Located on the Harbor in Rockland, ME. This vacation home is located across from the Samoset Resort. It is also located on the same street and just a few minutes walk to the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse. The house is located on the Rockland-Rockport City line. We are minutes from Downtown Rockland, Rockport & Camden. We are located about a hour from Boothbay Harbor and an hour and a half from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.
Rockland has ferry service that can get you over to the islands of North Haven and Vinalhaven for a day trip. You can also drive about 20 minutes to Lincolnville and jump on the ferry to Islesboro or drive down to Port Clyde and catch the ferry to Monhegan for a nice day trip.
There are too many things to list as far as activities, But I will try to get the big ones. The North Atlantic Blues Festival, The Maine Lobster Festival, Numerous Country Fairs, The Farnsworth Museum, The Owl's Head Transportation Museum, Camden Hills State Park, Lake Megunticook, Marshall Point Lighthouse, Owl's Head Lighthouse, L.L. Bean, Maine Windjammer Fleet, Fall Foliage, Sailing, Harbor Cruises, Mt Battie, Puffin Cruises, Steamed Lobster, tons of shopping, Art Galleries and many great restaurants.
