This large, modern detached house is our main residence which we let whilst away on holiday ourselves with up to 6 of our children.
It provides unprecedented comfort and internal space within walking distance (0.7 miles) of the centre of the Cathedral City of Lichfield. Lichfield has a thriving tourist trade and consequently good restaurants, pubs and lively bars abound. Lichfield also offers excellent motorway and rail access to the rest of the UK. London can be reached in 70 mins by Virgin Pendalino train service from Lichfield's Trent Valley station. Return tickets cost as little as £20. Two nearby airports - Birmingham and Nottingham East Midlands - offer access to the rest of Europe and beyond.
The house was constructed in 2006 and has been tastefully but sparingly furnished in a contemporary style, to maintain a relaxing ambience. As the illustration below shows, on the ground floor there are three reception rooms and large kitchen with breakfast-dining for eight people. A large inner hall, in addition to the outer lobby area, contributes to the feeling of internal space. On the first floor there are four bedrooms (two ensuite) and additionally a family bathroom. On the 2nd floor are a further two large bedrooms and a further shower room. Outside there is a detached double garage, with off street parking for several vehicles and two modest lawned areas with outdoor seating and gas powered barbeque equipment.
Included in the rental are two changes of linnen / towling per week and a final clean, so there's no time consuming 'making good' required before departure. Two mobile phones with free UK calls are also available.
Whether you're seeking a base for business (the UK's National Exhibition Centre is 25 minutes by road) or pleasure, you're sure to feel at home.
