A LITTLE ABOUT THE RENTAL:
The Homosassa Getaway is located just a few blocks from Howard's Flea Market, off Cardinal St., Homosassa, Fl 34446. Great spot to shop and lots of homemade treats like corndogs, cinnamon buns, honey, donuts and plenty of fresh fruits. (They allow leashed pets to visit as well) Around the corner you will find a Live Indoor Butterfly Exhibit. Grab a bite to eat at the corner cafe. We are about 4 minutes to downtown attractions including the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park. I would recommend this place if you like nature and animals. The cost is also very low. The Homosassa River, waterfront dining, marina and boat ramps are just around the corner from the Park. The springfed water park at Bucaneer Bay is complete with waterslides, nature trails, wildlife, boat rides and underwater mermaid show is located about 25-30 minutes from the rental.

ONLY AREA WHERE YOU CAN SNORKEL & INTERACT WITH THE LOCAL MANATEES WHICH ARE HERE ALL YEAR LONG!

Homosassa Ammenities:
Handicap Accessible,Garden Tub/Master Suite,Large Vanity Area, Walk in closet(master), Full Kitchen, Patio & BBQ Grill, Chain Link Dog Kennel, 60ft Dog Run, large dogs welcome here! Satellite TV in all Rooms, Massage by appointment ($50 1/2 hour or $90 1 hour).

In the kitchen you will find 6 qt crockpot, wafflemaker, coffeemaker, microwave, side by side fridge with ice/water on door, full size gas stove, pots, pans, dishes, untensils, and dish soap.

In the bathrooms you will find towels, wash cloths, hand soap, and hair dryers.

  • Lisa has completely outdone herself decorating the rental. We were amazed. She also went out of her way to help us with other accomodations, ie: local attractions, fishing guides, etc. If you are wanting a quiet vacation, not far from Tarpon Springs or Tampa/Clearwater Beach, this would be a great place to stay and the price is very reasonable.

  • we rented this nice place for a week. the price was great and we had lots of fun. we wne tto the beaches and to snorkel with the manatee's also we drove to clearwater beach its only about 45-60 mins away. lisa set up and made sure we had all the info we needed. we also loved the turltes that live on the property. over all we had the best vaction and we will back real soon. thank you lisa!!

  • We rented this beautiful property to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had never tried anything like this, so we were very excited. We walked in the door and literally dropped our mouths-I had seen pictures of the rental on the website, but they DO NOT do this rental justice at all. It is absolutely gorgeous! The furnishings are amazing, you feel like you just walked in a 5 star suite. The house is immaculate, with everything you could possibly need. And Lisa is a wonderful person to do business with. She helped me with area attractions, answered all of my emails very quickly when I had questions. I would highly reccomend to rent this property, we will be going back, we are alreay planning a trip to go there in the fall.

    My wife and I had a great time. We were able to do a little salt water fishing on sunday and then went and did some swimming from the boat in the homosassa springs with some manatees. We wanted to say thank you for letting us stay at your house. We are definately going to try and bring our parents down later in the year, so we will be in touch. Thank you once again!

  • We really enjoyed our recent stay at your home. The home was very clean and well furnished. The neighborhood is quiet and the traffic is not bad like you find further to the south. Although we cooked many meals at the home, we also found tasty restaurants nearby. We especially enjoyed the Sugarmill Restaurant....home-cooked food and reasonably priced. We soaked up the sun by relaxing in the front and back yards and also along the nearby Crystal River while watching the boats go by. We also enjoyed other nearby attractions. Thanks again.
