Our first trip to St. Thomas was wonderful - in part because of the terrific condo we rented. Unit B-11 at Crystal Cove/Sapphire Bay Condominiums West is in an excellent location. The beach is literally at your doorstep - about 150 feet away. Since St. Thomas is a small island, you are never really "far" from anything. We were close enough to be wherever we wanted to be within 20 minutes, yet far enough away to not be bothered by crowds when the cruise ships were in. I would definitely recommend renting a car - it was cheaper than taking taxis everywhere (they charge per person) and you get to come and go as you please. We had alot of fun exploring the island, finding our way around. Red Hook is a great little town right next door - about a mile down the road. There are great bars, restaurants, stores, a food market and the ferry to St. John - very convenient. About the unit itself: B-11 was very clean and well maintained. The owners (Steve and Honey) are very friendly and they respond right away to your e-mails. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home in B-11. Aside from food, everything you need is there for you when you walk in the door. There is a wide variety of snorkling equipment, a huge closet filled with towels (which was great, since we used ALOT of towels), a small but fully functional kitchen, front-loading washer/dryer, 2 bathrooms, a large living room with a HUGE TV and a very large bedroom. There is also a Murphy bed in the living room, but we did not use it. Everything was very comfortable and clean. Steve and Honey have compiled a binder with all the information you could need for your stay in St. Thomas. There are tips about what to do and where to go, local menus, directions, etc. It is a very thoughtful "extra touch" by the owners that I thought was great. There is also wireless internet throughout the condo - excellent signal, and we never had a problem with it. There is a large "hotel-type" safe bolted to the floor in one of the closets. It gave me peace of mind to know that our passports and extra cash were locked up while we were out. I never felt unsafe or uneasy - the access to the units is controlled (you need a gate key to get in) and there is security on-site. There are deadbolts on both the front and back doors of the unit, for an added level of security. This condo is a great deal - I am so glad I found it on VRBO! B-11 is exactly as advertised on the website. I highly recommend it!

This was my 2nd stay in this condo, so I kind of knew what to expect, but boy was I pleasantly surprised at the wonderful updates in the condo. The decor is beach like and the condo itself is spacious and airy. The beds, both the king size and the Murphy were so comfortable. The new washer and dryer were so helpful!. The 52 inch TV in the living room just proves how much these owners want their guests to feel at home. Upon arrival, the condo was spotless. It had starter supplies which were very much appreciated. The snorkeling equipment was perfect and included all different sizes for both adults and children. There were books, games, puzzles, cards, and dvd's for all age groups! The beach was spectacular and there was a bar with waitstaff serving drinks and tasty food which was not only convenient but also fairly inexpensive. The beach attendant was friendly, and placed a comfortable beach chair to wherever you wanted it. She cleaned the beach beautifully, but was also very willing and happy to stop working for a few minutes to take family photos! Everyone we came across while at the beach, or just walking around the pretty grounds was very friendly, owners and visitors alike. The trade winds on the beach felt great and we were also entertained by kite surfers on a blustery day. We felt very safe here even at night, when we decided to take a walk out to the beach to take pictures of the lights on St. John which is just across the way. Red Hook is only a few minutes drive from the condo and there you could eat, shop, drink, buy groceries, and take the ferry or barge over to St. John. Coral World in our opinion was a waste of time and money. I wish I had not gone there and just stayed on our beautiful beach! I had to E-mail the owner at one point because our toilet did not seem to be flushing properly and within 10 minutes he E-mailed me back to tell me what to do. As it turned out it wasn't the toilet at all,it was because the association was doing something with the grey water. But seriously, a 10 minute response time via E-mail, how awesome was that! The Wi-Fi in the unit worked great for my niece who was also working while enjoying her stay with us. I really could go on and on about the "magic" of this place and the comfort and serenity I received by staying here. I have to thank the owners for a most wonderful vacation which helped me to turn a corner in my personal life. This stay was perfect and I can't wait to return to "paradise"!

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days in March 2012. Everything was perfect and even better than we expected. The condo has everything you need for your stay. The owners are super helpful and will provide you with information on the condo, the island, how to get around, etc. and will answer the 20 million questions you might have prior to arrival. It really is a bargain on the beach, and you won't be disappointed. We can't wait to go back!

I have stayed in a few condos at this complex, and this is truly the best of the lot! What sets this place apart from the rest are the amenities as well as the dedication of the owner. If you are considering this complex, you will be very happy with This condo! There is a beautiful beach, great snorkeling, and wonderful people. Norma is there to help you with anything you need, she is a truly special person and I can't say enough about her.

