I can't begin to describe the experience. The view is breathtaking. The house and grounds are beautiful and easily accommodated our family of seven. The sunsets were spectacular. We saw deer and turkey on and near the property. I could go on and on. It was a short trip to Bandon for groceries and my son-in-law enjoyed his experience on the Bandon golf course. I would heartily recommend to anyone. Be sure to bring your camera! You will want to capture every moment! Thank you O Jay for opening your house to our family thus allowing all of us to have a wonderful vacation.
Owner response:Thank you for the kind words. We try very hard to make it special, like it is for us.

We just spent 4 days at Sea Cliff. The eight of us has a wonderful time. The house was very, very clean. The view of the ocean....it is just magic! We watched the whales from the patio. The kitchen, breakfast room and keeping room are so comfortable we spent most of our time there. We raced for the chairs by the fireplace every time we came in. We would definately make a return visit. The forest around the house is worthy of a name of it's own.
Owner response:Thank you Rhonda. Your group was a pleasure to meet. I think we name the forest Sea Woods. ;)

We had the privilege of staying in this one-of-a-kind home overlooking the pacific ocean for 3 nights at the end of June 2011. Our group of three families came off a rafting adventure on the Rogue River and could not have found a more perfect place to relax and rejuvenate! The house was designed with a view from every room. The kitchen, with it's spacious design and needed amenities, made it easy to prepare delicious meals for our family and friends. (One piece of advice - go to the store BEFORE you arrive at Sea Cliff because once you get there, you won't want to leave!) The pool table upstairs provided hours of entertainment. The outdoor fireplace was the perfect place for s'mores (kids) and cocktails (adults). The hot tub was set away from the house overlooking the ocean - very peaceful and relaxing! My seven year old loved sitting on the window seat and searching for whales with the binoculars provided by O. Jay. The entire stay was seamless. O. Jay, the owner, was a gracious host, calling at sunset the first night to see how we were settling in. We unconditionally recommend this property to anyone lucky enough to find it! We will definitely return and share this fabulous home with more of our family:)

My family of 4 and our parents just spent an incredible week for our Thankgiving vacation here. The home and property are everything and more than we thought it would be. The house is top quality with the best views of the pacific ocean. We had wind, rain, snow (yes snow) and sunshine. Lived by the fireplace and also had the beach all to ourselves. Total relaxation. This home is a must. O.Jay was great to set this up for us and make us feel like this was our home. We will be back. Perfect place for the traveling golfer playing at Bandon Dunes Resort. Thanks

If you are going to Bandon, this is the place to stay. Our party was extremely pleased with the house, views, and location. Far better than staying at the Bandon Dunes Resort. The photos on this site captures the beauty, but is far more beautiful in person. Rain or shine, the views are outstanding. Very relaxing atmosphere. The walkway down to the beach which is not shown in pictures was super cool as well. Overall, one of the best places I have ever stayed. My only complaint was I did not stay long enough! O.Jay was a pleasure to deal with and we will certainly be back next year.

I planned a trip for a golf foursome and was not able to book at Bandon Dunes, so I checked out VRBO. When I found this house, I was pleased. When I actually saw it, I was overjoyed. This house is very lovely, and the location is unbelievable. Up on a bluff overlooking the Pacific yet in complete privacy. The owner met us when we arrived and gave us a thorough tour and explanation of the property. It is very well furnished and decorated, and was extremely enjoyable to return to after a day of golf. My security deposit was returned promptly without my having to ask. All in all, this is a far superior alternative to the spartan housing at Bandon Dunes. Grab it if you can.

This is a lovely, very unique, luxury home. Save it for special occasions! The view is spectacular; the home and furnishings are first class. The beach is very private, but the path does require careful climbing. The kitchen is well appointed, with a grocery store not too far away for those forgotten items. Overall, this is a beautiful and restful retreat. We don't golf, but it is very close to a world class Golf Course. We celebrated a very special weekend birthday with several friends at this lovely family home. Thanks to the family for sharing your home with us!

