The pictures do not do it justice. The condo is so well equipt with everything you could need or want. Had a wonderful 3 week stay and enjoyed every minute. We will be back. We enjoyed the 15 minute walk to town in the evenings and taking the Gwa Gwa is always entertaining and cheap. Thanks for making our vacation exceptional!

This place was absolutely, amazing. I travel about every four year. Until now I have not been to a place I would return until Now! I am already planning my return with my family. I love the Dominican. Meeting the people from here was truly an adventure on itself. Seeing how the locals, live, cook and entertain was an experience I will never forget. The condo had everything you could want. A home away from home.

We stayed at this property from 12/19 thru 12/28/10. This is a very nice unit and The Victorian condo complex is definitely an attractive one. It's obvious the management feels it extremely important that everything be maintained to the highest standards. It is a secure, gated residence and we appreciated the friendliness of the gatekeeper and the grounds staff. The town is within walking distance where we spent more than our fair share of time and money in Janet's Supermarket. It has almost everything you would want. We really preferred it over driving the distance (and the hassle of the traffic) to shop at some of the other markets. The weather was awesome with high 70s - low 80s. It never rained the entire time except the morning we left. Now, to be fair, we must mention the flip side of our experience. Although there was a very small computer screen for TV viewing, the large flat screen TV in the bedroom was out for repair and never came back. We had to sit at the kitchen table in order to view the screen and could not relax on the sofa. The washing machine was not in use because the water pump was broken and it stayed that way. Fortunately, we brought enough clean clothes that it was not a hardship. The refrigerator decided to join in and have a tantrum with water coming out from underneath. However, the manager, Kevin, was able to resolve this problem in short order. The beach in front of the condos was constantly full of trash pouring in from the ocean which made it less than desirable to walk or sit on. It was especially bad during windy days which churned up the ocean surf and it deposited some sizeable logs, tree limbs, boards and general debris. It was impossible to walk due to getting hit with hidden objects in the water. We were disappointed that no one even made an attempt to clean it up as it could be a beautiful beach to enjoy. We found the condo managers, Kevin and Francine, to be very friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to visit. They even purchased a camera memory card for us when we forgot to bring one! Don't know if our travels will take us back to Dominican Republic but if they do, we'll try to book this unit again and hope all is in good working order. Happy and healthy 2011 New Year!

Owner response:We had just been to our condo a couple weeks before this renter arrived. We hired someone to repair the big screen TV and the washer/ dryer (which is only 5 months old). I too am very disappointed it took more than 2 weeks to repair. It should not have taken that long for sure. The ocean is very high right now. With that some debris is picked up and redeposited. I had never seen the water level that high. People tell us it is extra ordinary and should be back to normal within the month.

I have just returned from one of the best, if not the best 21 day vacation I have spent in many many years. I could go into the details of the condo that the owner has described on her web page, but why?. There are no embellishments. They are exactly what is stated. In truth they exceeded my expectations. My stay was from 4 March to 25 March 2010. I am an 80 year old with a small disability. I was able to walk to Janets grocery store for my needs. (very reasonable prices. I took a motor concho to return to condo. (on the back of a small motor bike). Dont know who had more fun, the driver or myself.. Cost 50 pesos. I must speak of the staff at the Victorian complex, i.e. security, cleaning ladies, maintenance, and on site manager. Not once did I hear any bickering. The only thing I did hear and see, were very happy people and what I heard was much laughter. The on site manager (joceline) ruled with an iron fist and a soft voice. I shall return to the Victorian next year but I hope for 2 or 3 months. I will and have recommended this location to my mates

I spent a week at this wonderful place in November/09. It exceeded expectations with the great condo, beautiful pool with beach and clear, clean ocean directly in front of the condo. I walked for miles on the clean soft sandy beach and felt completely safe. A most beautiful part of the Dominican Republic.

My Wife and I spent the week of Nov 31 to Dec 6. The accomodations were excellent. The condo is located close to all stores and resturants but just far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. The pool and beach are both great and only steps from the Ocean view patio. I felt safe and relaxed during my stay and would not hesitate to return to this condo. *****

We had the pleasure of staying here for two wonderful weeks in April 2009. The freedom you get by staying off the resorts is unbelievable! The condo had everything one could need and it was decorated to perfection. It made you feel comfortable and relaxed. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, from the on-site management to the security guards to the locals in town and moto drivers (bike taxis). I would highly recommend this place and we have already booked for next year again at in the same unit. Thank you for having us use your beautiful home away from home.

We arrived at the Victorian on 3/6/09 and departed on 3/16/09. The location is absolutely perfect. So close to downtown Cabarete, 10-15 minute walk. Janet's grocery store is about 5-7 minute walk from the Victorian. We enjoyed our breakfast daily on the back porch. Paul grilled out using the gas grill. We watched couple of movies at the end of a long day from the comfort of the large bed...it was great...we felt very safe with the security guards, one in front and the other on the beach by the pool. Grounds are beautiful, pool and beach are great way to sit and relax by after long day on Kite Beach learning to kite surf. We loved the location as it allowed us the opportunity to have a nice walk each day. Decorations inside made it feel so peaceful. We had a very restful vacation. Enjoy!!!

I arrived here to this apartment at 18 of september and i will leave at 18 of march.The condom is beatifully decorated and completly furnished with beautiful ocean view with pool,jacuzi,electricity,gaz,high speed internet and there are people who clean your apartment all the days free(included in the price) all you have to do here is have fun,Cabarete is a nice village with discotques,good restaurantes,golf,etc.I have had very good time here,i´ll never forget my hollydays here.

My Husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks June 1-15 2008. This is our 2nd trip to the Dominican and we really enjoyed this condo. it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. the staff was very friendly and we loved the view of the pool and beach. We could also walk next door to eat at their resort and use their internet. I would recomend this condo for a quiet retreat get a way or rent a motorcycle and see the sights nearby. We were lucky enough to stay in this unit over Christmas this year and would highly recommend it! The suite is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and has everything you need for a great sun-filled holiday! The location is scenic walk from Cabarete which ensures its quiet, relaxing and private. The building was so nice we spent lots of time poolside or just enjoying drinks on the patio- a truly luxurious and relaxing holiday!
