Hale Kamaole is a lovely complex with 2 and 3 story buildings overlooking a large grassy area with tropical landscaping. Parking is on the outer perimeter of the complex. Our condo is well located on the ground floor with the grass area immediately outside the sliding door. From the condo, there are views of the ocean and Lanai Island to the west and of Mt Haleakala to the east. Kamaole beach #3 is a 3 minute walk across S. Kihei Road and a park and there are walks from the beach, north to the other two Kamaole beaches or to the south to Wailea and Polo beaches.
Our unit is constantly updated and is well equipped; the kitchen has refrigerator, dishwasher, range, microwave, blender, toaster, coffeemaker etc; there is a closet with a washer and dryer, 2 TVs, DVD player, DVD/VCR, and CD player, there is also free High Speed internet connection. In the lanai closet there are beach chairs, boogie boards and other "beach toys" which can be used (at your own risk of course). The complex has 2 swimming pools, a tennis court which is free for guests, 2 BBQ areas and ample off street parking. In the bedroom closet there is a safe installed for your valuables (also at your own risk).
Kihei is in the sunniest part of Maui and has one of the best stretches of beaches in all of the islands. Hale Kamaole is about a 30 minute drive from Kahului airport and is located at the southern end of Kihei with the Wailea and Makena resort areas starting half a mile to the south.
Shopping of all kinds is within easy reach, with many shops within walking distance. The Island of Maui offers a wide range of activities including whale watching in the December/March period, excellent snorkeling year round, boogie boarding, surfing, many excellent golf courses, the enormous volcanic crater of Haleakala which is a national park and all the usual tropical island entertainments. It is an ideal place for a relaxing vacation and a popular venue for weddings and other family celebrations.

We recently stayed at this beautifully set up and very well equipped condo. Even after reading the reviews, we were surprised at how well equipped this condo is. Centrally located to every place you would want to go in Kihei/Wailea..great scenery to your left of ocean, to your right, the mtns. Lovely lanai, quiet setting, within steps of pool, barbecue grill, ocean. Inside all the comforts of home. Kitchen has everything you need, pots, pans, dishes..you only have to buy the food you will need. The condo complex itself is clean, very well maintained. The rules of the condo...quiet at night from 10pm-8am. Met really friendly people there. Owners did not cut corners on this condo...everything is well maintained and up to date. We felt like we got a steal of a deal. Great experience...if we ever go back, we will definitely want to stay in this condo!

We had the great pleasure of staying in this outstanding condo at Hale Kamaole for two weeks in early December. The unit is perfectly outfitted with every convenience of home. We relished our time in the kitchen and around the BBQ - and had no desire to leave our home for a "dining out" experience. The patio setting is magical - the pool is beautifully located so that a quick dip after sunset was simple! Yes, I would dearly love to return to this condo anytime and it gives me great pleasure to recommend it to future guests.

On this, our 7th holiday in Maui, we stayed in this lovely condo from August 9th –28th. Although not our first time at Hale Kamole, it was our first time in this condo. We thoroughly enjoyed the view of the barbecue area, swimming pool and ocean all from the sunny lanai. And although the condo is very convenient for walking across South Kihei Road to Kamaole Beach #3, the condo is also far enough away from the traffic noise of the road. Kamaole Beach is great for swimming, snorkeling and boogie boarding. We enjoyed our morning walks from Kam 3 to Kam 1 or to Keawakapu beach. The condo is clean, nicely updated, with tiled floors in both the condo and the lanai, a very comfortable King sized bed and well organized with everything you might need on holiday, including boogie boards and chairs for the beach. Thanks for a great vacation.

We stayed in this condo from May 3 - 10 after spending our first week at a hotel in Kaanapali and have to say that next time we'd skip the hotel and just stay here. The condo is big, sparkling clean and so well equipped with everything we needed for our vacation. My son (14) loved the beach and used the boogie board that was there all the time. We could also see him at the pool from the condo and loved sitting on the lanai at sunset watching the sun go down over the ocean. The beaches in Kihei were beautiful and only a couple of minutes walk away, as were shops and restaurants. It was paradise. I think this must be one of the nicest units in Hale Kamaole. Mahalo for a wonderful stay.

What a wonderful stay! This condo is so nicely renovated and decorated, has a beautiful view from the lanai, and perfectly situated for the pool and beach. We also loved all of the chairs and equipment in the outside closet. Thank you David, we'll be back.
