Enjoy the use of one hundred acres surrounding the lodge as you bike or hike the numerous trails in this prime quail, turkey, and deer habitat. Catch your limit of bream, bass and catfish or simply canoe across the eleven acre lake to check out the other shore. Try an old-fashioned game of horseshoes, a lively game of pool or simply sit on the screened porch and watch the sun go down—or come up—as you enjoy a setting of complete serenity.

Enjoy the comfort of this warm and welcoming lodge as you dine family style around a large harvest table and then sink into the leather chairs and enjoy a roaring fire in the stone fireplace on cool evenings. It has been the site of political rallies and was a beautiful site for a lakeside wedding reception in the spring.   • My sister's wedding was in Macon over the weekend. We happily stumbled on this jewel that was 35 minutes away from downtown Macon. Have two young children ourselves, parents, siblings and Aunts and Uncles, this place looked like the perfect alternative to multiple hotel rooms. We were not disappointed in the slightest. It has been years since I have been anywhere that I could sit outside for hours literally without hearing a single plane or vehicle. Though a little difficult to find, once you find it you enter a 2600 acre enclave of wildlife, trails and a beautiful lake. The house is perfectly situated overlooking the 11 acre lake, wonderfully enjoyed in our favorite place, the screened in back porch. The main floor had 4 bedrooms, a large living room/dining room and a kitchen. Upstairs was a large game room with a pool table, card table and tv area, as well as two more rooms. You could easily have 15 people here and not feel cramped in the slightest with multiple areas for sitting, playing and relaxing. I wanted to take home about 10 of the chairs and sofas, they were so comfortable. This place perfectly met our needs and desires to have a place to crash, hang out, enjoy the solitude of nature and just enjoy each other.

  • If your idea of a great vacation is to get away from it all; the crowds, the traffic,...everything, this is the place to be! This is a beautiful lodge on a beautiful property! Perfect for our family reunion. It had everything we needed and more. We had a wonderful time. Thanks so much. We hope to go back soon.
