Barb and Jim's condo is absolutely wonderful. Very well appointed and exceptionally clean. The location is perfect. The marina is at the bottom of the hill and town is a few blocks away. We rented a car but it is not necessary. The view from the balcony is breath taking and we saw whales, stingray, seals and had our own little hummingbird visit us every day. All of our needs were met and then some. Don't hesitate to visit this beautiful condo located ideally in Cabo.

From the moment we entered the door we felt at home. Everything we needed was provided and the "feel" of the condo was perfect. We just returned and pulled up the pictures once again as we already miss our temporary paradise. A very quiet and well maintained community, it was just our style. The waves are amazing to watch as they crash to shore-we understood immediately why they say-don't go swimming here. Of course you can walk to the arch rocks and a "helpful" local will show you how to climb over and go to Lover's Beach, but we recommend taking a more conventional way or just enjoy the pools on site. Our greatest discovery-The Crazy Lobster on Hildago Street. Broiled lobster tail for $9.95 just can't be beat and they are very friendly and grateful for your business. Hummingbirds and others were a daily occurance so remember to fill the feeder. We were fortunate to get a private whale watching boat for an unbelievable price and saw several whales and dolphin. Be sure to stop by The Joint at the Marina and ask for Victor who can make all the arrangements. Thanks Barbara and Jim for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

"That Baja Feeling"

We found a new name for how Cabo San Lucas makes us feel, that "Baja Feeling" with thanks to Jim and Barbara for leaving the book of the same name in one of the bedrooms. I encourage all to read it here while surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. We saw at least a dozen species of birds (probably at the minimum 5 or 6 different types of hummingbirds alone) and the variety of plantings at Terrasol has grown by leaps and bounds over the past two years. Each day we had whale sightings, some tail splashes, some just blowing, head straight up tail stands, and even an out of water whole whale jump with a twist ( a "ten" from all the judges watching ). The amazing friendly staff at Terrasol and the people of Cabo San Lucas continue to make us feel like we are returning home each year we return. We enjoyed the wonderful meals each night at different restaurants all within walking distance of what we have decided is one of the best planned condominium resorts ever built. The information book in the dining area was great with all the restaurants reviews by the owners. I am not a jealous person by nature but I have to admit that I am just a bit envious of the Duff's wonderful home here on the shore of the Pacific. Congratulations on owning the perfect vacation home filled with artistic touches and so well equipped we wanted for nothing during our stay.

Highly recommend Terrasol

Our first visit to Cabo, and we are hooked. Terrasol is a perfect location - a five minute walk to the hustle and bustle of the Marina, with the coming and going of fishing boats and cruise ships, and the town of Cabo San Lucas where you'll find countless stalls and shops and excellent restaurants (we particularly recommend Romeo y Julietas and Salvatore's). Inside the gates of Terrasol is totally different - peaceful and quiet with a wonderful stretch of beach (watch the huge waves - and keep out of their way! - and also watch for the whales and dolphins playing around not far off shore). We enjoyed both swimming pools, one with its own swim up bar and restaurant (thank you, Mario!). The Duff residence is fabulous, offering beautiful views from living room and both bedroom suites, and is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The bougainvillea draping around both patios is gorgeous - sets the condo off from other units and invites some very friendly hummingbirds! Thanks to our hosts for sharing your condo with us, and also for your helpful hints and recommendations - we hope to return again many times!

Captures the beauty of Mexico

A truly magnificent place to stay, we had the time of our lives on this trip! Whale watching from either patio, traveling around the coast, playing (and shopping) at Madono Beach, relaxing on the beach at Terrosal and swimming pools, enjoying the great food right at Terrosal, and climbing the rocks to Lovers Beach, just down the beach from Terrosal. Then coming back to the peaceful and very relaxing setting of your Condo. The location and the decor were absolutely perfect! We truly enjoyed waking up every morning looking right out the bedroom window and seeing the beach and ocean, sitting on the terrace sipping coffee anticipating and plotting the days activities, keeping the binoculars handy for another whale sighting, and then relaxing to an ice cold cocktail from the swim-up-bar in the late afternoon. We loved arriving from a weary day of travel and just walking right down to the main pool, ordering lunch and starting our vacation...we never did go grocery shopping! The food at the pool and in Cabo were fantastic and the drinks were magnifico! So much to do, so little time, we will be in contact soon to plan our next trip. You were very accommodating with information about Cabo and the amenities you have at the Condo provided everything we needed, and then some. Thanks for letting us stay in your home.

A perfect getaway

My husband and I stayed for a week at Terrasol and loved it in its entirety. The location is excellent, the grounds impeccably maintained and the unit is clean and spacious with every tiny detail included (down to needle and thread, bandaids, candles and every kitchen gadget imaginable). Do make a Wal-Mart run and stock up on water and food because you may not want to leave once you get settled. We ate at Capella's (a true dining experience) at the far right end of the beach, nestled literally right up ON the rocks. The Duffs have lots of info on great places to eat. Do feel at ease about using the public transportation and taxis. Walking into town is simple as well. Be very careful when watching the surf and the waves. They are beautiful and powerful!; NO swimming in the Pacific! (a serious message:) Certainly, enjoy walking the beach, just keep a reasonable distance. The public beach at Medrano is easy to get to and allows safe swimming and an assortment of water activities (jet skis, parasailing, banana boat rides, snorkeling, boat and taxi rides.....). However, the Talapa bar at the main pool in Terrasol allows you to enjoy the ocean view, sound of the surf, comfy chairs, umbrellas, drinks, food, and delightful company in a more serene, less crowded setting just steps away from "home" (and away from all the entrepreneurial vendors selling assorted treasures from Mexico). We highly recommend Terrasol #250. It was the perfect getaway for us. Thank you, Jim and Barbara! We'll be back!

