My partner and I spent a blissful 10 days staying at ‘The Palms at Sunset’ in April and were hugely impressed by the standard of the property. The space is larger than it appears on the website and the appliances available and furniture provided are of the highest quality. Even the little details ie. the bed linen and towels provided are superb - my partner and I commented often on how incredibly comfortable the 'princess' king sized bed was - divine. The bath was a real treat and being able to see the ocean from the shower was rather special! Great location in terms of accessing beautiful quiet long stretches of sand, wonderful yoga classes, surf lessons etc and we even had a great massage on the deck the number for which was provided in the Guest information booklet. We hope to return to Oahu as we really were blown away by what the island had to offer and will try to stay at ‘The Palms’ again - I would recommend it to any groups, couples and families as there will be nothing you won't find here - even the outdoor shower ran hot and the BBQ was fabulous! It is one of those few rentals which goes a few steps further to ensure you have a memorable stay, and you end up looking after it well on account of how beautifully you found it on your arrival. I would definitely rent from Kacey in the future as she was promptly responsive every time I contacted her and went out of her way to accommodate our last minute booking. Thank you so very much Kacey - you helped us to fall in love with the magical island of Oahu.

The Palms was a wonderful place for us to spend our 25th anniversary. The place was great and the location was a short walk to sunset beach....less than 10 min from Turtle Bay for dining. It had everything we needed. Becky&Tom Austin,Tx

Peaceful retreat

This house was perfectly situated on the north shore. Very well equipped and tastefully decorated, as reflected in the photos. The grounds were beautiful and the wrap around verandah perfect for watching the sunset or listening to the crashing waves. The property was in a great location for exploring Oahu and also close to the market and many shops and restaurants. Be aware that during the winter months the local beaches are not good for swimming due to the high surf, but are amazing for watching surfers, crashing waves and sunsets. We found a perfect beach just a few minutes away at turtle bay resort, great for kids and families, perfect for snorkeling as well. We had some minor issues with how the house had been cleaned, but the manager is aware and I believe this has only been a recent problem and will be addressed. The owner/property manager was a pleasure to deal with, from our very first inquiry she was helpful and efficient and promptly answered all of our questions and concerns. I would highly recommend this property. P.S. if you happen to be a light sleeper, you will need earplugs; the roosters next door start their symphony very early! Yet the sound of the surf will lull you to sleep!

This property was absolutely beautiful and just about 250yards from the beach! Everything that you could possibly want in a rental was available. Kitchen even stocked with many spices! Bicycles, beach chairs, BBQ grill, and 2 lovely decks available for your enjoyment. Super comfy beds and linens, decorated beautifully, and maticulously maintained! Welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and Waikiki, yet close enough to enjoy a little of the city if one desires. Would recommend to everyone who loves to enjoy a beautiful beach property! Owner was extremely helpful & very responsive. Loved Jameson's in Halaiwa and horseback riding @ Happy Trails!! Would rate it a 10/10!

Happy on the North Shore

Well located house. Beautifully furnished - very comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Bikes included were great - overall the house met my expectations and it would be hard not to have a great time here.

Honeymoon on the north shore

We absolutly loved this place!!! They provided every thing we needed except surf boards. The home itself was beautiful and we made good use of the beach and water toys. The master bedroom was great with a comfy bed and double french doors that opened onto the lani. Kitchen and living space was comfortable open and inviting. My wife loved the big tub and step down bathroom. The landscaping was beautiful and the outdoor shower kept the beach (mostly) out of the house:) The second bed in the loft looked nice and would work great for a small family or couples traveling together. Sunset beach is an easy 1 minute walk away....by far the best beach we discovered in our time there. The owners were fantastic to work with and the prpoerty managers were great. We recently stayed here in March 2011 for 7 nights. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. Felt like home away from home. Very close to the beach. Quiet location and private. Well for sure come back to this place again.

My friend and I stayed at this beautiful house on the North Shore for about 11 days in February, 2011. You can see Sunset Beach from the wrap-around porch, which is where we spent most of our time when we were "home." The photos of this house, inside and out, don't do it justice. The house is way larger, and more lovely than it appears in the photos. The home is immaculate and beautifully decorated/furnished. The owner has made sure that the house is equipped with everything that one could possibly want or need, including pots, pans, dishes, linens, bath towels, beach towels, Boogie Boards, bicycles, coolers, snorkeling gear, etc. The couple who cares for the property never invaded our privacy but was available for us if we had any questions. Prior to our stay, the owner made sure we knew where the local supermarket was, in addition to the local Costco. The owner was a pleasure to work with throughout the business end of our trip, and until the very end of our preparation. The photos accurately depict the distance from the house to the beach (about a one minute walk). This was the best travel experience I have ever had. I will NEVER stay in another hotel/resort again... ever. If Kacey will have us, we will come back every year. This home is the epitome of the Aloha Spirit.

This was the most awesome Home for my family! Cute lean spacious and comfortable especially the beds! Like sleeping in a cloud!It was perfect for my 2 boys trampoline and tree house included!! and so conveniently located! We absolutely loved it and will be back!

BEST VACATION EVER

We travel a lot and I have to say this was the most wonderful place I have ever stayed. Not only is it in an amazing location, just a short walk from a gorgeous non crowded beach, but the house was even better than the pictures show. We stayed for 13 days and Sandra and her family the care takers were extremely helpful with anything we could need including helping with our beach wedding and reception. We pretty much stayed on the north shore the whole time and were never board weather we were surfing, snorkeling, hiking, riding the houses beach cruisers down the LOOONNGGG stretched bike path that runs along the beach or just relaxing on the porch watching the ocean. The house was beyond anything we could have hoped for and we can't wait to return!!

The word I would use to describe this property is "perfect"! We stayed here 9 days and hated to leave. It's in the best location on the north shore! Relaxing on the lanai and enjoying the smell of ginger and plumeria filling the air make it a great place to chill out while enjoying the beautiful views. Modern, well maintained and beautifully landscaped (great job Sandra!) Everything you need for a great trip is here. Sunset Beach and Ted's Bakery are an easy walk away. Can't wait to return!!

We will add to the cliche....this was truly a home away from home! The house is tastefully decorated, very cozy and comfortable for our family of 5. It is in an excllent location ~ 2 minute walk to the famous Sunset Beach and close to everything the quaint town has to offer. Thank you ( Especially Sandra and family) for a memorable vacation. We're already planning our return to our piece of paradise next summer.

This truly was my home away from home! Beautiful clean and comfy. Everything is Brand new and the property is away from the hustle and bustle of the beach, but literally only a 2 minute walk down the driveway to world famous Sunset Beach. You will love walks along the beach and bike rides up and down the bike path. This is truly Heaven!

This rental is a home away from home. You will be treated like family...The house is beautiful, a warm welcome awaits you, and everything you need for a relaxing, wonderful vacation is at your fingertips. This is the real Hawaii...laid back, the best and most beautiful surfing beaches, hanging with the locals. The house is great---so comfy and decorated very nicely. We had everything we needed for an incredible beach holiday. The bike rides along the beach each day from Waimea up to Turtle Bay were awesome! Can't wait to go back.
