The view from Casita Llao Llao is literally the most stunning thing I have ever seen. Of course Bariloche is beautiful, but I cannot think of a more amazing place to stay. I was lucky enough to stay at Casita Llao Llao for an extended period of time, and I know it is amazing at any time of year. This location is the most serene, quiet, and peaceful place to spend a vacation. The lake is just across the road where you can access the beach, plus the bus stop is right outside so you have access to anywhere in town. The owners speak both English & Spanish, and they lived there for so long that they know ALL the good spots in town. They can give you restaurant suggestions, tips on all the close hiking trails, and help regarding both the ski resort Cerro Catedral and backcountry ski access. All around I had an incredible time at Casa Llao Llao, and I highly recommend it to everyone!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

This cabin was a great place to stay. Stunning views of Lago Nahuel Huapi and the Andes - we could see Chile from our house. Wireless Internet and Skype, cable TV, available. Simple but comfortable furniture, kitchen. Owners were helpful with excursion arrangements. You must be able to climb a steep flight of stairs! Reasonably priced, and down the road from hotels that charge $500 USD per night. You can reach much by public bus or walking, but a rental car is helpful.
