Our Island Hideaway is located in the beautiful Maalaea Banyans, Maalaea, Maui, about 75 ft. from the ocean on the second floor. It is a completely furnished 1br/1ba unit including a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room, so that four people can occupy the unit comfortably. The kitchen has been completly remodeled with black galaxy granite countertops, natural maple cabinetry , and new stainless & black ceramic top radiant heat range oven. Our unit is attractively furnished with a tropical motif and excellently maintained.
Enjoy spectacular sunrises while you have breakfast on our spacious Lanai. Listen to the sound of waves crashing as you dine in our Island "Hideaway". In the summer months you can watch the surfers who ride the world famous "Ma'alaea Bay Freight Train". Throughout the winter months you can watch the humpback whales display their majesty, all from our Lanai.
Soak in the warm Maui sun with its cooling trade winds by the pool, Relax in the jacuzzi, drift through the tropical nights under romantic stars, and rejuvenate the soul as you relax and unwind in "Americas Pacific Paradise". 180 degrees from Ordinary.
Adjacent to our Island "Hideaway" is Maui's longest beach, Sugar / Ma'alaea Beach( approx. 9 mi.) where white sand fringes the porcelain blue pacific. Ma'alaea Banyans is conveniently close to popular destinations like the old whaling town of Lahaina ( which was also the capital of Hawaii in the past), Kihei, Wailea and Ka'anapali. There you can find boating, snorkeling, scuba diving and sailing adventures.In Ma'alaea Village you can find the world famous Maui Ocean Center which also has a 100' acrylic tube underwater you can walk through. There are multiple restaurants and stores in the Village also. All this within walking distance. Ma'alaea is the last undeveloped area on the Island and is centrally located and not busy. Why the Owner Chose Maalaea
We chose to buy at Ma'alaea because it is easy to get to from the airport and still is very remote, which keeps it from geting to crowded. When we bought the Ma'alaea Triangle (Ma'alaea Harbor Shops) did not exist. Now it is quaint little village with novelty shops and 5 lowrise restaurantes. Some people drive right past Ma'alaea and not even know it was there, it is behind the sugar cane fields.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Another Nice feature is that we are next to Ma'alaea/Sugar Beach, which walk most mornings and if we see 20 people , that is a crowd. You can walk all the way to Kihei and back. You can wake and sit on the Lanai and watch the ocean come alive, or visit our "Tidepools" in front of our location as I do every morning.
Visit our Tidepools when the tide is coming in our going out, Then watch the ocean come alive!
A 1 minute walk to the the end of our street and you arrive at Ma'alaea / Sugar Beach. You can walk, run snorkel swim, surf at this location. You can also walk all the way to Kihei with no crowds.

The wife and I have been going to th Hawaiian Islands since 1994. After visiting all Islands we decided on Maui "The Valley Isle", and the location at Ma'alaea. This was the most centrally located place on the Isle that we could find and the last undeveloped area. Ma'alaea is a nice little quaint harbor village. When we want busy we can drive the 20 to 30 minutes and retunr to our "Hideaway"
