Beautiful, cozy cabin at the top of Screamer Mountain in Clayton, GA. Forget your cares and worries as you nestle in for some R&R. You won't believe the views from the porch of three states - South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia! Cuddle up by the custom stone fireplace for a romantic weekend, or step outdoors to enjoy the natural beauty. Pictures alone cannot capture the ambiance and beauty of this location. Bring the kids too and experience the outdoor opportunities of this scenic area!
Plan a weekend of hiking the Tallulah Gorge, fishing the Tallulah River, rafting the Chatooga River, or shopping at the unique antique and gift shops nearby. We are approximately 12 minutes from the Kingwood Golf and Country Club and only 10 minutes from darling downtown Clayton. Save your appetite and drive up the road 15 minutes to the famous Dillard House for a family style dining meal that is sure to please all. The Dillard House also offers horseback riding.
Our cabin comes with a fully equipped, modern kitchen. It is a very open floor plan, with the upstairs loft and staircase overlooking the main living area. The interior is all done in custom wood, logs and mountain laurel. The master bedroom on the main level has a king size bed and great views out the walkout porch. The upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and amazing views as well. There is an upstairs loft with two twin beds.
This is the perfect getaway, and yet has so many activities to enjoy within minutes.
Please note that there is not currently a landline phone at the cabin. We have AT&T wireless and we get great service there.

Why the Owner Chose Clayton
We rented cabins on Screamer Mountain for years, because we love the area and Clayton is just a wonderful place to be. When we rented 266 Poppy Lane, we fell in love with it, and made it our home. It has everything we ever wanted in a mountain cabin, is rustic in appearance, yet upscale in feel. The view from the decks is just breathtaking year round.
