COUNTRY LODGE GETAWAY
If you like tin roofs, porch swings, rocking chairs, country quiet and long walks among stately oaks and Loblolly pines, you will love Echeconnee Plantation Lodge, a beautiful six bedroom lodge nestled in the middle of two thousand acres of natural beauty. Enjoy the use of one hundred acres surrounding the lodge as you bike or hike the numerous trails in this prime quail, turkey, and deer habitat. Catch your limit of bream, bass and catfish or simply canoe across the eleven acre lake to check out the other shore. Try an old-fashioned game of horseshoes, a lively game of pool or simply sit on the screened porch and watch the sun go down—or come up—as you enjoy a setting of complete serenity.
Enjoy the comfort of this warm and welcoming lodge as you dine family style around a large harvest table and then sink into the leather chairs and enjoy a roaring fire in the stone fireplace on cool evenings. You will find that Echeconnee Plantation lodge is suitable for corporate retreats or just for retreating from the world. The lodge is perfect for family vacations, reunions or weekend getaways. A short drive from everything you need yet a world away from the things you don’t, this destination is a treasure to its owners and, hopefully, it will be the same to you.

This Country Lodge is just wonderful! We stayed here while in Macon for a tennis tournament and had the best time. We were concerned it might be too far from downtown Macon, but it takes no time at all yet feels like you are alone in the woods. The house is beautiful cozy and spacious. Very clean and has all the amenities you might need! We enjoyed canoeing, lounging on the screened in back porch, hanging by the outdoor lake deck, and strolling the property. The early mornings are beautiful with the lakeview and at night every star is visible. I would recommend this house to anyone and am eager to return. The owner was very helpful with directions and even recommended some nearby restaurants and grocery stores. We ended up winning the tournament and I know if was because of the good times we had at the cabin. Everyone was very sad to leave.

Our extended family had the great fortune to stay at this lovely cabin for 4 days. The description and photos of the home were quite accurate. The kitchen was well stocked and I found I did not need to bring everything I brought from Ohio. Our son was getting married in the Warner Robins area, and we chose to host the rehearsal dinner here. The facilities were great for our needs and everyone had a good time. The owners were great to work with and we are quite pleased with how our stay went. As a matter of fact, this home turns out to be set up perfectly for any large family gathering and I may copy it up here in Ohio! If we are in the area again with a large number of family members, we will certainly rent this place again!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Clean, as described, with thoughtful, attentive owners. Our favorite things here: sit on the dock at sunset, peacefully paddle the canoe, games or talking on the screen porch, a big home cooked meal around the large table or kitchen island, morning coffee while watching heron, geese, or jumping fish. Then there's the pool table, and DirecTV for those missing city life. (speaking of which - cell service is hit or miss, Verizon seemed more reliably available) It was really enjoyable being secluded in such a comfortable setting. Get your groceries at the Lizella market (or back at the interstate exit). Thanks very much.

We stayed at this lovely lodge when we came to Macon for a wedding. We first thought it was too far out in the country, but then we realized that is was worth the drive. The living room with its comfortable furniture and wonderful fireplace was the perfect place to gather. We really appreciated the pile of wood for the fire. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean. It was too cold to spend much time outdoors, but we would like to go back to enjoy the lake and outdoor swings. If you go, pay attention to the owner's directions to get there. We highly recommend this getaway.

This property was perfect for my family when we came to Macon for a wedding. The complete kitchen was perfect for preparing meals and for cooking the fish we caught in the lake. There was lots of room for sleeping and for gathering in the great room to visit with family. I would definitely recommend it. Much nicer for a group than a hotel.

My sister's wedding was in Macon over the weekend. We happily stumbled on this jewel that was 35 minutes away from downtown Macon. Have two young children ourselves, parents, siblings and Aunts and Uncles, this place looked like the perfect alternative to multiple hotel rooms. We were not disappointed in the slightest. It has been years since I have been anywhere that I could sit outside for hours literally without hearing a single plane or vehicle. Though a little difficult to find, once you find it you enter a 2600 acre enclave of wildlife, trails and a beautiful lake. The house is perfectly situated overlooking the 11 acre lake, wonderfully enjoyed in our favorite place, the screened in back porch. The main floor had 4 bedrooms, a large living room/dining room and a kitchen. Upstairs was a large game room with a pool table, card table and tv area, as well as two more rooms. You could easily have 15 people here and not feel cramped in the slightest with multiple areas for sitting, playing and relaxing. I wanted to take home about 10 of the chairs and sofas, they were so comfortable. This place perfectly met our needs and desires to have a place to crash, hang out, enjoy the solitude of nature and just enjoy each other.