The house is very much as described. Outstanding beach front location. Can easily accomodate 4 couples in a very gracious manner. Owner is very friendly and responsive to any request. Hot tub is so so. Doesn't have enough wattage to keep it hot with cover off. Highly recommended. It would be a pleasure to stay here again.

This is a beautiful place. However, there are deferred maintenance issues. We opened windows and then they would not close and there was mold on the walls in sleeping cabin. The television went out during golf match. We had to wait 29 days before getting our refund. Owner was rude and difficult !!
Owner response:Anna shortchanged, and complained from the beginning. She "forgot" to send her deposit and insisted on sleeping 10 adults in a 4 bedroom house. When one of the couples arrived to see the outside cabin, (which Anna had refused to inspect) they decided the "sleeping cabin" 100 feet from the house was too funky for their standards. It is clean and has no rental value or running water. I was not told until Anna was leaving that anything was less than perfect. Odd? Then,Anna demanded I pay for their ocean front motel room, because the sleeping cabin was saturated with Black Mold. (no proof of mold, only a two inch gray square stain on wall by corner behind door). The County Health Dept said it wasn't enough to injure someone. The inspector told me to just scrub the gray area with bleach as final treatment, just in case. I had a Medical Doctor inspect it and he deemed it harmless enough for his kids to play in the cabin. There were other beds provided inside the main house, but Anna's extra couple wanted their own room. When told I thought her claims were ridiculous, she claimed she would sue and write bad reviews. I then found out they had broke the open and closing cranks on 3 windows. Of course they were the only renters to ever break anything, and the first to threaten a lawsuit. I refunded all of her deposit, even though they broke 3 windows and tv receiver card, and one half of her expensive hotel room. After more threats of lawsuit, I refunded everything she asked, and still she reviews lies. I just received an email that supports my conclusion that Anna regularly does this. She is now threatening another VRBO owner over her deposit. She offered no compensation for repairs, but instead complains about not getting her refund the next day. Oregon law states you must at least inform the rental party within 30 days. I was getting repair estimates. I refunded all they asked for, even though I didn't have to. She is far beyond rude. I would not recommend anyone ever renting to her, or her husband Jake. Anna misrepresented the cabin to her adult couple, they preferred to rent a room in a nearby motel. Of course they hung out, ate dinner, and used our hot tub and beach, while demanding me to pay for their new room. Her review is anonymous, but every other review is glowing, and they use their names. Sincerely, O.Jay / Owner

Our stay at the Bandon property was fantastic in every way. The house was beautiful, the views were stunning, and the location relative to golf at Bandon Dunes was perfect. We were personally welcomed when we arrived and made to feel very much at home. The house is well designed, furnished and cared for. Oh...the hot tub at 11pm, away from the house, near the ocean cliffs, under the stars and a canopy of trees...is a must do experience. Highly recommended.

I rented this house for a week and had a great time with my family. It is so comfortable, has a great kitchen, and has every conceivable luxury. The views are amazing. If you golf, it is minutes from Bandon Dunes. It is very private, has beautiful grounds, and ever so peaceful. It made our trip perfect!

My son just reminded me of our stay here - he called it the place with the endless beach. We played on the beach for hours, walked for miles and had it to ourselves. At first the boys thought the beach was covered with snow since the sand is so fine and clean. Also, they loved the driftwood hut that OJay is building on the beach. The house itself is special. We (our family of four including 2 boys aged 8 and 10) brought our neice so she could be with the kids while we golfed. She loved having her own captain suite with personal bathroom and balcony. We ate all our meals outside on the deck and we able to play football on the front lawn. The house was wonderfully clean and had lots of fun things to do. The adults went golfing each day and OJay recommended a great caddy. I have had lots of caddies before who are intimidating for women golfers but Ojay's recommendation was the best caddy I have ever had. He knew the course, knew the game and was able to give small but incredibly helpful suggestions. We are an active family (golf, football, beach walking) and thoroughly enjoyed the climb to and from the beach. Loved the house and used the hot tub to soak our sore bodies and enjoy the view.