Based on numerous, very positive reviews about the Condo, we rented it for August 19-24, 2011. The owners, Steve and Honey, place a priority in the communication and service that they provide to their guests. Steve shares with his guests his 40-page manuscript that assists you with every detail including what to take with you; Island vocabulary, pronunciation, and verbal customs; car rentals and driving; taxis; the Condo’s contents; and local restaurants and activities. Upon arrival at the Condo, we noticed the grounds were immaculate, everything was well-maintained, and everyone was very friendly. The complex’s saltwater pool, tennis court, and Sapphire Beach are just a few steps away. The complex has an automated gate-controlled entrance. We always felt very safe and we noticed security guards patrolling at night. The location is also very convenient, about a mile from Red Hook where there are many restaurants, a market for shopping, and the St. John’s ferry. The Condo is large and tastefully decorated and has a comfortable king-size bedroom, two full bathrooms, plenty of drawer space, and a large living/dining area with comfortable furniture. There are two pull down beds, a pull out couch, and a day bed in the master bedroom. The fully-equipped kitchen has almost every essential including pots, pans, utensils, dishes, cookware, bake ware, blender, toaster, coffeemaker (with filters), a new gas stove, and a large refrigerator. The unit has a great collection of books, CDs, and DVDs, two TVs with DVD players, including a 52-inch flat screen, a new washer/dryer, and a hotel safe. Sapphire Beach is very beautiful with white sand and shades of blue and green in the water. Sea Grape trees provide shade in the afternoon and the complex provides comfortable beach chairs and lounges for your use. From these chairs, you see the gorgeous view of St. John’s and the British Virgin Islands. There were reefs both to the left and right of the beach where we saw a variety of fishes, but the highlight was two sea turtles feeding near the sea grasses. Although our vacation was made soggy by the passing Tropical Storm Irene (just before she became Hurricane Irene), I offer my highest recommendations to Steve and Honey as owners, their “bargain on the beach” the Condo, Earl, the manager of the Sapphire Beach Condominiums West Condo complex, and Sapphire Beach itself.

Have stayed there in early August, just before a tropical storm came, and had a very good time. The condo is very nice and conveniently located just a few steps from the excellent Sapphire Beach. Having essentially two rooms and two bathrooms was important for us. The AC was working perfectly. The location is ideal for folks who come to the Virgin Islands having one main goal of enjoying the perfect water: swimming, snorkeling, etc., and also exploring the nearby St. John, a jewel of an island and a must to visit at least several times while you are on St. Thomas. The condo is conveniently located next to Red Hook with the stores and a frequent ferry service to St. John. Just hop on the fun local safari-type taxi which will take you to Red Hook for a buck a person (two bucks the other way at daytime, four at nighttime). We rented a car only for the arrival and departure days and were fine: I am not a fan of driving on the wrong side of the road. We spent most of the day in the water, and Sapphire Beach area is perfect for that, however if you look for things to do at night that area is not for you: then one definitely needs to have a rental car to go to places and to shop. We found food on the islands quite mediocre at best unless one wants to dress up and spend a lot of money at fine restaurants, but one can eat well back at home. The owner is a great person and very helpful in answering any questions or requests promptly.

The condo was very spacious and well equipped for snorkeling. It was great to have towels, sheets and suntan lotion ( especially when we do not check bags at the airport). I loved that I could get up early and watch tv and read without disturbing my husband. There was a door you could close that separated the bedroom from the living area. Loved that the beach was so close and you could always get a chair and a shady spot under the trees. Loved the area very much. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

We stayed at this Bargain on the Beach during our recent vacation and it truly was a slice of heaven. The condo is so comfy and has every possible amenity, wireless internet, snorkeling equipment and rafts, a large screen T.V. and even a washer and dryer. Steve and Honey have gone to great lengths to make this a 'home away from home'. The beach is just steps away from the condo with warm white sand, clear blue water and snorkeling which is unparalleled. I would recommend this unit to anyone interested in the perfect vacation. You will not be disappointed!

