LOCATION:
As ideal as it gets for Las Vegas. 5 minutes from the Fabulous and Famous Strip, historic funky downtown, UNLV, 1 mile from the convention center, minutes from shopping, restaurants and nightlife and 10-15 minutes or so to the airport. The location is completely convenient, yet a world away from the noise and hustle, tucked in a family friendly, gay-friendly, safe, quiet neighborhood called Paradise Palms.
ARCHITECTURE:
Designed by the same architects, Palmer and Krisel (Dan Palmer / William Krisel) who built the celebrated “Alexander Homes” in Palm Springs. It has been meticulously restored by the owners to give you the classic 1960s Vegas experience with contemporary Modern updates where appropriate.
1700+ square foot interior features high sloped ceilings with gold glitter ceilings, large glass sliders open up to the back yard and clerestory windows keep it light and bright. The front overhang allows you to have the windows wide open and maintain COMPLETE privacy from the street. Outside, a huge custom in-ground pool is long enough for laps (30 feet), but also includes a fountain-depth 10 foot tanning ledge or "martini shelf" (Inspired by the Delano Hotel in South Beach, Miami) where you can actually sit in a chair in the pool! A propane powered fire pit (inspired by the Andre Balazs’ Standard Hotel in Los Angeles) will warm up the cooler Vegas nights. And five citrus trees bearing fresh oranges, lemons and lime are planted by the private Master bedroom patio.
GOLF:
This home is nicknamed the Caddyshack, because it is next door to the Las Vegas National Golf Club (formerly 1961 Stardust Country Club) and offers the ultimate fun golfer's getaway. It features a very subtle circular design motif throughout, but its main appeal is the miniature golf putting green course in the front and back yard! 9 holes in all!
