Great Condo, Reasonably Priced

My wife and I honeymooned here in March. The Condo was very clean and appointed as advertised. The view from the bedroom upstairs is amazing. The kitchen is very well equipped. We cooked 2 meals while staying in the condo. It is conveniently located to Heavenly. You can catch the shuttle or drive to the lifts in under 10 minutes. Also conveniently located to town, for restaurants, spas, casinos, etc. We had a fantastic time and Patrick was very responsive. I hope he is the owner for our next Tahoe trip, we'd love to stay here again.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

This was my first time in Tahoe and was very interested in this property because it is so closely located to Heavenly. The stay was fine, but, what happenes after my stay is what I had a problem with. The owner sends me an email stating I had broken the fridge and stolen two of the pillows and I would be charged an additional amount. I explained that I only used the fridge to store drinks and other items like fruit and yogurt and was completly fine when I had left. In addition, being accused of stealing pillows is just just absurd. Who would steal old and low quality pillows? I tried to communicate with the owner, Patrick, but, he basically said this is what his maid told him and said too bad. In addition, he had the nerve to say if I had a problem with the charge I can take itit up with my bank. There are plenty of other rentals so save yourself the trouble with having to deal with such a dishonest person.

Owner response:I contacted Mr. Lee at 12:30 p.m after my housekeeper contacted me and informed me that the renters had not vacated the premises as of yet and she had to clean for the new renters arriving at 3:00. I contacted Steven and he informed me he "forgot" about check out, was having brunch and would return to my condo soon. One hour later (now 2 1/2 hours after check out) I received a telephone call from Steven stating that he was leaving. My housekeeper finally was able to clean the condo after the Steven left and a few hours later she contacted me and informed me that the refrigerator trays were on top of the refrigerator (???) and one of them was broken and could not be put back into the refrigerator. Further, she stated two pillows (these were new when the sofa was purchased a short time ago) were missing. I informed Steven that he was being charged $85 of his $250 security deposit for the tray, pillows, late check out and the additional charges I had to pay to my housekeeper ($20) (she actually missed her class that day because of his "forgetfulness"). Before Steven was informed of the charges he sent me an email stating how much he enjoyed his stay and my condo. I have had one other problem renter in four years of renting and have returned the complete deposit with the exception of Steven and the other party that trashed my condo. My housekeeper has been with me the entire time and rarely has mentioned any problem with renters and is completely credible. She cleaned the condo prior to Steven's arrival and was well aware what was there and in working order before Steven arrived. I did in fact request that Steven dispute the charge with his bank as I believe my housekeeper (why would she make up such a story?) and I think someone as inconsiderate as Steven would have no problem with stretching the truth.

Spent a week early February skiing. The unit is in a great location with a bus stop immediately out the front to take you directly to the ski run or into town. It had everything you wanted and more - nice to see cupboards full of cling wrap, foil, oil and previous occupant's leftovers. Did not have time to use the sauna or jacuzzi but would thoroughly recommend this unit for a holiday. The owner Patrick very easy to deal with. Would have no hesitation in coming back.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.