My wife, Janice and I had a really great time. We would definitely like to go back next year. The condo was more than we could ask for. This is really a class operation. Janice loved the jigsaw puzzles and believe it or not completed every one in the two weeks we were there. Norma is a "trip" and we had a bunch of laughs with her. Sapphire Beach is very beautiful and our new favorite hangout is Duffy's Love Shack. The snorkeling at Sapphire Beach is amazing. We also got to experience The Baths on Virgin Gorda and the Soggy Dollar Bar over on Jost Van Dyke. A vacation spot that can't be beat.

Now back from St. Thomas at Sapphire Beach-Crystal Cove, we are longing to return . Our stay was our 3rd visit with lodging in B-11. Each stay has been better than the last. We quickly felt right at home...of course, this was greatly due to Steve and Honey's every thoughtful detail making it so! Guests lack for nothing here!! It's the perfect relaxation get-away... But if it is excitement and evening fun, it can be found close by too. The Marina, a quick walk from the condos, has all day and evening boat excursions. On this visit we embarked on a day's adventure on the Horizon II visiting BVI. We highly recommend it. Of course, the evening affords a wonderful dining experience and lively music close by in Red Hook. You just can't go wrong here! And then there is the beautiful beach just steps away from B-11...it's the best....but please, just let's keep it our little secret! The clear aquamarine water, beautiful vista and adjacent coral reef provide an amazing snorkeling experience. You can literally spend the day in the water or relaxing on the sand. Plain & Simple: You just can't go wrong with B-11..everything is simply wonderful and Steve & Honey have made it " Our Home Away from Home!"

We just returned from a week in STT at Honey and Steve's condo and already miss it. They have done an excellent job decorating the condo everything from the furniture to the linens in the bathrooms. They also provided Wi-Fi access in the unit which enabled us to find and make reservations at some of the better restaurants including Blue Moon Cafe, Old Stone Farmhouse and Molly Malone's. Having a great kitchen in the unit made cooking breakfast and lunch very easy and allowed us to stick to our budget and make it a real 'Bargain on the Beach.' Thank you so much Honey and Steve, we loved it and can't wait to go back soon.

Just returned from this amazing place-Christmas 2010. This place was everyting we expected and more.Stunning beach so close to our home. Chairs were placed for us strategically every day! What nice people and great service. This place made the four of us feel at home at once. It is clean and comfortable. Sapphire is the best place in STT.We were going to go to other beaches - only hit one (shhhhh- it's a Secret) Kayaked and snorkeled daily.Played tennis and swam in pool ( we had the pool to ourselves) Burgers and Mahi Mahi tacos at Duffy's Love Shack - back home for snorkeling. The condo has everything you need !!! Steve, the owner is so helpful and accomodating. From tips thru e-mails to info at the condo- Thanks for making this trip so memorable. I would recommend this place in a heart beat! We enjoyed our stay and look forward to may more visits............

The pictures do not do this place justice! It's on my favorite beach in St. Thomas. The rooms were clean, and very well decorated. It made us feel that we were in a very homey, beach house. The owner answered all of our questions, and sent us many emails concerning everything to do and bring to the island. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. If you stay here I would recommend doing everything you can. Our favorite spots were all in Red Hook. Although we loved Yacht Haven too! All of the restaurants and bars in Red Hook my husband and I would recommend. There is even a place to parasail within walking distance from the condo! I would recommend for families, and anyone to go experience everything at Coral World. Also, how great Sapphire Beach is! It's absolutely gorgeous! We couldn't have stayed at a better place. Your own kitchen for days or nights cooking in. Walking distance to the beach and parasailing. 5 minutes from a great place to have fun downtown. And a great place to feel welcome and want to stay forever in the condo! We absolutely loved the condo and it's location!

I just returned from the best week w/ my husband. We loved the condo + have booked another stay! We did a grocery shop at the nearby Marina Market in Red Hook for some essentials. By having breakfast/lunch in the condo we saved a substantial amount of $ and were able to splurge at dinner out. The kitchen has more utensils and equipment than my own home! The condo complex strictly enforces that only owners/renters can use the beach chairs so cruise ship visitors, etc. populate the other side of the beach near a hotel where they can rent chairs which makes the section of beach in front of the condo complex private and serene. Yet, if you are seeking more of a"scene" you simply stroll down the beach! It was great that we stocked up on snacks and beverages so we were not forced to purchase them at the beach. Honey and Steve have coolers so we were able to bring beers (and a blender so we made mixed drinks!) and snacks with us. The unit really does have everything you need as stated in so many other reviews. It was too hot for me to get my daily run in but there was an exercise DVD they had I used in the living room (huge flat screen TV) as well as weights and yoga mat! We also used the floats provided to relax in the pool (the pool is fantastic + essentially private as everyone is at the beach) which was delightful. Again, as stated in another review, we had plans to go into town and do day trips/sight seeing but we just could not peel ourselves away from what we have learned is considered even by the locals as the nicest beach on the island!!! We can not wait to return to St. Thomas and will only stay in Honey +Steve's condo. It was just marvelous and they are the kindest, fairest and most professional proprietors who clearly have a knack at making their guests feel at home. Highly recommend for couples and families- great location on the island and spectacular, beach front condo- pure perfection and can't wait to return! PS- for those who are renting a car we got ours through Debbie at Budget (airport) and would recommend

