THE BEST VALUE ON THE ISLAND!!
Talk directly with us, the owners. We are not a management company working for the owners and getting a commission. You literally save $$$$ when renting directly from us. Whether it be for a 2 night stay or a 2 month stay, we want you to enjoy our condo, all its amenities and the 'Old Florida' lifestyle that Cedar Key and its surrounding areas have to offer.
Did you know that Cedar Key is the #2 producer of farm raised clams in the U.S.?
So... Kick Back, Relax and Have a CLAM GOOD TIME!!
Step back in time to a place with no traffic lights; no fast food; no big box stores or malls.
Park your vehicle after your trip to Cedar Key and forget about it until you go home. Everything in this 'Old Florida' style fishing village is within walking, bicycling or a golf cart ride away. That's right--Golf Carts almost outnumber the amount of cars riding around the Island.
On the Island, enjoy the 2 Museums; City Park, Playground and Beach; Shopping; Gulf Front Dining and Fishing off the BIG Dock.
Being on the west side of the island, our condo allows you to see THE BEST SUNSETS ON THE ISLAND in any season. Also off in the distance you will see small planes take-off and land from the local airport. Picture in your mind a plane landing at sunset from your private balcony and you will see why we have a picture of that in our unit. Awesome!
Our 2nd floor condo comprises the entire floor of the building so no one is directly next to you on either side and has a split bedroom/bathroom plan that allows for maximum privacy. 1 BR/BA on one side with double sinks and bath/tub combo and 1 BR/BA on the other with single sink and shower. Both open seperately to kitchen/dining and living area.
The kitchen is equipped with all FRIGIDAIRE appliances with refrigerator/ice maker; dishwasher and a smooth top range and above counter microwave. It is fully equipped with all utensils, plates, pots, pans, glasses, small appliances and any gadgets you could need. Full bar accessories on site.
Your private 30 ft balcony has a pub height table with 4 swivel chairs to enjoy your favorite beverage, snacks, appetizers and breakfasts or for dinner and the romantic sunsets. You can also watch the dolphins put on a show; clammers checking their crab traps; shellers picking up sand dollars at low tide. If that's not for you or the weather isn't cooperating you can always 'hang out' at the counter top height dining table and island in the kitchen. We recently chose to change to the counter top height table from the regular dining table height because it gives you more of a gulf view. We like that and hope you do too!
To get closer to the water, walk the 100 ft pier leading to the private boat dock and fish cleaning station. There is a 'sunset' bench on the pier for those special moments and photos. Our unit is close to the 30' x 20' oval shaped pool and 10' diameter in-ground spa overlooking the Gulf.
If you want adventure off the Island there are Manatee and Homosassa Spring State Parks; Kanapaha Botanical Gardens; Cedar Key Scrub Preserve; Ancient Shell Mound; Suwannee River and Steinhatchee all within an hour or less drive.
We're here to help your stay in Cedar Key become a memorable experience so that you will want to come back again and again. Give us a call to make that happen!
We hope you have a CLAM GOOD TIME!!

The condo is as good as advertised. The town is quiet. The Gulf is beautiful. We were particularly pleased with the layout that afforded privacy for each bedroom and convenience for the shared living area. The kitchen is nicely outfitted and even stocked with a few essentials for seasoning and coffee. You don't need to bring your own filters or salt and pepper etc. This is good to know when you're packing for a week's stay. Also you need to bring a hair dryer. You should know that the town doesn't have a great grocery but it does have boat and golf cart rentals. As I mentioned, it's quiet--which is exactly what we wanted. Wifi worked well enough to stream Netflix, but bring a print out of Earl's email containing instructions for accessing the LAN and the pool gate since these directions aren't on paper at the condo. Earl was eager to keep us happy and he phoned to see that we'd settled in well. We saw dolphins right off the dock and golden eagle and nesting osprey when we were on a walk over to the airport. Kona Joes was good for lunch. We recommend Clam Good Time with no reservations.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

