Shelter Cove Harbour is a Mediterranean styled marina with 7 restaurants and several shops. You can spend a week there and never leave the Harbour area.
For those who love the beach, there is a free shuttle service from March to October that picks you up at the "front door", so no more 20 minute hike with the children and all their beach equipment. If you do not want the shuttle, or you want to come in the Fall and Spring (when the weather is mild and the golf is great), there is also private parking at the beach for Shelter Cove guests. The beach is only a 5 minute drive from the building. The beach is one of the largest on the East Coast and is suitable for biking.
Shelter Cove Mall, the largest on the Island, is a 15 minute walk or a five minute drive. A small strip center with additional restaurants, liquor store and a large grocery store is another five minutes.
Hilton Head Island is a golf mecca with 22 semi-public courses on the Island and another dozen within a ten mile radius off of the Island. Contact the management company for golf reservations and reduced rates.
The villa has a King Bed in the Master and two twins in the 2nd Bedroom, each with a private bath and ample closet space. There is a Queen fold-out sofa in the Living Room. There is a full kitchen and a wet bar in the Living Room. All linens are provided, and there is a washer and dryer in the unit.
There is a terrace overlooking the Neptune sculpture (it's a sundial), which is the hub of activity, and the Harbour. There are nightly concerts at the concert pavilion and a weekly fair and fire works on Tuesday from May to September.
Hilton Head Island has miles of bike paths (all flat) and kayaking in the 11 Mile Lagoon which is accessed across the street from the Harbour.
