Set in the woods, back from the road is this newer Cape. As you leave the side deck it's a 1 minute stroll down a private wooded path to a sandy freshwater beach. There you'll find a 4'x16'dock with a canoe and rowboat for you to enjoy or bring your own boat and leave it at our dock. You can view the lake and beach from the house through the trees. The lake has excellent fishing for trout and bass and is almost 60 feet deep in some areas. Also some fishing gear is available for you to use. Other things you can do on the Lake are swimming, sailing, snorkeling,water skiing,windsurfing. (Sorry,no jet skis allowed on the property or at the dock.)
There's a warm water Ocean Beach (Southcape)just 15 minutes away.Enjoy a mile of golden sand.

The main house consists of a 24' by 40' combination great room and kitchen/dining area with cathedral ceiling and skylights. Two sets of sliders lead to a 28' x 12' deck with wooded views and some water views. There are 3 bedrooms on this level with 2 baths. The bed layout is 1 queen,1 full, and 1 set of twins. The second floor has a 20' x 20' loft with a balcony overlooking the living area. There is a queen sleep sofa in the loft with a slider to a Juliette Balcony with pretty views. A crib is also available on-site and there's plenty of room for the kids to roll out their sleeping bags.
The bedrooms are air conditioned with window a/c units.
There's a full semi-finished walk-out basement with two sliders and 28' deck. Another 12' x 12' deck is off the dining room. All decks have a southern exposure for sun lovers.
There are excellant local restaurants with freshly caught fish and some of the best "chowda"around.Lots of kids fare available as well.Plenty of upscale shopping,bistros,cafes and a theater at Mashpee Commons just 10 minutes from the house.
Cape Cod is a Golfers paradise with over 100 courses.There are 5 courses just a short drive from the house.

My wife and I (I've been widowed since 1996)lived most of our lives in the area South of Boston.We spent a lot of time on Cape Cod and really loved it.The natural beauty of the Cape as well as the Ocean and the many lakes were a big draw for us.Living here year round was always our dream.When they come to visit the kids love it here as well.
I've been in the rental business for over 20 years and work hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible.Thanks for considering us.
Why the Owner Chose Mashpee
We had thought living on the Ocean would be the ideal situation. However when we saw the Lake in Mashpee we fell in love with it.It's only short walk to the lake beach and it turns out to be a much safer situation for small children.Also fishing with the kids is much more fun in fresh water.And if you have a Canoe,Kayak or Rowboat it's so convenient.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The open floor plan design makes it very comfortable and easy to get around.We love the breeze that comes off the Lake in the summertime.It is so refreshing.And the waterviews off the back deck are really very pretty.The location is so convenient to all the shops at Mashpee Commons,Excellent Restaurants,Food shopping and area attractions like Plimouth Plantation,the Mayflower,Plymouth Rock,The Amusement Center,and the many golf courses etc.And if we chose we're just a short ride to Southcape Ocean Beach.

Imagine a short walk to the pond with a cup of coffee in hand to be greeted by ducks and beautiful sunshine. The description & photos tell it all. A new beautiful & spacious cape. Clean and equiped with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Great for families of all ages. Mashpee is centrally located to many attractions: Silver Bay Beach, Cotuit, Mashpee Commons, Golf, Otis Air Force Base.... We'll be back again. Thanks Bill for being a welcoming and friendly host!

We had a wonderful time staying in the Pond house. It was new, very clean. Bill had everything you needed to make our stay comfortable. It is a beautiful house and lake. It was great to fish and go on the row boat and have time with our children as a family. It was close to Boston, and many fun things to visit on Cape Cod.
