At Whitworth Cove you can entrance yourself in nature with our 187 acre estate and Custom Lake Cottage. Our property is unique from other Lake cottages, in that you have privacy and flexibility of large property to enjoy. The cottage is close to the Interstate and the town of Lavonia. The cottage offers custom features such as Marble and tile baths, Jucuzzi tub and double patio. The kitchen offers hardwood floors, granite tops, and stainless appliances. The full kitchen is equipped with microwave, dishwasher, oven, fridge, utensils & spices. The Cottage has Linens, towels, TV, & DVD all included. New Washer & Dryer, BRAND NEW air conditioning & heat. All we need is you!!

At Whitworth Cove enjoy long walks on our walking trails or bring your ATV and explore the property. Bring friends and enjoy campfires and camping. Hunting is allowed for game that is in season and with appropriate license. Property is close to marina, state parks, and restaurants. The area is filled with golfing, public lake beaches, and other sight seeing activities. Let your imagination be your guide with unique but charming Lake property.
Church Groups and large functions welcome, pricing may vary for these events.

The lower Great room has pool table, poker table , TV, books & magazines and couches and chairs. This room also has a Kitchenette with sink, fridge, and Microwave. There is a 32" TV and can seats 20, percfect for watching the BIG game. Also this room features ground level access with no steps, a half bath and bedding. This is perfect those who require hadicap or limited access to cottage. Grill out with our new grill, and sip drinks on the large stone patio. Property does front Lake Hartwell but lake levels will determine dock ability at property. Public boat ramp just .6 (1/2 mile) mile from property.

Pets are always welcome with prior approval.You can even bring your horses !!

Our area is not crowded so get ready for a most memorable time.

~Just 7 miles to Tugaloo State Park, which offers scenic picnic areas, nature trails, tennis, volleyball, well equipped playground for kids, public swim beach with bath house and concession stand, miniature golf, canoe rentals, plus frequent nature and mountain music programs. Several miles of road inside the park are great for bicycling. GumLog Barbecue is nearby. Shoal Creek Music Park and Shoal Creek Golf Center are only short drive.
~Toccoa Falls: This awe-inspiring waterfall, 19 feet higher than Niagara, is located on the campus of Toccoa Falls College. A winding stream flows through the lower portion of the 1100-acre, wooded campus from the base of the 186 foot high falls. It is a popular campus retreat and tourist attraction. Open from 9 a.m. to sundown year round.

  • This property is beautiful and peaceful! We really enjoyed ourselves. My little gal Jasmine didn't want to leave and asked if we could live there! We enjoyed riding the trails with the 4 wheeler! We enjoyed the quiet nights with a fire while listening to music! I would tell anyone that wants to be close enough to the lake and have a relaxing night to stay here. We are going back very soon!!!!!!! Can't wait!

  • The house was wonderful. Very spacious and clean. Great property, beautiful views and lots of wild animal sightings (deer, turkey, rabbits and a fox). My family enjoyed the peaceful setting of the home. We had a wonderful vacation here.

  • GREAT WIDE OPEN SPACES. MY HUSBAND AND I ENJOYED THE COUNTRYSIDE AND PEACE AND QUIET. THE HOUSE IS HUGE AND WOULD BE GREAT FOR YOUTH GROUP RETREATS OR LARGE FAMILIES. WE HAD FUN ON OUR ATV AND LOVED, LOVED THE UPSTAIRS PORCH. WE ENJOYED GRILLED HAMBURGERS WHILE WATCHING THE DEER STROLL DOWN TOWARD THE HOUSE. WE DIDN'T TRY IT, BUT HEARD THE GUMLOC BBQ WAS THE LOCAL RAVE. IT IS ALSO GREAT TO HAVE THE BOAT LANDING SO CLOSE TO THE PROPERTY.

  • We had a wonderful Thanksgiving 2008 at Whitworth Cove. Our children and friends met us there for a holiday gathering. We had 9 people sleep very comfortably for four nights. The dog loved running around freely on the property, too. Lack of water in Hartwell Lake didn't spoil our time.

  • We recetly used this property for our annual men's leadership seminar. We had twelve men and were accomodated very comfortably. The home was very clean and spacious. There is so much property to walk and enjoy. It is also very private. We had a great time. This is a great place for any type of get away. I plan to take my family there very soon. Thanks Mike.   • What a great place for a holiday! My wife and I, with our three boys--ages 9, 13, and 19, spent a memorable Christmas at this incredible home. The house and property were the perfect spot for the boys to explore, play pool, and hang out while we got ready for our first family Christmas away from home. It had an excellent location…close enough to shopping and restaurants all tucked into beautiful rolling hills of northern Georgia. All five of my family give it a 10. We hope to return next year.

  • What a beautiful home! We spent a week at 4th of July here & had such a wonderful time exploring the property. We took our 4 wheelers and rode the trails for hours! The home it's self is absolutely gorgeous. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us plus room for our company. The game room downstairs was a godsend! The kids were able to keep themselves occupied while the adults relaxed upstairs on the porch. The pictures in this ad truly do not do the place justice. A wonderful place to stay if you are looking forward to getting away from it all. Thanks again!
