Enjoy one of the most unique experiences of your life time at our two bedroom cottage nestled in the woods of Bald Head Island. The swimming pool in our quaint community is 100 yards from the house and is one of three pools to choose from with our existing county club memberships. The community also offers a safe place for children to be outside and ride bikes. The cottage is centered on the island and two minutes away with our "6-seat" golf cart to both the beach and grocery store (to pick up the nightly evening movie which further will bond your family on this vacation).
Bald Head Island is NOT Myrtle Beach!!! There are no rides, no Wal-Mart and no McDonald's. There are also no cars, no traffic, and no hurry. You will see deer, fox, turtles, birds galore, occasional dolphins, and yes alligators (not to worry they stay in the ponds) It is a place to come and relax by the ocean taking late night golf cart rides and simply bonding with your family. It is a "place of healing" from life's stress. And you will know this feeling when the unfortunate departure time comes, the ferry takes you back to the mainland, and you see the site of cars and large numbers of people again. But you will at least have been relaxed....

My family loved staying here. Plenty of room for our 4 person family. We loved the location so close to the community pool, that we had to ourselves almost the whole time. Only a few minutes ride to several beaches. The golf cart was great, as were the bicycles. We cooked every night we were there, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The Market on the island is great. We hope to come to the island again next summer! My boys still talk about Bald Head Island!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We had a really great stay in this home. Nice location and very good neighborhood. Kids and dog had lots of room to play. Home is in good condition. Everything was clean and in order. Plenty of space! The 6 passenger golf cart is a big plus as well. Community pool is well taken care of. We had a great time!
