From the street, you would never guess what lies beyond the gate: a dazzling residential compound with three custom-designed buildings: the Great House and two guest houses, all arranged around a large pool. A continuous sheet of falling water cools the spacious travertine-tiled courtyard. This sophisticated 3-structure property is only rented as one single home. It has vaulted ceilings and custom furnishings throughout and was recently featured in Metropolitan Home Magazine. After you enter the front gate, you will be in the first courtyard, which has an oversized Jacuzzi. The Front House will be on your right, the first of three buildings that make up this spectacular home.
The Front Guest House:
A simple French door opens to a stunning European galley-style custom kitchen, the first of two kitchens in this compound. At first, you’ll wonder where the refrigerator and freezer are, until you open the four sets of drawers that take the place of the standard run-of-the-mill “fridge”.
From the kitchen you will enter the library, with its vaulted ceiling, gas fireplace and an enormous custom sectional that becomes a queen bed (with memory foam mattress, no less) to make the first of five bedrooms in this home. The entertainment center is here as well, and this library is big enough to accommodate everyone for “movie night”. Off the library is the large vaulted bedroom with a queen bed. The bathroom is simply spectacular, with vintage green glass tile, a clear glass sink & vanity and a very large glass shower.
The Great House:
Directly across the courtyard is the entrance to The Great House. Before you open the front door, prepare yourself: as impressive as The Front Guest House was, The Great House is simply drop-dead gorgeous. The front foyer has custom “water wall” fountains on either side. A one-of-a-kind glass chandelier hangs overhead. As you step down to the great room, you’ll be struck by the sense of space and light: the vaulted ceiling with its three ceiling fans soars fifteen feet overhead. Through the wall of twelve French doors, you can see the pool and waterfall that give this home its name. The flooring is Travertine marble throughout the entire house. There is a fireplace and plenty of room for entertaining.
There is a powder room off the dining area, and the attention to detail lavished on even this simple space give you a renewed appreciation of this one-of-a-kind home.
The kitchen is modern, yet lush with Italian custom wood cabinetry and “architectural” appliances. Any chef would be glad to prepare food in this space.
The master bedroom is simply luxurious; the 15 foot vaulted ceiling makes the space more open and calming. The linens and furnishings are far beyond what one would expect in a vacation rental. The in-suite master bathroom is stunning.
There is another bedroom in the Great House, down the hall off the living room. Once again, you’ll be struck by the custom furniture and expensive materials used in furnishing this space. The in-suite bathroom is all custom tile, with another oversized glass shower.
The Main Courtyard & Pool:
Passing into the main courtyard through one of the ten French doors, you will have entered a completely private enclave surrounded by lush foliage. The water streaming into the pool is relaxing and cools the entire space. The deck is finished in Travertine; smooth and cooling for bare feet. At the rear of the courtyard, you’ll see The Back Guest House, the third and last home of the compound.
The Back Guest House:
A beautiful home in its own right, The Back Guest House has its own porch with cooling overhead fan. On entering, you realize that this house has its very own theme, with split bamboo lining the vaulted ceiling and custom wicker furniture. There is a seating area and even a dining table and chairs. The bathroom for this house is unique, with a private sheltered outdoor shower surrounded by lush tropical foliage. Usually, guest houses make do with standard bathroom fixtures. Not so here. Even the mirror is a custom design. Simple, but extraordinary.
Amenities:
Wireless high-speed Internet access is included. Maid and/or linen service is available on a daily or weekly basis at additional cost. Private chefs are available, full time, part time or for special events.
