Just 5 minutes off of Bee Caves Road (2244) between Capital of Texas Hwy.(360) and 71 on the "close in" side of the lake. Very close to One World Theater, and brand new Austin Galleria Mall and Shops yet ONLY ABOUT 15 MINUTES from ZILKER, 6th STREET and all that the "Live Music Capital of the World" has to offer.
Lake Austin is great for kayaking, tubing, wake boarding early morning water skiing and year round fishing. Kids (and adults!) will enjoy the sandy beach and shallow swim area for hours on end. Get out on the water in one of the TWO KAYAKS or CONOE provided~ bring your own boat or rent one.

Many Bass and Perch have been caught right off the dock which is also frequented by a family of swans during cooler weather, and ducks during warmer weather, that come very close to eat torn pieces of bread tossed their way. Fireflies flash at night and there are very few (if any) mosquitoes due to the cool breeze that constantly blows off of the water keeping the air several degrees cooler than other areas. The "stars at night~ are BIG and BRIGHT!" from this HEAVENLY spot! You won't want to miss hanging out on the deck at night~ make a wish on a SHOOTING STAR!!
Safe and reliable, Cabela's 12' Premium Mooring Whips are provided for your boat on the lower deck right by the sandy beach and shallow swim area for easy coming and going. The mooring whips are designed to secure one boat alongside the dock (up to 23 feet or 5,000 lbs.) Only one boat is allowed.
Access and use of the waterfront Neighborhood Park is available for our guests! Includes 25 meter pool, baby pool* (seasonal hours/operation, closed Mondays) Basketball and volleyball courts, horse shoe pit, playscape and picnic tables with charcoal grills are open year round.
There are 3 boat slips on the property. One is used by the owner; the other 2 are used by respectful, courteous friends who occasionally access their boats by using a dedicated pathway along the perimeter of the property.

Why the Owner Chose Austin Lake Estates
There is just something about being near that water that is good for the soul. The big trees on the property are an awesome presence. The Pecan tree in the front of the house is a magnificent mature tree that puts out more delicious pecans each year than we can harvest. This is why we also have many fat and happy squirrels! The huge tree near the back patio is about 200 years old and is a reminder that some things last longer than we do. The beach and the decks are so enjoyable that we believe the experience ranks with almost any place on earth.
It is our pleasue to share this slice of heaven with other families and their friends. We lived there for five years,enjoyed every minute and look forward to moving back one day. We consider it a gift to share with other families and hope that you will love it as much as we do!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for a fabulous getaway weekend!! Myself and 5 of my girlfriends spent a weekend at this spectacular, fun, lake house. We had the greatest time and part of it was bc of the set-up that Kathy had all laid out for our stay. Boat rentals, restaurants, directions to grocery store, and the list goes on.... Best spot on the lake, with a cute little beach area built-in with lounge chairs, a sun deck, games for everyone to play. Their lot has plenty of room to play washers, bocce, and grill out on the patio. We had more than enough room to sleep with 3beds and 2sleeper sofas, a great tv entertainment area that has an open view to the lake, priceless. We stayed in and cooked dinner at the house one night- kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Plates, glassware, cutting boards,etc... Well, must I say more. Fabulous!

My wife & I, son and daughter-in-law, and their two boys ages 4 & 2 just enjoyed the most wonderful vacation at this Austin Lake-front home, Two spacious decks and a beach on the property made a magnificent base from which to see the lake and the towering cliffs on the other side. Canoes were available for our use as were all types of games and toys to keep the boys, and we "older children" entertained. An oversized grassy backyard had more than ample room for throwing baseballs and footballs and playing lawn games. The youngsters had a memorable time feeding swans and ducks and playing on the beach with their sand toys. After dinner and s'mores cooked on the outdoor grill, we settled in two different living areas to welcome the evening. The sleeping areas were very comfortable and roomy, and we grandparents spoiled ourselves by sleeping later than usual. Major supermarkets and restaurants as well as a variety of Austin entertainment venues were within a few miles drive, but we spent as much time as we could enjoying the property and fresh air and water. The Owner, could not have been more pleasant and helpful, and made herself available in case there was anything else that we might need. For a group or family vacation, this place is hard to beat. We built some cherished family memories this past week, and can't wait to try it again.

What an amazing week long lake vacation we had. This property is located on a great place on Lake Austin! The house was very clean with all amenities needed and very roomy for a two bedroom. Our kids loved the beautiful backyard, beach area and fishing off the dock. We saw ducks every morning and some deer a few nights in the backyard. We spent most of our days skiing, wakeboarding, tubing and having lunch/dinner at Ski Shores and Hula Hut. Golfing is very close by as well. The property owners were great hosts. They made sure our stay was as relaxing and pleasant as possible. If you are looking for a great lake property, then the Lake Austin Beach House is for you!

Great place to rent for family & friends! Very kid friendly and plenty of room. we had 10 people (4 adults & rest children) and there was plenty of room! The pool and other amenties next door was great also!

This house is located in a wonderful spot in Austin. It is close to all that Austin has to offer while still giving you a rest from a busy life. The house is very large for a 2-2. It comes well equiped with everything you need: pots, pans, dishes, beach towels, movies, games, sand toys, water toys, kayaks and a canoe. The house is also a very short walk (even with young children) to the pool and playground. During our trip in June, the pool had 2 life guards which is always great! The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this house!

The lake home was PERFECT for our family gathering. Watching the grandchildren play on the beach with the toys was the highlight. But having the boat close by, the fire pit for marshmellows and the big grassy lawn for sports was just wonderful. The four outdoor seating areas--patio, upper boat deck, lower boat deck and beach chairs let all of us spread out for quiet times and good visits. Raft floating with the gentle waves was fun and kayaking to explore the shoreline across the lake exciting. We were on the go with our three generations. We grilled at night and never left the house except by boat to explore and ski the wonderful lake. We even went by boat to Ski SHores for burgers once. It was a retreat our family will remember forever. The feeling of being out in the wild and secluded together was so relaxing. Carol H., Dallas, Texas

This year we traded our annual beach trip for a trip to the lake. We feel like we made a great decision. The man-made beach was great for the kids. Momo (Grandma) spent hours down there relaxing in a chair while the boys played in the sand making various versions of castles. The upper deck was awesome. A great place for relaxing, reading and watching all the skiers. The boys spent a lot of time casting off of the dock. The croquet game was set up on the second day and not taken down until the last minute. Even our two year old selected his favorite yellow colored ball. Thanks for the movies and games provided. We even put together a "glow in the dark" puzzle. It was awesome. We took advantage of the fireplace on the beach and had S'Mores one evening. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners and learned just how nice they were when we realized that we had left "Curious George" behind. He was returned safe and sound after traveling with the family. Thanks for another year of great memories.

We LOVED it! This was one of the best annual family vacations we have had. The beach and toys were perfect for the kids while the adults liked the deck (upper and lower) and the patio. We had a great time here at the lake. The beach is perfect. The boys really enjoyed it. The upper deck was very relaxing. The boys enjoyed the washers and croquet set.
