I stayed at Coastal Classic over Labor Day this year (2011). Tropical Storm Lee rolled through while we were there, but our enjoyment was not at all diminished. We arrived before the torrential rains began, and I jumped up and down like a little girl upon arrival at this house. It is majestic. More space than anyone could ask for with multiple bedrooms, floors, and places to retreat to within the house. I went with a group from my church in Atlanta. We are all in our twenties and thirties, and this house was designated as the "girls' house". We had the entire group (43 people) over daily for meals and fellowship, and there was no lack of space. This house emanates a feeling of rest and peace at all times. The pictures do not do it justice. The views are spectacular. The beds are so comfortable. I had the room with the glass fireplace that divides it from the little sitting room. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The bathroom is large and SO nice, with glass-walled shower. We felt very catered-to. There are many private places within the house to disappear to if you want even more peace or solitude. I just found out my niece stayed at this same house three years ago, and she's raving about it too! I would LOVE to return to this house as soon as possible! The kitchen is fully stocked. Linens abundant, even a fully stocked bookshelf on one of the stair landings.Highly recommended!
Owner response:Thank you for this kind review. We work hard to make Coastal Classic a place where families and other groups will enjoy their time at the beach. Coastal Classic is not available for weddings (www.coastalclassicweddings.com) Please pass this along to your friends who might be thinking of a destination wedding. We hope that your group will return next year. Tommy Thomas

My family spend a week here in August of 2011. It was fantastic. The house is beautiful and well laid out. I have a large family, including several babies, and everyone was comfortable. One of my daughters slept each night in the hammock on the top level and enjoyed the waves' sounds and the great breeze. The pool was fantastic to cool off in. The kitchen was very nice and we cooked a lot of meals there. Destin and other cities are very close and convenient. The beach is very close and was great. Powdery sand, little seaweed, nice waves, not crowded, everything you want.
Owner response:Thanks so much. We are glad that it was a good week. Hope to see you again next year.

Had a great time here with my extended family-11 in all. Plenty of room for everyone, easy walk to the beach, could always find a shady spot at the pool. My only real complaint is that the 3rd floor queen bathroom does not have a shower- garden tub only. We managed to work around it, but unless you're a bath person, be forwarned! Will almost surely return next summer.

Absolutely gorgeous home. Our kids LOVED the pool and appreciated the beach equipment that was available. The beach sand is like baby powder...It was a perfect setting for a wonderful family getaway with friends. We enjoyed walking a mile or two to Starbucks!

A perfect getaway for us and several married couples. Large enough to gather and eat together without feeling cramped whatsoever, yet everyone could retreat to their own space and enjoy a moment of quiet alone. Close proximity to the beach, which was never crowded. Great pool and outdoor space. We loved it and look forward to coming back next year!

Our family stayed at Coastal Classic between Christmas and New Years. It was a beautiful time to be at the beach, and there was something for everyone. We felt we had escaped reality while staying there. The scenery, beach, and accommodations were all PERFECT. It is a quiet, relaxing and peaceful get away that I would highly recommend to anyone! Thank you.

This home is lovely and sleeps a fantastic crew. The private beach is rivals any other beach I have visited, it is majestic. The property overlooks a state park and there are multiple places from which to watch the sun set and spend time with friends. It also has an elevator which makes the facilities accessible to those with mobility issues. This place is fantastic!!!!!!!

Thank you for the lovely vacation at Coastal Classic! The tastefully decorated home was so inviting and peaceful with unexpected beautiful views toward the ocean and forest. The floorplan provided ways for our group to be together or to relax on our own. All the updates make the home so easy to use. The large covered porches are the perfect spot for outdoor living. We highly recommend this vacation rental!

This house is wonderful! My husband and I rented it with 4 other couples (two with young infants) and it provided great space both for socializing all together and for couple/alone time. The kitchen was well-equipped and good for multiple cooks. The view from the balcony is terrific, and the sunsets are magnificent! The beach is a very short walk away and is the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. All of our guests absolutely loved it and had a very rejuvenating vacation!

