The cottage was well equipped for newcomers to the area! The binder full of brochures was very handy when there was time not spent on the beautiful beach. The cottage interior was lovely and very homey! The beach couldn't be in better condition and the seclusion was nice. The dunes were breathtaking and getting to the beach provided a nice view and an awesome workout! Thanks so much for an amazing experience!!

We had a great time staying in your cottage! This was our first time staying by Lake Michigan and we will definately be back. The walk/climb to the beach was so much fun and the view of the water was always breathtaking!! We saw some great sunsets and collected lots of interesting stones. The house is beautiful and comfortable and we appreciated the well equipped kitchen since we ate all our meals here. Thank you for the opportunity to stay here!

We had a great time in your adorable cottage! All the furniture - including the beds - were so comfortable! We loved the private beach for finding beach glass and beautiful rocks. The dunes were an added plus for their beauty and the exercise! The kitchen was so well equipped & we enjoyed the games and magazines you had. We had a great time....thank you for everything! Loved the cute chairs, curtains & pillows!

Thank you for such a wonderful vacation! Your home is lovely and the private beach is amazing. Our 1 & 3 year old had the best time going to the beach everyday, exploring South Haven & Saugatuck, & going blueberry picking. The Summer House was perfect for the occasional rainy night. Thanks to you & "Dune Hart", we had the best family vacation ever! We all walked to & had fun at the beach, had campfires, played games in the lanai, shopped & ate. Some of us also golfed, kayaked, bicycled to & from town, went blueberry picking, walked up the dunes & explored Douglas/Saugatuck, as well as our favorite, South Haven! Thank you for the amenities & especially thank you during this steamy week for having AC!! We love your home.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your cottage. We found great pleasure in the comfortable beds anad well organized kitchen. My family enjoyed climbing the dunes and going to the beach every day. We would also like to thank you for providing the fire pit. We built fires almost eery night. South Haven is such a great town and we will definately consider coming back.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful vacation spot with our family. We picked 90 lbs. of blueberries anad played in the sand dunes for hours & hours. Our 80 yr. old PaPaw climbed to the top of the dunes & enjoyed the beautiful view.

What a great find! Dune Hart is a comfortable, spacious, cozy location for our 'Amigos Getaway' 2011. We very much enjoyed the wonderful kitchen, terrific wood-burning stove, and abundance of electrical outlets and variety of lighting. Our walk over the dunes to the beach was a good workout for us and we absolutely loved watching the sunset over the water on top of the dunes. Just beautiful!! Thank you, thank you for providing a peaceful, cheery sanctuary for us.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage!! My friends and I had a wonderful time. We loved the decor, large space, variety of lighting, the kitchen, bedrooms and wood stove the best! Or maybe the location to the amazing dunes was the best...LOVED that SO MUCH!! No problem about the weather...We expected it to be cold & Mother Nature did not disappoint. The nice thing was it was sunny!!! When we walked the dunes, the beach, and Van Buren State Park, we did get very cold (the wind was biting), but that made returning to the cottage and sitting by the fire that much more enjoyable!!! We watched the sunset from atop the dunes on Friday night, and we'd never trade that for anything, despite the chill. What a wonderful vacation spot! We'd love to rent the place again and will certainly be in touch!

We had a great family vacation! A lot to do with 4 kids under 5 years. The outdoor toys were a big hit! Beach access was not easy with the kids but we enjoyed the beach in town by the lighthouse. The cottage was great! Thanks!

Thank you for letting us stay here with the awesome dunes! We enjoyed hiking and walking to the beach. We really liked the State park's beach. Clementines was awesome! I really liked that we were by the downtown area. It was one of the best vacations I ever had. I loved this house! We will always remember it. The best part was climbing the biggest dune!

We would like to thank you for the great time at your cottage. We enjoyed great weather during our stay, 75 - 80 degrees. The views from the dunes are spectacular. We were able to make at least 2 trips a day to the beach. The dunes are not too bad to manage. (our 7 year old daughter climbed all of them.) We loved the adventure of climbing them. Your cottage is beautiful and well decorated. You have everything one could wish for in the kitchen and bathrooms. The families in the neighborhood were all very nice and easy to talk to (very helpful). Downtown South Haven and board walk are a must see. Thanks again.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We spent five wonderful days here and will have many great memories with our daughter (4 yrs. old) and son (2 yrs. old). Because of the weather, we made it to the beach only twice, but thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We all loved the walk through the woods and hearing the waves as we approached the Lake. As for the amenities found at Dune Hart, we can only say -- fantastic! The list of things we enjoyed is long. Here are a few of our favorites: the toys for the kids (especially the wood puzzle), the kitchen with all the great cooking items, the comfortable mattresses (we slept really well), the fire pit outside, and all the great decorations that made us feel at home. We are already talking about our next visit with our extended family. Thanks for making our first trip to Lake Michigan wonderful!

We had a lovely retreat here in your lovely cottage. We had two gourmet cooks who think your kitchen is great. The cottage was a great retreat for we three who haven't seen each other in 25 years. Helpful info: the Village Market is open until midnight, the short way to the Lake (over the dunes) isn't as bad as previous writers describe (although we did not have to lug kids anad chairs and coolers), we ate at Thirsty perch in downtown South Haven and it was great. Thanks for the toiletries in the bathroom they were helpful to those of us who forgot. We were comfortable and happy. Many thanks!

Thank you for such a great vacation cottage. We had great weather everyday. This was our 1st year, of hopefully many, of planning a group family vacation which included my husband, 2 yr. old daughter, self (8 months pregnant), my parents, my brother, sister-in-law and their 6 month old twins! There was plenty of space in the house and yard and the summer house worked great for early mornings as my daughter wakes up ready to play long before anyone else and the summer house was great for dinner for the adults as the children slept in the house. We made many memories. For example my husband, 2 yr. old and myself made our initial trip to the Lake asap (without reading where the other path was) over the dunes - which was do-able but intense :). But a great thing to do 1st because it made the woods path a breeze! We had no trouble walking the distance thru the woods path even with bags & kids in tow! The neighborhood was quiet Thurs., Sat., & Sunday but Friday night/Sat morning the neighbors were a bit rowdy :). We had a great time grilling & cooking over the fire - the kitchen supplies are great quality and the whole home decor was charming and clean! Thanks you so much for a great vacation!
