Guest Quarters on Capitol Hill is a self-hosted, spacious one-bedroom apartment ideal for a couple, small family or business traveler visiting Washington DC. The private entrance of the apartment opens into the large, bright living room with bay window, and working fireplace. A comfortable queen-sized sleeper sofa allows sleeping accommodations for extra guests. Additionally, the owners can provide a portable crib for an infant. Guests will also find the living room furnished with an easy chair, cable TV, portable CD player, and a library of books, magazines, movies and games. The apartment is centrally air-conditioned and heated with control in the apartment. The table in the bay window doubles as a dining area and a desk for catching up on work. Guests are given full access to the fully equipped kitchen for all meals. As an apartment, breakfast and daily housekeeping are not available. All bed and bath linens are provided.
The large kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. The apartment is fully equipped with dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots and pans. There is a separate washer and dryer and an iron and ironing board.
The quiet, comfortable bedroom has a queen-sized bed with comforter, a clock radio, a telephone, dresser and a bedside basket of magazines. The bedroom opens onto an interior light well, filled with plants. The private bathroom has plenty of fresh towels, a hair dryer and a tub and shower with massaging shower head. In addition to the queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room, a portable crib is available for an extra small child.
LOCATION:
Just five blocks from Union Station where visitors can access the Metro (subway), Amtrak and Marc commuter rails. The US Capitol, Library of Congress, Supreme Court and Eastern Market are all within walking distance. The National Mall, Smithsonian Institution Museums, National Monuments, International Spy Museum, National Zoo and all attractions of Washington, DC are easily accessible by public transportation. The Stanton Park-Union Station neighborhood offers a wide selection of restaurants, movie theaters, grocery/convenience stores and shopping. |
