Ocean's Reach was rebuilt with a long palm tree-lined road into the back of the complex. It has changed in that there are many gardens outside, pavers in the parking area, palm trees that are lighted making it a truly tropical resort. The pool has a new surface and tiles surrounding it. The walkways are tiled and decorated with flowers. The picnic area has gas grills, tiles and new tables. There are lights in the trees for your evening grilling to add ambiance to your evening. Added this year was a large pole with a platform for the osprey; it is located beside the garden in the back of the complex. The osprey has build a nest on top and we can view the building of this daily while walking out the door to the elevator and from the ground while walking to our cars.
Inside has also changed: kitchen in our unit has granite countertops, new maple cabinets and fully equipped; bring your lap top as wireless internet is here. The living room has a large 37" HD TV and the bedroom has a 32" installed on the wall this winter. The whole unit has new white large tiles as well as the lanai. The lanai has a padded lounge chair as well as padded chairs that can withstand the weather and there is new carpeting in the living with a palm trees motif. The beach in front is famous for shelling and resting, walking and swimming. From the lanai, you can see the three palm trees and sandy beach. It is directly on the beach.
There is the Ding Darling preserve on the Island. 1/3 of this Island is protected for the wild life. You can tour the Ding Darling on a bus or get a canoe at Tarpon Bay Marina and follow the many trails through the Ding Darling. Sanibel does not allow any building to go beyond 4 floors. It also restricts signs to a small size and it is intent on keeping this island beautiful. There are many great restaurants and shops on Sanibel. There is also local theatre. Enjoy the experience. Many people here for a week never want to leave the island -so great.
Sanibel offers awesome sunrises and sunsets. It is an East-West island, so watch the sunrise from your lanai and join the people on the beach who toast to the sunset and look for the "green flash" as they toast to sunset.
DISCOUNT PRICING. We discount from office prices and that rate will be reflected on the rates page. The office also discounts when the condo is booked late. (30% for the l week out, 20% for two weeks out and 10% for 3 weeks out).
The beach here on Sanibel is the Greatest attraction; people enjoy walking, shelling, and bike riding on the beach. The "Sanibel Stoop" is popular as we see the shellers bending over to pick up their latest finds. We use this condo yearly and update it often to keep it in top condition. There a new dining table, seats four in the area next to the kitchen. We hope you enjoy paradise. It begins here.

- Gas/Electric BBQ Grill: This Grove area has picnic tables, 4 gas grills, lighted at night with lights in the palm trees and artistically landscaped with large hibiscus flowers as well as many others. It is really a Grove.
- Lanai: Newly padded Chaise Lounge for you resting as well as newly padded dining set. The large white tiles and fresh green and white leafy pattern on the chairs add another comfortable room to the condo where you enjoy breakfast and lunch and resting time.

- There are wonderful boat tours that travel the inland water way to the island of Useppa and Cabbage Key. There are boat trips to Cayo Costa, Upper Captiva, and Pine Island. Dolphins follow the boats jumping out of the water. Ding Darling Preserve has open bus tours that are well narrated about the birds, alligators and tides in there. You can also do this by canoe--there are marked waterways to travel in a rented canoe. Take this from Tarpon Bay Marina.