Thank you Earl and Meredith for sharing your condo with us for the weekend! Having never been to Cedar Key, we chose it as a meeting spot to meet our son, who attends FSU, for the weekend to just get away for a few days and visit. The condo was great! Such a beautiful view of the water, and gorgeous sunsets. We really enjoyed just relaxing, biking, sitting by the pool, fishing off the dock, and eating! Thank you again, we will surely look you up next time we venture back to Cedar Key!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This was the second time booking through VRBO although the first time in this condo, and our first trip to Cedar Key. We wanted our 2-night stay to be a relaxing time in "old Florida" style, and that was easily accomplished. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. Even though it was only two of us, it was nice to have "his and her" bathrooms. Wi-fi access was great too. Enjoyable to watch the beautiful sunrises and sunsets out on the deck ... in fact, the view of the pier is my new screensaver! The town itself was pretty quiet this time of year. Enjoyed dinner at Tony's -- the clam chowder was wonderful ... just as advertised ... as was the Bananas Foster. Also had a great breakfast at Ken's Cedar Keyside Diner out on the Wharf area ... Kona Joe's was good for lunch. Friendly staff at all 3 establishments. Some of the shops on 2nd St. weren't open, but we happily browsed through a couple of artist stores (bought a fun piece of pottery) and also enjoyed looking for a treasure at the consignment shop next to Tony's (found one too!). The shops out on the Wharf area were typical touristy places. Dilly Dally Gally was unique though. Back to the condo: Website pictures of the inside and outside are accurate; Good communication with the owner to book the date, easy access to the condo on day of arrival and prompt refund of the deposit. We would recommend this condo if Cedar Key is your destination.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+.

The condo was great - spotless, comfortable, & relaxing. A nice get away to relax & rejuvenate your soul. The rain & the tide table prevented my husband from getting in all the fishing in that he had planned - but the rainbows were spectacular and the night sky was amazing. We even saw the Milky Way! It had been 15 years since we had been to Cedar Key & the town had lost some of it charm as a lot of the shops were empty or not open. Chiefland had nice junk & antiques shops & we enjoyed visiting with Cedar Key Pottery. The Swaunee River is nearby & beautiful with a nice restaurant. All in all a great week. We highly recommend renting this unit - easiest transaction we have ever done. Owners helpful & professional.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

I stayed at Clam Good Time in July and was very impressed. This was the first time I ever rented a condo over the internet, so I was nervous. But the reservations and instructions for entry were easy. The condo is beautiful, clean, fresh clean linens and new towels. The view of the gulf and the spacious porch were superb. The pool and spa are the best on the Island, right on the gulf. I am definately coming back!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+.

My wife and I(31 and 25) spent three nights in the Clam Good Time condo for our 3 year anniversary. I can not say enought about the condo. It is very spacious, excellently stocked and decorated. More than enough room for 2 families. The pool was very refreshing and well maintained, they even have a community gas grill next to the pool. The dock was very enjoyable and spent hours fishing, mostly catching catfish. The condo is a bit of a walk to dock street, but a very nice scenic route. We fished from the public pier as well and caught a variety of fish, including a HUGE black drum. Be aware that most of the restaurants and bars close early. Over all an excellent little get away and we are already planning a trip back, hopefully in August.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We and our friends enjoyed a Great 2 day stay at this condo. It was clean, well suited for 2 couples, and conveniently located. The condo was comfortable, clean, and very well equipped. We especially enjoyed the balcony for afternoons, watching the beautiful sunsets. We found several local shops to explore, lunch at the beach, and dinner at 2 different local restrurants---both very good, and reasonable. The local museum was a hidden "treasure" , and very informative and interesting. We would definately recommend this place to anyone interested in Cedar Key for a relaxing, get-away------"Old Florida" getaway.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

My husband, I, my 15 year old son and his best friend had a great time at the condo in Cedar Key. We enjoyed the Gulf view, the pool, the hot tub and the town. To acclimate ourselfves to the town, the first evening we went on a sunset, historical boat tour of Cedar Key. Great fun with beautiful marine birds, lighthouse information and history of the town. We enjoyed renting a pontoon boat from "The Treasure Camp" and taking the Suwannee River down to the Gulf. We saw wild turkeys, a manatee in the river and a few alligators. Don't forget to eat on the river at "The Treasure Camp" restaurant. We tried alligator bites and loved them! The boys favorite day trip was to the Homossas Wildlife State Park. It takes three hours to go through the park and participate in the programs. We saw and learned about flamingoes, manatees, hippos, alligators, rhinos, cougars, roseate spoon bills, parrots, etc. Each night we tried a different seafood restaurant. Tony's Clam Chowder exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed all the restaurants! The condo is beautifully maintained and if your family enjoys nature, they will have a wonderful time!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
