My husband, I, my 15 year old son and his best friend had a great time at the condo in Cedar Key. We enjoyed the Gulf view, the pool, the hot tub and the town. To acclimate ourselfves to the town, the first evening we went on a sunset, historical boat tour of Cedar Key. Great fun with beautiful marine birds, lighthouse information and history of the town. We enjoyed renting a pontoon boat from "The Treasure Camp" and taking the Suwannee River down to the Gulf. We saw wild turkeys, a manatee in the river and a few alligators. Don't forget to eat on the river at "The Treasure Camp" restaurant. We tried alligator bites and loved them! The boys favorite day trip was to the Homossas Wildlife State Park. It takes three hours to go through the park and participate in the programs. We saw and learned about flamingoes, manatees, hippos, alligators, rhinos, cougars, roseate spoon bills, parrots, etc. Each night we tried a different seafood restaurant. Tony's Clam Chowder exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed all the restaurants! The condo is beautifully maintained and if your family enjoys nature, they will have a wonderful time!

Great Coastal Get-Away

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Clam Good Time Condo on our Jan 2012 visit to Cedar Key. The condo was immaculate & had all amenities to include washer and dryer, microwave, etc. It was a perfect setup for 2 couples with each bedroom having a private bath. We loved the décor especially the high dinner table and chairs to enhance the view from the balcony window. The large balcony also had a high table and chairs to accommodate the outdoor viewing of the magnificent sunsets and sunrises. We saw all types of water birds, ospreys and dolphins from the balcony. It was interesting to watch the airboats every morning as they went out to harvest the clams. The condo is located centrally to all the local attractions and restaurants in Cedar Key. It is also just a short drive to the Lower Suwannee Wildlife Refuge hiking/birding trails along with fishing and kayaking.

Having never been to Florida my Aunt & Uncle said, "If you're looking to get away from it all and just get some R & R this is the village for you. After hours of searching for the perfect place to stay I found "Clam Good Time". And all I can say is what a find! The condo is exact to pictures, it was clean, the people there were friendly and th town itself is amazing. Nothing really special to do there except fish and relax, but it worked for us, in fact we wished we had made longer reservations! The owners were very helpful and very professional, I hav had several bad experiences with going with a "owner" rental prior to this but all I can say is do not hesitate! This is the perfect place for a vacation, whether just for a couple of days or a week or so, we will be back! The condo had everything we needed and then some1 And we will never forget the sunsets on the back deck...amazing! thank you so very much for making our vacation so perfect! I returned to work today and everyone said I looked great and rested! Need I say more! Cedar Key is worth the drive, it's like the town that time forgot, soomewhere you can go and forget your troubles, just relax and take in the views! Ahhhh....until we meet again, thank you!

My wife and I had visited Cedar Key 10 years ago and had enjoyed it. We had always promised ourselves that we would go back one day and this October we booked for 5 nights at "Clam Good Time". We thought the apartment and its furnishings were delightful and would happily return another year. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and even caught sizeable fish including a Black Drum which weighed between 20 and 30 pounds! We very much enjoyed the peace and quiet of "Old Florida". We had no negative comments to make but one thing that would have improved our stay would have been the provision of pool towels. (You don't need the weight in the bags when you're flying!)

Fantastic weekend - a special place to get away We found ourselves in a great little condo with a fantastic view.. Perfect little pool and hot tub at waters edge... Grill at poolside worked out great.... we spent our days lounging in the pool, bird watching, boating(take the historic tour of nearby islands...captain was excellent...the history of this community is amazing), and a afternoon trip to Manatee Springs...no manatees but absolutely beautiful water The downtown dock area was great for afternoon stroll, a bite to eat and a late evening ice cream while watching the sun set There is a small market for groceries but you may want to stop in Chiefland before you make your way to Cedar Key. The condo manager was terrific and helpful in suggesting items of interest. We picked the perfect time, in between seasons, entire complex was so peaceful Look forward to returning...

Relaxing, peaceful, and friendly describes both the condo and Cedar Key in general. You can hang out in the beautiful condo without feeling isolated - just watching folks on the dock or chasing the crabs when the tide is down is fun. Robert caught a crab bigger than the one we had at Tony's Seafood, where the chowder is so smooth ... It's like staying at a friend's house - the photos were taken from the balcony & duplicate the view exactly. Stay here - it will stay with you.

Husband and I are regular vacationers in Cedar Key and have been for years. First time we've stayed in "Clam Good Time" condo. It was great. Extremely clean and well supplied including ice cold beer mugs in the freezer. View from the porch is awesome. Great sunsets. Owner is very pleasant and nice to deal with. We'll be back!