We had the BEST time during our recent trip. Coastal Classic provided us with plenty of room and a great environment. Each and every person in our large party had a great time and enjoyed where we stayed. We hope to do the exact same trip, at the exact same time, at the exact same location...

Staying in Coastal Classic was amazing. Such alot of space, great views and a unique sense of being at home even when you are far from home. Everything you need to to have the best holiday ever. Set up for lots of people to stay. A place where you can enjoy being with friends or family and yet have private space. The beach of sugar white sand and secluded location is fantastic. I can't wait to visit Coastal Classic again as soon as I can!

The minute we stepped into Coastal Classic, we felt like we were stepping into a beautiful retreat. We were able to rest and relax from the moment we entered. The views from every window are spectacular. The home is well equipped and ready for meetings if needed. We had many places to retreat to to read or rest, however, there is the great room that has comfy furniture to rest your head, and enjoy friends and family. We hope to return with our family sometime for a family reunion. The beaches are wide and beautiful. It is a quiet area, away from the "hustle and bustle" of everyday life. A place where you can concentrate on your loved ones and life. Lots of good books available in the many libraries around the home. The pool is just a few feet from the front door.... a lovely place to sun bath and read. You will enjoy your stay!

Our time at Coastal Classic was a much needed and much appreciated get away. The house is tastefully decorated and incredibly roomy for up to twenty people. The views are amazing looking out over the water. The beach, which is just a short walk from the house, is pristine and uncrowded. We enjoyed running on the beach and through the state park in the morning and then spending time by the pool with a good book. There's plenty of shopping nearby and wonderful places to eat. Our favorite was Cafe Tango in Grayton Beach. A getaway at Coastal Classic will give you endless opportunities for an unforgettable vacation.

Coastal Classics was AMAZING! We had a group of 12 that went down for a long weekend and it was the most relaxing place I've been in ages. The house is big enough that you can spread out and still feel like your by yourself but it also has plenty of space on the porch and in the main room to get together. During the day we would all do our own thing as there would be people at the beach, some would stay at the house and enjoy reading a good book on one of the many patios, or swimming in the private pool. My favorite was the hamock up on the top deck! We would get together every night and play games out on the patio while we listened to the waves in the distance. We enjoyed the house so much that watching movies wasn't even apealing! We hope to go back as soon as possible. This is an ideal place for groups or families to vacation!

Coastal Classic is a wonderful vacation or retreat destination. This past February was my third visit. I thoroughly enjoy the fantastic ocean views (from almost every window in the house)and the stunning sunsets. This beautiful house is large and yet so very comfortable and private. It is ideal for a family getaway or a corporate retreat. I heartily recommend you giving this place a try.....you will love it and return just as I have.

This was the first break we have ever taken during 30 years of tax seasons, and believe me, we needed it!! The house, the location and the beach were a wonderful, relaxing retreat...perfect for recharging our batteries and souls! The hardest part was leaving for home, and we can't wait to go back again! Thanks and kudos to our hosts, Nancy and Tommy Thomas, for taking the time to create such a little piece of paradise.

The house and all of the amenities are fabulous. We love to go to the beach, which is very close, and then head to the pool afterwards. At night, we like to put the kids to bed and have an adult dinner on the porch, which is off of the kitchen. All of the bedrooms are comfortable and very spacious. There is plenty of room throughout the house to spread out. I particularly love the crow's nest on the highest level of the house, as I like to hide away up there on the hammock and read. Everything about this property is first class! I can't wait to go back and can't imagine staying anywhere else.

A tropical paradise! This is the PERFECT house for a family vacation. There is so much room and everything is kept immaculate. The pool is wonderful. The pristine beach is easily accessible and fun for all ages. We are amazed that the beach does not get crowded at all. One of our favorite things is eating meals out on the deck while watching the waves roll in. The perfect place for a large family reunion or a small group retreat.

The view from every window is spectacular. From the kitchen, I watch the beach. From the living room, the forest in the state park. From my room, the pool. Speaking of which, I love the pool! I always take several children, so the pool is invaluable on days when the water is too rough for the little ones. Even with good weather, when we aren't at the beach, we are in the pool.
