Location: Treasure Cay, Abaco, Abaco Islands, Bahamas, Caribbean (Walk to everything!) View Map
Accommodations: House, 2 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 2 Baths (Sleeps 4)
Our house was just finished. Constructed by the top builder in Abaco, it is just over 1000 square feet with high, peaked ceilings. This is our dream, vacation house. However, like most people, we would not have been able to build it without "sharing" it with other people that love the Bahamas and places that are a little out of the way ... but so worth getting there.
Everyone you meet in the Abacos are down to earth people that love the environment there. If you simply love the hustle and bustle of Nassau or Freeport, by all means, skip Treasure Cay. If you'd rather explore a shore or ski town in the off season and feel like it's all yours, even for a day, you'll love it here.
We went to Abaco on vacation five years ago. Have not gone to any other place for vacation since. Each time we searched for the best place to settle. Treasure Cay is wonderful. Our two bedroom house is fifty feet from the water of the marina. Our view is unobstructed.
A three minute stroll along the water takes you to a restaurant/bar where you can swim in their pool all day long for the price of a soda ... not that they ever check though. If you prefer just hanging out, the beach at Treasure Cay is listed as one of National Geographic's top ten beaches in the world. It is approximately 3 miles long with beautiful, soft white sand. The water is warm and deep blue. It is a five minute walk from our house.
We love it. However, Treasure Cay is for people who want to "make" their own vacation. You can rent a boat from the place next to the pool ... remember, you're "on" the marina. There are many day trips that a novice boater can make.
Abaco is a boater's paradise and the boat rental places are used to going over the details of how to operate a boat for first-timers. The Sea Of Abaco is protected from the open ocean by a string of Cays (in the US, it would be Keys) You never have to go out into the open ocean. As I said, and do not exaggerate, it is a boater's paradise.
Ten years ago a stewardess told me about a vacation she went on where she stayed on an island and used a boat as their "car" to get everywhere. You start your day early, go as far as, and visit as many places as you desire, and then make it back by sunset. Nightlife is really ... during the day. It's not just a couple of hours in a club or restaurant. It's time on a boat. Lunch at an outdoor restaurant. Drinks at an outside bar on a different island. By the time you get home ... you don't need any nightlife.
It took me about six years to get there. I wrote down the name and never forgot it. Couldn't even afford it when we did go, but who can't justify a well earned vacation? Three years ago my wife and I, on our honeymoon, searched for the perfect place. Hopefully, you'll agree that we found it.
Any questions you have, I will be more than happy to answer.
A Treasure Cay rental you won't forget!

We are 2 couples just returning from the perfect place to vacation in Treasure Cay. The Marinaview Villa was so much nicer than we expected. The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. The location on the marina was convenient for boating, close walking distance to Coco Beach but just far enough for a feeling of privacy. Having been to Treasure Cay many times, we appreciate the friendliness of the locals and the relaxed atmosphere of the island. We hope to return many more times and positively vote for Marinaview Villa as our first choice as a vacation home. The owner 's helpfulness was A-1 from start the finish as was Patty, our island contact person. What a pleasure to deal with these people! Thanks for all you did to make this a great vacation.

We rented this lovely Villa for Christmas vacation in 2008. Two adults and two 16 yrs old girls. The house is the perfect. New, comfortable, very clean, located at the end of the Marina. The fact that there is a washer and dryer in the house was a great bonus. Villa is literally few steps from the grocery shops, cafe, restaurant, post office, library, emergency room,... Easy (5min) stroll to a beautiful beach. Great cinnamon rolls at nearby Florence's Cafe - they are big and delicious. Come early, they go fast. Treasure Cay is a very safe community and our girls had fun spending some time on their own. We enjoyed walking on the beach especially in the early morning looking for shells and sand dollars - which the beach has abundance of. We would eat lunch at Bahama Beach Club or Coco Beach Bar both located on the beach. All breakfasts and most dinners we prepared in the Villa, which has a fully equipped kitchen. We also ate at Spinnaker and on Thursday night we had pizza at Tipsy Seagull bar. Next time I would definitely book a boat trip to Elbow Cay - to visit Hope Town and to Man O War Cay - to visit the "Albury's" Canvas Shop". We didn't rent a golf cart and didn't even need one. We loved the walks - soooo relaxing. Clint - the owner of the Villa is a very nice guy, very accommodating and always quick to answer all your questions.

