ARCHITECTURE
Designed by the same architects, Palmer and Krisel (Dan Palmer / William Krisel) who built the celebrated “Alexander Homes” in Palm Springs. It has been meticulously restored by the owners to give you a classic 1960s Vegas experience with contemporary Modern updates where appropriate.
1700+ square foot interior features high sloped ceilings with gold glitter ceilings, large glass sliders open up to back yard and clerestory windows keep it light and bright. The front overhang allows you to have the windows wide open and maintain COMPLETE privacy from the street. It is fully furnished with Mid Century Modern furniture, including recognizable designer pieces such as George Nelson lamps, Modernica, Eames, Bertoia, bullet planters, etc., and unique period treasures.

Outside, the private, walled backyard features a huge custom in-ground pool is long enough for laps (30 feet), but also includes a fountain-depth 10 foot tanning ledge or "martini shelf" (Inspired by the Delano Hotel in South Beach, Miami) where you can actually sit in a chair in the pool! A propane powered fire pit (inspired by the Andre Balazs’ Standard Hotel in Los Angeles) will warm up the cooler Vegas nights. And five citrus trees bearing fresh oranges, lemons and lime are planted by the private Master bedroom patio. Lots of nooks for Outdoor Dining & Lounging.

This home is nicknamed the Caddyshack, because it is next door to the Las Vegas National Golf Club (formerly 1961 Stardust Country Club) and offers the ultimate fun golfer's getaway. It features a very subtle circular design motif throughout, but its main appeal is the miniature golf putting green course in the front and back yard! 9 holes in all!

- Not Suitable for Children: We have a lot of breakable and non-replaceable collectibles in the house. If you can prove you have well-behaved mature kids, they might be suitable. Then you can show them what life was like before the WII!

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Paradise Palms was built in 1963. It was developed by Paradise Development Company and Irwin Molasky Homes. The homes were designed by Palmer and Krisel (Daniel Palmer and William 'Bill' Krisel), the same architects who designed the well known Alexander Homes in Palm Springs. They designed wonderful homes with great energy and feng shui layouts!

The Caddyshack owners previously restored and successfully created a historic landmark nomination in Los Angeles: “The Foster Residence” a 1964 Joseph Eichler Home designed by A. Quincy Jones and Frederick Emmons. This home was seen in TV commercials, fashion advvertising, 2 CSI episodes and the Joel Silver movie "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang." So when they came to Vegas to restore this vintage home - they knew what they were doing! Together they were founding members of the Las Vegas Atomic Age Alliance which is modeled after the successful preservation groups Los Angeles Conservancy Modern Committee and the Palm Springs Modern Committee. They also run “LottaLiving” an online community for fans of Mid Century Modernism across the country.
