This large 2-story home is on a beautiful tidal river and located near Darien on the Georgia coast. It is convenient to I-95, Savannah, Brunswick, St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Jekyll Island, and Jacksonville, FL and is surrounded by majestic oaks draped with Spanish moss. The house has large windows and doors allowing beautiful views of the river and marshes. There is a screened porch and large deck overlooking the river from the main level and a large deck and lanai overlooking the river downstairs.
The Gourmet Kitchen has Jenn-Air and Bosch appliances and overlooks the dining area with large family dining table and a large family room with fireplace. The Master Suite, which is almost as large as the Kitchen, dining, and family area, has a king bed, sitting area, fireplace, mini-office, and spacious bathroom with large jacuzzi tub and private shower and toilet. The other bedrooms are large with private vanities and beautiful views of the outdoors. Open the casement windows to enjoy the coastal breezes or take advantage of ceiling fans in every room.
In the 2-car garage are bicycles and a canoe that can be enjoyed during your stay. The biking is relaxed and beautiful winding through the live oaks and wildlife that cover the peninsula. There is also a ping-pong table in the house and a power hook-up for a RV. Bring your boat, tie it to the dock, and enjoy it for fishing, water skiing, tubing, and access to the nearby islands. There is a marina with a lift only minutes away where you can put your boat in the water and purchase bait.

Why the Owner Chose Darien
Twenty years ago this September 2nd Jeff and I were married in the 200 year old Presbyterian Church in Darien. Our wedding reception was held at my mother-in-laws home which is now our home. We wanted to keep the property in the family to be able to enjoy the beauty and peace and quiet. We also wanted our children to experience this special part of Georgia.
The Unique Benefits at this Riverfront Home
The fishing is phenomenal right off of the dock! There is a very deep hole and people come from quite a distance to fish here. We all love to go out and fish and enjoy the serenity and the beauty of the marshes.
Owner's Map of Darien
We love the laid back atmosphere of Darien and our home. We love bringing the kids down with their friends to fish, swim, bike ride and canoe. Our whole family loves bringing our four legged babies with us! Pistol and Peaches our English Springer Spaniels.
Our favorite places to go and eat are BJ's in Darien which have the best fried shrimp around. We love going to Willie's Weenie Wagon in Brunswick for their fish sandwich, fries and sweet tea.
