My wife Barbara and I have been vacationing on the beautiful island of Maui for over twenty years and have owned a home on
the Kaanapali Hillside since 2000. We have been dividing our time between Southern California and Maui since then. Our two
daughters have been lucky enough to have experienced “dual citizenship” between the mainland and the islands and have
developed into beautiful, well rounded women because of it.
After spending many years as a Senior Executive in the entertainment industry, we decided it was finally time to make
the move for good. We are thrilled to be calling Maui our home, and especially the beautiful Kaanapali area. I now sell the most desirable properties in the world - Maui Real Estate.
We closed on our beautiful condo at Honua Kai at the end of June 2010. We take great pride in this excellent property and make sure to greet all of our guests personally. We want you to enjoy our home as if it were your own and are available to help you with whatever needs you may have while on island.

Luxury Stay at the Honua Kai

I booked my parents to stay in this unit from Dec 8th to 18th, 2011 to celebrate their 45th Wedding Anniversary. The rest of the family (9 os us including 3 small children) stayed in another unit on the property. This allowed my parents to have a little "escape" from the activity of us kids and the grandchildren. The LOVED their stay in this one bedroom/den unit. It had everything they needed. A fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, tv's in the bedroom, den and living room and a huge lanai with an amazing view to have morning coffee on. They felt they were staying in a gorgeous luxurious little home away from home. They loved the mountain views and the large doors that opened up on the lanai. It was so easy to secure our booking of this unit as Barbabra and Walt responded to my emails so quickly. The property is gorgeous with 3 pools, many hot tubs, "Dukes" right near the pools to order lunch and drinks from (at a reasonable price I might add) and beautiful grounds. "Times Market" is nice and close so easy to walk over to pick up a few groceries. My parents would love to go back to the resort and we will be sure to book into this unit again!! Our family of five from Sydney (children aged 4, 6 and 8) had a fantastic week in Walt and Barb's condo. The children all slept in the Den room - they loved watching the tv in there at bed time - so the extra space worked very well for us. The condo has everything you need, the resort is great, the pools fantastic, Dukes superb and we loved our week on Maui. There is a supermarket right across the road so all very easy if you want to eat in. We booked from Sydney and Walt and Barb were always very quick to respond and we had no problem arranging payment etc. The condo looks as good as in the photos if not better. The lanai is great and we used it a lot. No ocean view but the outlook was very pleasant and private. Go and have a fab time! PS we also used Happy Kids Babysitting services a number of times and were very happy with the sitter.

What a beautiful place! We stayed there at Thanksgiving 2010. Barb and Walt met us at the lobby and showed us to the unit. The condo is as beautiful as it appears in the photos. Everything feels top of the line. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The lanai is fabulous. The den area was perfect for us; it allowed my 13 year old son to have his own space that was out of the way but not isolated. The location of Honua Kai is great. We walked to the supermarket for groceries, ate at the wonderful Duke's restaurant on the property and made two trips to our favorite carry-out place just 2 minutes away - Honokowai Okazuya Deli (fantastic food). Nice long beach walks begin right at the property and it is an easy drive into Kaanapali for sail and snorkel tours. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family and would love to stay there again!

We stayed in Walt & Barb's condo for 3 weeks in October 2010 for our first visit to Maui. It was a vacation beyond any expectations we had. Walt & Barb were fantastic to deal with (Walt even helped my husband bring up our groceries after our trip to Costco!) & they were a wealth of information. The condo was impecably clean & the room plus a den was perfect for our group of 5 people (2 kids, my husband, myself & my mother). The grounds surrounding the complex are beautiful & just what you would want in a Hawaiian vacation. The pools kept my two kids, 6 & 9, thoroughly entertained & when the beach was the preferred activity, it was just steps away. The grocery store behind the complex & across the street was so convenient for those last minute supper items. There is so much to do on Maui & this location is perfect for access to shopping, snorkeling, surfing, hiking & pretty much any activity you might want to experience. We have already recommended family members to stay with Walt & Barb for a trip next year & this is the only place we would stay when we return to Maui again. Aloha!

This condo was PERFECT for our RELAXING Maui vacation. The owners greeted us with the friendly Aloha spirit.The condo is only steps from the elevator making it very easy and fast in getting to the pools, beach, ocean, Dukes and the underground parking. The perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning sun,view stunning afternoon rainbows over the lush green Maui mountains and star gaze at night was from the condo's large lanai. The den with a third TV made it a plus with so much extra space. We will return to this unit with friends or family. We had a first class vacation! Thank You!

My family and I stayed in August 2010 for a week and had a wonderful time!! Walt and Barbara made us feel very welcome and were very easy to work with. There was plenty of room in the condo for my family of 5. My husband and I and my 3 kids ages 9, 6 and 5. They loved the fact that there were tvs in each room, not that they got to spend alot of time watching tv. The Unit is very nice as described in the pictures and equipped with everything you need. The pools were very nice and never too crowded which was nice because there were always chairs available. Snorkeling was awesome right in front of the condo. My husband and 9 yr. old saw a 3 ft. puffer fish and lime green trumphet fish. Mahola!! Wonderful vaction and definitely would like to return again!!

Our family chose the week of our birthdays (July 23rd- July 29th) to visit Maui for the first time. We wanted some privacy so we decided to stay in a condo. What a great choice it was. My family consist of myself, husband and our 11 year old son (we all celebrated our birthdays while there) and had a great time. Walt and Barb were very pleasant and went out of their way to make sure we felt at home while staying in their condo. The condo is beautiful and sufficiently stocked with everything you have and need in your own home and then some (kitchen utensils, beach chairs, towels, tourist literature, maps & guides, etc). Our stay at Honua Kai, unit #312, more than met our expectations. Needless to say, we will definitely be returning!! Mahalo

This was just perfect for our family stay on Maui. The condo was exactly like it was described only better, Walt and Barbara have stocked it with everything you can imagine; boogie boards, kitchen essentials and an excellent guide book. We stayed with our three young kids, 5,3 and 2 and there was plenty of space. The resort was beautiful, kids loved hanging out there when we weren't dragging them to Hana etc. Wonderful holiday, wonderful location, wonderful Condo. Mahalo! Walt and Barbara.

We stayed in this unit July 6-13 and it was fantastic. The unit is perfect, looks exactly like the photos, is brand new and conveniently located. The property overall is wonderful, three pools each with a slightly different personality with food/drink service provided by the on-site restaurant Dukes, and the beach just south of the resort had the best snorkeling of our whole trip, better than Black Rock (but don't leave ANYTHING valuable on the beach while you're in the water). The area is much less crowded than the resort areas to the south, which we really liked, so there was never a problem getting a lounger by the pool, but there were still enough people that both our kids (ages 14 and 9) made friends at the pool. The owners, Walt and Barbara are delightful and easy to work with, and had the condo stocked with all sorts of helpful stuff like a Maui guidebook and a few movies (which we didn't even discover until we were packing up to leave). There were plenty of towels so lack of maid service wasn't a problem, and the condo is stocked with every cooking utensil you can think of. Overall, a great place that I would highly recommend and hope to visit again!
