Private and Beautiful Setting in Barnstable on Cape Cod
Year Purchased: 2007
Why the Owner Chose Barnstable
We bought our Cape home because we the love the area and want to retire here someday. The home is close to Barnstable harbor, Sandy Neck beach, and Rt. 6A, and although close to Hyannis and all the amenities, it feels like we are far away from the hustle and bustle. Being close to the Audubon Society's Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary allows us a beautiful walk to the beach through the grass and meadow trails and also brings all the birds and their beauty right to our home.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The quaintness of Barnstable village and the bay side of the Cape offers everything from, beaches to restaurants to shops to malls to whale watches, bike rides, long nature walks, to stress relieving relaxation!

This is a beautiful beach (1/2 mile from house) that is situated on Barnstable Harbor directly across from Sandy Neck and the lighthouse on Sandy Neck Beach.

Positive Rating
This lovely home offers a peaceful and private setting, yet is located ideally for exploring the Cape. Our family enjoyed walking to the beach at sunset, boogie-boarding in the waves of the Cape's beautiful beaches, taking in Cape Cod League baseball games, and cooling off with a swim after a long bike ride. The house is well-organized and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need on vacation, and the owner's tips on restaurants, beaches and other local information were invaluable. For our family, this was the perfect spot for a great summer vacation! Alex A. of Chevy Chase, MD Vacationed August 2009
Positive Rating
The house was just perfect for our family of 5. The split level house gave everyone some privacy, and plenty of room to move (particularly important when your 3 kids range in height from 5'11" to 6'5". The rooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and spices which was great when we utilized the propane barbeque on the patio. The outdoor double-head shower was a treat, and refreshing after a day at the beach. Our biggest disappointment was leaving the house after a brief week's stay! I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a very comfortable place to stay, and centrally located to all of the wonderful places to visit on the Cape!
