Welcome to our wonderful home, Alma del Mar (The Soul of the Sea). This fabulous 4000 square foot oceanfront home resides within in the heart of 4500 acres of scenic Hacienda Pinilla, one of Costa Rica's best exclusive gated private residential communities. This wild life refuge property has 3 km of secluded pristine beaches, surfing as well as world-class golfing, tennis and an outstanding horseback riding facility. We are just a short 15-minute drive to the beach town of Tamarindo where one can find shopping, restaurants and nightlife. This beautiful home sits on Playa Bonita and just minutes from Playa Avellanas, one of the premier surfing beaches of Costa Rica. In addition, Playa Langosta is just minutes from the door providing access to three premier sandy Costa Rican beaches!
The ground floor has a living area, game table, wet bar, laundry room and two large bedrooms with spacious private baths, both containing a queen and twin bed in each bedroom.
The second level has a large great room with vaulted ceiling and dining room area with floor to ceiling panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. A newly designed kitchen will suit the needs of any culinary chef. All appliances are General Electric Stainless Steel, including a dishwasher, microwave and gas range. The two master suites on the upper level have king size beds, ample dresser and closet space as well as a desk and chair.
Relax in the morning sipping coffee on a chaise lounge from the deck that surrounds the upper level as you bird watch or spot the Howler monkeys in the nearby trees. Or better yet, in the evening, enjoy the exquisite sunsets while sipping a mango margarita or cocktail. The lower patio also has comfortable outside seating as well as a covered built-in BBQ and outside shower.
Each room in the house has a ceiling fan and air conditioning. Both living areas contain televisions with Cable service and DVD players. Wireless Internet access is available…you provide your own lap top computer. There is a CD player in both family rooms. Weekly maid service is included and additional days are available for a nominal fee.
The development of Hacienda Pinilla offers horseback riding, tennis and one of the most beautiful 18 hole golf courses in the Guanacaste region. A small boutique hotel in the development (Posada del Sol) offers restaurant dining as well as personnel to help arrange outside activities such as Canopy Tours (zip lining through the trees), fishing excursions, spa treatments, etc.. Hacienda Pinilla is the home of the new JW Marriott, 5 star flagship hotel to be completed in 2008. This 5000 acre resort prides itself in protecting the environment, is an Audubon Society reserve and hosts an array of wildlife: including birds, frogs, iguanas, turtles and howler monkeys.
Major airline service is available to Liberia Airport, approximately 1-hour drive or to San Jose Airport, which is a 4-hour drive or a 40 min. commuter flight into Tamarindo Airport (15 min. from the house)