We had a terrific time and loved, loved the condo! It is very large, and it has everything you can think of and everything you forget about when you pack! And everything is very clean and in perfect working condition. All you need to bring is your swimming suit, sun glasses, hat, beach cover, couple of outfits for trips and couple outfits for restaurants. The air conditioner works great, the condo has a very nice tropical feeling, no bugs and very clean. Steve and Honey are wonderful owners, a true pleasure to deal with. Very trustworthy! This was out first vacation through vrbo.com and experience was terrific! Steve explained us everything about the condo, the beach, the island, the condo had everything he promised and much more. Steve and Honey even asked us before we arrived whether we could think about something we would need that is not in the condo and that they can buy. I asked about portable beach chairs to take to other beaches (Sapphire beach has wonderful beach chairs for the guests). They were not in the condo but Steve and Honey bought them before we arrived! They childproofed the condo for us! The price was very (I stress it: very) good and plus Steve gave us a big discount because we stayed 2 weeks. But that was not all. We missed connection on our flight to St Thomas and spent a night in Miami instead of this beautiful condo. Not only when we finally arrived, there was a bottle of good wine waiting for us, but Steve is reimbursing us for the missed night, even though he could not possibly rent the condo out for this night to anybody else! This is a very nice touch, totally not expected by us, and one of those things that really count. The Sapphire Beach is very beautiful! Those shades of blue and green in the water, the shade on the beach, the comfortable beach chairs included with the condo, the unbelievable snorkeling! We came to St Thomas with big plans on going several times to St John, to British Virgin Islands (planned several trips to Virgin Gorad, Tortola and Jost Van Dyke), we also planned a lot of sightseeing on St Thomas (This is why we took 2 weeks of vacation) . But when we arrived and saw our own beach which is right near the condo (1 minute walk or less), and dipped in its crystal clear water and saw those schools of fish, coral and turtles, all these plans evaporated. We literally spent 2 weeks in the water of Sapphire beach. We really enjoyed our stay, had a very relaxing vacation and will be back again and again!

He gives the guests lots of information about the condo, area and tips for getting around St Thomas. We loved it so much we will definitely stay there again. The condo is large for a one bedroom and is well stocked. Having two bathrooms in a one bedroom is something rare. It came in very handy with two teenagers! Great great place to stay and the beach is absolutely wonderful (as is the access to the beach).

Words can not describe fully the experience you will have in the Condo. Just bring you clothes and food and you will be set everything else has been thought of. The kitchen is very well equiped, I have seen haouse with less, Livingroom very spacious and comfortable, bedroom very spacious and real matteresses. Just a few short steps and you will be on avery wonderful snorkle spot, sea turtles, sting rays, conch, and more just a few steps away. Red Hook is not far away for night life. Their is a tennis court and a salt water swimming poof to use. Norma the housekeeper is wonderful and knowledgeable about the area for first timers. The room guide is also a good thing to read even for someone who has been to the island before. This resort does not suffer from the problems other resorts on island have as to being corporate owned, or a timeshare. We have stayed at a few other resorts on island and have had bad experiences. Our overall experience was excellent and would rent again and again.

Another great visit to St Thomas! Steve and Honey were very easy to work with on the rental. The condo had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. A short walk of 1 minute to the water and my wife and I spent each day on the beach.Pool out the back door with tennis courts next to it. Used the pool (great the only ones there) but not the courts. Shopping and restaurants close by in Red Hook helped when we had to leave the sanctity of B-11. Highly recommend this location for a family or couple that doesn't need room service and wants to enjoy doing things for themselves. Make dinner, lunch or breakfast with everyone planning or recapping their day all in one room. We loved listening to the cd player and just talking about not wanting the week to end.

