We had a wonderful time with my wife and sons. The apartment is fully equiped and very nice. The club at the beach is great for relaxing and watchig the sunset. I was also able to relax at the pool in the condo. Nice balcony, view to the pool, excellent for reading or chat. Bed was very confortable, slept well. Coco beach is near to other very nice beaches that we were able to visit by car, for example Playa Hermosa is a 10-15 minute drive. You can also visit other beaches on the Papagayo bay. It was a nice vacation, I came back completely relaxed.

6. Our trip to Playa de Coco was awesome. Our son has lived down there for 5 years so we decided it was time for us to visit him. We took his twin sister and her 2 children, 6 & 13, with us. The condo was perfect not only because it has 3 bedrooms but because our son lives in Pacifico. There is plenty to do in the area. We went zip lining on the Congo Tour. Another day took a boat ride on the river where we saw croc’s, iguanas, monkeys and all sorts of birds. There were hermit crabs running on the beach which delighted the kids. We loved hanging out at Pacifico Beach club where they treated us like royalty. There’s lots of fun shopping in town. We found good places to eat and the night life is great too. There were some minor problems with the condo but I sent an email to the management company and they had it taken care of right away. Just know the condo is on the 3rd floor and there isn’t an elevator so be ready to get in some “stair stepping”

Every once in a while unforeseen problems come up during the stay but we reassure our guests we take care of any requests as soon as we are notified. Pacifico Beach Club is a fantastic place to just spend your day at the beach and pool, relaxing and enjoying nice meals/snacks and drinks finishing he day with a glorious sunset.

Wife and I stayed for a month and loved it

My wife and I stayed for a month and loved it. The apartment was great. The facilities where the building was were great. We enjoyed the club. Absolutely satisfied. The apartment was as advertised. It was actually much, much bigger than we thought it would be. It was very clean, although there were ants in the kitchen when we arrived. We bough bug spay, prayed once and never saw them again. The facilities were immaculate. The whole building, apartment and grounds looked like it was given a manicure every day. The manager was very responsive to email and flexible. The one note that we had is that there is a shuttle service from the apartments to the club. It would be great if they offered it on call instead of 4 times a day. This would be especially handy for when you're leaving and you have had a few drinks. After we had been there a while we did find a private taxi that would take us from and to for about $2. I would recommend this apartment or complex to a friend or family member that wanted to visit this part of the world. For food, the pizza place was our favorite. The club is really good as well. We went to Suely's. It was a bit more expensive, but really good. We went back, but they had sub-let to a local and the food went from French to Fried. The real chef will be back in a couple of months. Papagayo is right on the main strip. We went there several times and enjoyed it. We were a bit put off the last time we went because we clearly asked for the smaller portions but they brought us the larger portions (and charged accordingly). They also tried to trick us into thinking that Yellow Tuna was rare (it is the most common and cheap fish in the area, so we ordered the sea bass which I prefer). For activities - our favorite was a 3 day trip to Nicaragua. It is easy to take the bus to Liberia and then a Tica bus to Granada. We also did a trip to Arenal and went to the Baldi hot springs.

Owner response:I will insist on having the shuttle available for guests on call instead of fixed times, as this would be a very useful service for owners and residents, but more importantly for guests who are spending a short time in the area.

A week in January 2010

We had seven people in this very nice three bedroom condo for a week. The living space is generous and the porch outside plenty large. The complex has several pools, nice views of the hills, and is well maintained. The beach club is also very comfortable with plenty of cushioned and shaded seating, a nice gym and two small pools. The location at the far end of the beach means it's a very long walk but between either your own car or the free shuttle, not far at all. Plus the location means the beach is not overpopulated at all. The condo has all that is needed for cooking in-house and there are two grocery stores close by with both Tico and North American foods. With plenty of towels, washing machine/dryer, games and the shuttle, all you need to bring is your suit and a few clothes to enjoy your time at this excellent location.

Very spacious condo. The pictures do not do it justice. The condo is very well maintained and clean. There are two beautiful swimming pools. The owner is extremely kind and helpful. The staff at the Pacifico are wonderful. The private beach club is beautiful. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Very nice option in Costa Rica

We stayed on for 3 days at this condo and it was pretty great. It's a beautiful complex with lovely grounds, well situated in town near some casual restaurants and a grocery store if you prefer to stock up and cook in. We went in late November and had very cooperative weather. The condo itself is very large and clean with simple decor-- 3 bedrooms make it great for families or groups of friends. Note it is 3rd floor with no elevator so consider this if stairs are a problem for you. Unfortunately, the pool immediately adjacent was closed for maintenance so we were not able to enjoy it. However, the single best aspect of this rental was the use of the beach club. This was FANTASTIC. Beautiful amenities, right on the beach (we took the ocean kayaks out several times) and an extremely friendly staff made our day at the beach one of the best ever. The beach club is a significant walk from the condo (about 20 minutes or so) but alternative transport if available if you're not feeling the walk. Overall, a great lodging option with some special perks. Booking and payment were all done with ease over email. Recommended.

Owner response:I agree that having the pool closed for a few days is disappointing.The pool was closed due to maintenance and Pacifico Resort management tried to accommodate the guests that were at the Resort during those days by not charging the usual service fee at the club. I hope that was somewhat compensating to our guests.

We stayed at Veronica's condo from 3 December 2008 thru 10 December 2008; everything was just as the website advertised. Lovelykitchen with granite countertops and spacious dining and living room, then beyond a beautiful, big lanai overlooking the pool. The bedrooms are spacious, everything was clean and new. With three bedrooms the place seemed spacious and comfortable. Loved the ipod player- -we used it during our whole stay.

Great pool, fantastic beaches and shopping. The condo is brand new, and very comfortable. Dining and supermarket right there. The country club is a few blocks from the condo and has great food and is very private, where you can choose pool and/or beach. The kids had a great time as well.

Superb Quality, An unforgettable experience!

We had such an incredible time, we spend the entire Easter week and we couldn't get enough, this place is luxurious, very spacious, and, I think the pictures don't do it enough justice, we loved it!!! and anyone who would visit after us will like it too, I fully guarantee it, the condo is fully equipped with top of the line appliances and even a 50' Plasma! (my favorite... any guy will know what I mean!:) The condo is on the top floor and you get incredible views of the mountains and some of the nicest sunsets (the nicest sunsets are at the Beach Club). One of the reasons why we had such a nice time, it's the people we dealt with, the owners, Veronica, the Manager is a class act, super cooperative and very much on top of everything, super a pleasure doing business with people like Veronica. The best part of our days was driving down to the beach club, the staff there is well trained and they are very complacent and helpful, 9 out of 10 times you get what you want, even if they don't have it on the menu, service is top notch. I would recommend this place to anybody who is looking to spend some very nice vacations in a 5 star place, without paying the $400/person rate you're getting billed in most Hotels in Guanacaste, and I mean the Hotels that can really compete with Pacifico's quality, we didn't experience any issues whatsoever, and the main reason why my review is so positive is very personal.... this is the place we're my girlfriend and I got engaged. Talk about an unforgettable experience...