Lovely Setting

The condo was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, and other kitchen necessities and utensils, so steaming the clams and having a clam good time eating them was easy! Since Cedar Key is relatively small, you can walk to the main business area in ten minutes. All in all, this is a wonderful place, and we would like to return in the future.

Perfect for Family that likes to get away

Our family likes to get away from the busy, craziness of life and this is the perfect place to do exactly that! Real plus to be able to bring my boat, although have to watch out for low tide (almost missed checkout time because of it!). Great kitchen, view, small beach to hang out, and great seafood in the area. We used the grill two nights. My wife, two adolescent daughters and myself had a great time! We will be back!!

Dolphins from the Balcony

A perfect Condominium for a taste of real Florida. Good value. All our needs for a great week away were met. The condo is approximately 1000sqft but the star of this VRBO is the great balcony with views across the bay and fabulous sunsets. Easy walk into the center of Cedar Key for a variety of restaurants. However, not to be missed is Tony's clam chowder at Tony's Seafood restaurant on the main street, truly the world's best chowder.

Every once in a while, we need a break from retirement...and this condo is perfect. Fitted out with every gadget for the kitchen you might possibly need, it even came with frosted beer mugs set up in the freezer. We had a wonderful time relaxing on the deck, fishing off the floating dock and dining around town. Thanks for the opportunity to enjoy Cedar Key in a very clean, comfortable condo.

We spent a wonderful weekend here and just got lucky with the full moon. If you are planning a trip to paradise, check out the moon cycle too. It really is hard to pack up and go back to non-paradise. Make sure you watch the DVD they have there called History of Cedar Key. And rent a golf cart and explore the island. This is really a great condo. Everything we needed was here. The place is spotless. The view was fantastic. We had such a good time. We went fishing, swam in the pool, and ate at some great seafood restaurants. Hopefully, we can make it again next year. The condo was designed perfectly for 2 couples.

We had a very relaxing week in Cedar Key with our neighbors. The condo was well equipped, clean and very pleasant. My husband caught several skates and small fish from the pier, but no keepers. We walked everywhere and ate in several restaurants. For the best chowder, bourbon pecan shrimp and especially Key Lime Pie you have to visit the Old Fish House Cafe. Tony's had good chowder if you like it spicy. It's you're going for a week I would recommend stocking up on groceries in Chiefland. The market in Cedar Key has the basics...best value is the wine.

Utmost in peace, and you can't get any closer to the water or a better view. We appreciated how clean and well-appointed it was, & close enough to walk everywhere yet far enough from town center to feel "away."

My husband & myself and another couple stayed at this condo for 6 nights at the end of January. The condo was very well appointed & we absolutely loved the view. The northern gulf side of Florida is very much more relaxed and we were thoroughly rested by the time we left.This complex that our unit is in has a great barbecue area & a heated pool.The only negative comment we had was that the hot tub could have been a bit warmer.Golfing visitors should check out the Chiefland Golf & Country club-only 20 minutes away & great value.The people there are outstanding! There is lots to see in the area for day trips. We will be back in the future for sure!

We stayed at this wonderful property four days around Thanksgiving and had one of the best vacations ever!! This property is very very clean and stocked with everything you would ever need. We grilled shrimp on the gas grill several nights while watching the amazing sunset. If you want to see amazing sunrises & sunsets and get away from it all I would highly recommend this property!! My husband and I stayed at Clam Good Time the last week of Sept 2010. The unit was great, clean and had everything we needed. I used my laptop fom the unit via their wireless connection everyday. It was the perfect little trip for us -very quiet and we spent a lot of time on the balcony and afternoons by the pool. We purchased 100 clams in town for $20.00 and made two meals out of that. The town of Cedar Key offers just the right mix of shops, restaurants and entertainment. All the food we had in town was very good. This unit would be perfect for 2 couples . I got some superb photos while staying.

We stayed here for two nights. It was perfect. We have stayed in Cedar Key before, but this is definately the way to go. The fish-cleaning station on the dock was wonderful. We watched a man catch a 40" redfish off of the dock, and we went after a huge black drum from the dock and shore. Amazing! The place was well stocked and clean. The pool was fantastic, our kids loved it. We got some great pictures of the sunsets. This is a vacation that will live in our hearts forever. Even after we got home, our kids kept saying, "We wish we were in Cedar Key." We will be back!

Very nice condo in a wonderful place. We stayed for 3 nights after a Disney trip and wished we had just went here the whole time. Cedar Key is a great place. Wonderful dining, great fishing, and friendly people. Already planning another trip for the summer. The condo is well stocked with cookware and anything else you could ask for for a great vacation.