We took a day trip to St. Johns which we also enjoyed! The accomodations were perfect. My famiy took our first vacation to St. Thomas, and it was wonderful. Our stay at Steven's condo made the trip convenient and hassle free. Everything you need is already there, and if you need to buy any supplies, groceries are close by. Also the ferry, auto barge, and passenger only, are very close too. Four of us including two teenage sons had more than enough room. The condo also has comfortable beds, great air conditioning, and is very clean. We enjoyed using the BBQ Steven provides for B11. Another nice feature, since our purpose was to enjoy the water, was a cabnet fully stocked with all the snorkeling gear we needed. This prevented us from having to haul all that stuff on the airplane. Also, Sapphire Beach, right outside your door, was one of the best we found on St Thomas, or St Johns. What a great vacation! Thanks Steven. Steve C.

We are just back from a fabulous vacation . We are re-energized and invigorated. Sapphire Beach by far is the best beach on St Thomas. It can not be compared to the island’s Magen Bay or Coki Beach, and while Trunk Bay on St John's is lovely, it does not have the view nor the breeze. Therefore, Sapphire Beach rates at being #1 in our book. The condominium is just great with plenty of room and privacy having everything to make its guests' stay a pleasant one and lack for want of anything . The king size bed and Murphy beds were extremely comfortable. No one lost any sleep. The kitchen has what it takes to whip up a meal comfortably and the dining view from the condo is inviting, as it beckons you everyday to come take a dip! The location of the condo apart from being at the best beach (did I say the "best beach!") is such a positive. We walked to the marina and set out on an evening cruise to see the sun set with dinner on The New Horizon. We took a short drive into Red Hook ate at Molly Malones , frequented the Food Center for groceries, and hopped on the car ferry to St Johns. Although we shopped in Charlotte Amalie, visited Coral World, and ventured out to dine and experience Carnival Night at Iggy's & The Ritz Carlton...you really do not have to leave the Sapphire Beach Condos to experience the best which the Island has to offer. We hope to return soon! Thanks so much Steve and Honey for making this a vacation to remember!

What a great place to stay! The main bedroom was spacious with a king bed and plenty of closet and drawer space. The living area also had plenty of room. It has a sleeper sofa, which we did not use because it also has two twin murphy beds that pull down easily out of the wall. We had plenty of room for two adults and two teens. The condo has plenty of beach and bath towels, as well as a starting supply of things you would need, like laundry detergent, coffee, paper towels etc. The kithen is fully equiped has everything you need except a dishwasher. There was a small cooler that was perfect for the beach. Two full bathrooms are a bonus, as are the washer and small dryer in the condo. In short, grab a few groceries and you are good to go! The beach is perfect, clean and had a very private feel to it. Beautiful views in every direction. Beach chairs are included and plentiful. Great snorkling a short swim out. We saw a sea turtle the first time we went in! We went to St John on the car ferry. It is 5 minutes away in Red Hook, and you can load up your car and drive where ever you want at St John (it's a 30 min trip). Or you can take the faster (15-20 min) passenger only ferry and use a taxi or rent a car at St John. Right behind the condo are tennis courts and a salt water pool. Both looked nice but we did't have time to use them. Steve was very accomodating and made it easy for our last minute trip. The condo isn't new, but it is very roomy, clean and comfortable. Thanks Steve.

I can't say enough wonderful things about the owners of this condo! They were responsive, honest, and very sincere in their desire to help us have a wonderful vacation. The condo itself was beautiful! Big, bright and airy and so clean, with a real beach feel to it. The beach, which is just steps away from the door was spectacular! The trade winds made a day at the beach so pleasant. The grounds of the property were also nice with beautiful mature flowering plantings and a fountain set up in the middle of the property where the Iguanas could sit on the rocks and bask in the sun! I loved the Iguanas and took many close up pictures of them. They did not attack! The beach bar made the best Bushwackers and had entertainment there at night. There was also a little convenience store and a restaurant on the beach. I would give this condo a 10 out of 10 and the owners a 15 out of 10! We can't wait to go back and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Thank you Steve and Honey!

The owners did everything to make sure that the condo was prepared for our arrival. There were 5 travelers in our group and there was definately plenty of space for all of us. However, with beautiful Sapphire Beach right outside the door (literally) we didn't spend much time in the condo. Sapphire Beach is absolutely gorgeous and the trade winds made the temperature perfect. It was the perfect trip for complete relaxation. I wish I was there now!!