This is a great spot to chill and spend time with your family. We watched dolphins come in to the marina and splash around - beautiful.... short walk to the beach and all amenities. Grocery store has most things you’d need at home and the marina provides everything else. If you are looking for a piece of mind and a nice quiet spot- this is it…

We stayed for 2 weeks in this charming villa in November 2009. We were very pleased with the space, confort and cleanless of this charming home, We enjoyed the location so near the water and fishing on the peer. Everything was accurate to the description, and made this stay so relax. We would definitily recommend this rental and would come back. Nadine and Pierre from France

The Best Value/Quality/Location combination on Treasure Cay!

I first hesitated to write this review. Not for valid reasons, but because I selfishly worry that this villa will be rented out all the time and never be available for me! I've been going to Treasure Cay off and on for 10 years. Sometimes going 2 or 3 times a year, sometimes skipping a year or two. I've stayed at the hotel- downstairs in the smaller rooms and upstairs in the "condo" units. I've stayed in several of the condos surrounding the marina, and several of the condos and villas up and down the main road in Treasure Cay. This is simply the best place as far as quality/value/location in which I have stayed. The villa seems brand new. You could walk in and believe you are walking into a brand new, quality place in Miami. You enter into a great room/kitchen/dining room area that has a vaulted ceiling with exposed wood- the vaulted ceilings are carried through to both bedrooms. Each bedroom has a full bath attached. All the fixtures in the bathrooms are brand new and CLEAN! Water pressure/hot water supply is excellent- something that I've found to be lacking in a lot of the places in TC. All the appliances in the kitchen are stainless steel- I've never seen that in any other place in Treasure Cay. Washer and dryer-new. Tile work on the floors through out the home is high quality. The location for me is perfect. The Tipsy Pelican- the local bar/gathering place/pool is no more than a two minute walk. The Tipsy Pelican can be loud if you are staying in the hotel, but in the villa's case, the hotel works as a sound buffer so only a faint bit of the band makes it down to the villa- only heard if you are sitting on the sea wall- by the way, a great place to sit and watch the moon at night and the boats during the day. The shopping area is a two minute walk away. I always rent a golf cart at Cash's Carts, so getting groceries or going to "The Tipsy" is one minute away if you decide to drive. The Tiki Bar and beach entrance are situated together, at most, 3 minutes away by cart. Golf course is 2 to 3 minutes away- great course (bring lots of balls). If you are a golfer- get this: you pay one greens fee per day (another great reason to rent a cart from Cash's), and you can play AS MANY HOLES IN ONE DAY AS YOU CAN STAND! But I'm wandering; bottom line: This villa should rent for twice as much. The owner- Clint is a great guy to work with, the villa is close to everything, but far enough away to be private. It's where I'll go whenever I can!

This house was perfect for my husband, daughter and myself to get away somewhere quiet. You don't have to pack much because of the washer and dryer. The kitchen has everything you will need, the living room is very comfortable, nice satelite TV and DVD. The front porch is great to sit on and feel the breeze. We rented a golf cart, a must do, and went to every beach in the area. Rarely another person in site, and the water is just beautiful. I would stay in this house again!

This was our first trip to the Abaco's. We flew into Marsh Harbor and took a taxi to this great new house nestled in the midst of a marina resort. The harbor is at your front door. The amenities in the house are excellent. Everything is new, furniture, appliances, etc. You don't need a thing as everything is provided including all the china, utensils, etc. other than your groceries. Shopping is walking distance as is the world famous beach or the pool at the marina. The eating & drinking establishments are also close at-hand. You don't need to pack a lot of clothing because a new washer & dryer are in the house. No need to rent a car because you can get around in a rented golf cart & park it at your back door. This location is a steping stone to the other islands and to the 3rd largest snorkeling reef in the World. This place is close to everything you will need but yet is very quite and safe.