Duff's condo at Terrasol

This condo is just wonderful. We stayed here for 8 days over the Easter break. Very comfortable, and all the staff is so very helpful--we saw Carlos most of the time at the front desk---he is just great!!! Nice walk to town, plus had car for trips to Todos Santos and San Jose del Cabo. Weather??? Not a cloud in the sky for the whole week. By the way--we especially liked the pool by the palapa bar and restaurant--had a lot of fun with the staff there!! We are hoping to plan a return trip for Easter 2012!!!

Thank you so much for having such a place. We felt “at home” immediately. Terasol is a wonderful place and 250 isgorgeous. It was such a wonderful experience to walk in the door and see how wonderfully clean and well maintained it was. A far cry from the dump we had in La Holla! The deck was great. We enjoyed the morning whale shows and we even spotted a purple headed humming bird at the feeder! We refilled it, as the orioles? (the yellow birds with the black throat) were helping themselves. All the amenities were there. The pool and bar were well used. Terasol is wionderfully located close to the harbour, but away from the hustle of it all. Thanks for having such a wonderful place and sharing it. We shall return.

We stayed here the month of January. We found the description to be very accurate. We were delighted to find it so well furnished with everything we needed. The property was clean and well maintained and even provided cleaning once a week. The owner was very helpful giving us little hints as to what transportation to use to get there, etc. We loved our area. If you are looking for a party resort, this is not for you. Things we really enjoyed.... beautiful sunsets, hummingbirds greeting us every day, blooming bougainvillea, whale watching, walking to the downtown marina area, beautiful weather (it only rained one day out of thirty), Fiesta at Playa Grande, eating out at interesting restaurants, cruise ships coming in daily, the boat parades nightly to see the sunset. You can drink the water and none of us ever had a problem. To be safe we did get the giant bottle of water from the desk. Do take the water taxi to Lands End. We left it until the last day ..... thinking whatever, but the short trip is worth it. We never had a car using only public transportation when needed. Got great exercise .... no need for a gym. We really enjoyed our visit in Cabo San Lucas and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

We were so glad to have chosen this beautiful condo at Terrasol for our vacation. With glorious views of the ocean from each room, we enjoyed whale watching from the balcony, dinner under the stars and long walks on the gorgeous beach. Town is an easy stroll away but Terrasol's quiet and the comfortable condo made it hard to leave.

We just returned from a great week in Cabo. Condo was spotless, well equipped. You really can drink the water, we didn't get sick! Although it's a bit salty for drinking a whole glass. Buy your drinking H2O. View is wonderful and peacefull. Staff at bar/cafe were very wonderful. we walked to town for most lunches and dinners. The barbeque was great, I made chicken one night. If you take a cab, note the cab number (on the side). I left my wallet in the cab. Other drivers asked what number it was. We thought we narrowed it down but alas, he had gone to bed and We couldn't reach him the next day. Perhaps it fell out after I got out, but it would.ve been nice to check the cab. Kate and John.

Jim,We had a wonderful Christmas in Cabo at your beautiful condo. The very best part from the beginning was your effort in letting us know what to expect - including guiding us through the airport and onto the white vans! You even emailed us a photo of the vans so we knew what to look for and that the charge should be $15.00. We also received emails with advice on everything we needed to know: where to stock up on essentials for the week, tips on where to eat (especially the pool bar and restaurant), and ideas of fun things to do. The condo was absolutely gorgeous, spacious and neat and clean. The kitchen was full of everything one would need. We ate out every night which was our choice since we met other friends staying at Terrasol but one could certainly have a wonderful dinner in the condo if preferred. We found that it was so easy to walk to the Marina to restaurants and just to walk and sightsee! We took the water taxis to Medano Beach for dinner a couple times. We had dinner Christmas Eve at The Office. The taxis literally run up onto the sand beach so it’s lots of fun. We also took water taxis to other beaches and enjoyed it. We a found it very easy to take the van taxis at the bottom of the hill at Terrasol. We had a large group of 12 each night but could fit in one van most times so it was fun for us to travel together for dinner. My favorite part was the 80 degree weather with every day full of sun! The pools are wonderful, especially the heated one near the pool bar. And as you said Jim, the breakfast and lunches there are super! We all enjoyed the quiet beach and water and whale watching at Terrasol by day and the fun and good restaurants nearby in the evening. Cabo and Terrasol and your beautiful condo are definitely on the top of our list for an all time favorite vacation destination! Thanks Jim for being so very gracious, for allowing us to come last minute and for all your efforts in making our Christmas vacation very special. Mary and Family

I have stayed at this wonderful beach condo twice and have loved each time. I found myself not wanting to leave and find myself today wondering when I can go back!! I loved the fact that you can literally see the ocean from both rooms and the family room. I also loved that it wasn't right in the middle of all the shops and had a more relaxing atmosphere. But then at the same time it was a short walking distance to the shops and restaurant for those nights when I didn't feel like cooking. It is honestly the best of both worlds. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away for a fantastic vacation. The condo is great for families, singles, couples, or just a group of friends!
