My wife and I were building a home and needed a place to stay until the home was completed. We were extremely lucky to have found this beautiful place on Lake Austin. The owner Kathy has created the most peaceful and serene place in all of Austin. Gazing from the master bedroom room, living room or kitchen window gives you an opportunity to look on beautiful Lake Austin. The bonus is seeing the beautiful colors of the lake and surrounding hills at sunrise, midday and sunset. Go sit on the dock at the edge of the lake and watch all of nature. I promise you this will be the most relaxing stay you will ever experience.

Owner response:We were very fortunate to have these guests for two and a half months from December to mid February! They took such good care of everything and really enjoyed all the winter time beauty of Lake Austin. It was our pleasure to have them! Most people think of Lake Austin as the "summer fun place to be" ~and it really is... but in the winter time, there is only the occasional fisherman out on the lake and you feel like you have the place all to yourself. The natural beauty is stunning year round. The house is cozy in the cooler months and the big windows let the outdoors in!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for a fabulous getaway weekend!! Myself and 5 of my girlfriends spent a weekend at this spectacular, fun, lake house. We had the greatest time and part of it was bc of the set-up that Kathy had all laid out for our stay. Boat rentals, restaurants, directions to grocery store, and the list goes on.... Best spot on the lake, with a cute little beach area built-in with lounge chairs, a sun deck, games for everyone to play. Their lot has plenty of room to play washers, bocce, and grill out on the patio. We had more than enough room to sleep with 3beds and 2sleeper sofas, a great tv entertainment area that has an open view to the lake, priceless. We stayed in and cooked dinner at the house one night- kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Plates, glassware, cutting boards,etc... Well, must I say more. Fabulous!

Great Family Vacation Spot

My wife & I, son and daughter-in-law, and their two boys ages 4 & 2 just enjoyed the most wonderful vacation at this Austin Lake-front home, Two spacious decks and a beach on the property made a magnificent base from which to see the lake and the towering cliffs on the other side. Canoes were available for our use as were all types of games and toys to keep the boys, and we "older children" entertained. An oversized grassy backyard had more than ample room for throwing baseballs and footballs and playing lawn games. The youngsters had a memorable time feeding swans and ducks and playing on the beach with their sand toys. After dinner and s'mores cooked on the outdoor grill, we settled in two different living areas to welcome the evening. The sleeping areas were very comfortable and roomy, and we grandparents spoiled ourselves by sleeping later than usual. Major supermarkets and restaurants as well as a variety of Austin entertainment venues were within a few miles drive, but we spent as much time as we could enjoying the property and fresh air and water. The Owner, could not have been more pleasant and helpful, and made herself available in case there was anything else that we might need. For a group or family vacation, this place is hard to beat. We built some cherished family memories this past week, and can't wait to try it again.

What an amazing week long lake vacation we had. This property is located on a great place on Lake Austin! The house was very clean with all amenities needed and very roomy for a two bedroom. Our kids loved the beautiful backyard, beach area and fishing off the dock. We saw ducks every morning and some deer a few nights in the backyard. We spent most of our days skiing, wakeboarding, tubing and having lunch/dinner at Ski Shores and Hula Hut. Golfing is very close by as well. The property owners were great hosts. They made sure our stay was as relaxing and pleasant as possible. If you are looking for a great lake property, then the Lake Austin Beach House is for you!

Great Family Destination

This house is located in a wonderful spot in Austin. It is close to all that Austin has to offer while still giving you a rest from a busy life. The house is very large for a 2-2. It comes well equiped with everything you need: pots, pans, dishes, beach towels, movies, games, sand toys, water toys, kayaks and a canoe. The house is also a very short walk (even with young children) to the pool and playground. During our trip in June, the pool had 2 life guards which is always great! The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this house!

Great place to rent for family & friends! Very kid friendly and plenty of room. we had 10 people (4 adults & rest children) and there was plenty of room! The pool and other amenties next door was great also!

The lake home was PERFECT for our family gathering. Watching the grandchildren play on the beach with the toys was the highlight. But having the boat close by, the fire pit for marshmellows and the big grassy lawn for sports was just wonderful. The four outdoor seating areas--patio, upper boat deck, lower boat deck and beach chairs let all of us spread out for quiet times and good visits. Raft floating with the gentle waves was fun and kayaking to explore the shoreline across the lake exciting. We were on the go with our three generations. We grilled at night and never left the house except by boat to explore and ski the wonderful lake. We even went by boat to Ski SHores for burgers once. It was a retreat our family will remember forever. The feeling of being out in the wild and secluded together was so relaxing. Carol H., Dallas, Texas

We LOVED it! This was one of the best annual family vacations we have had. The beach and toys were perfect for the kids while the adults liked the deck (upper and lower) and the patio. This year we traded our annual beach trip for a trip to the lake. We feel like we made a great decision. The man-made beach was great for the kids. Momo (Grandma) spent hours down there relaxing in a chair while the boys played in the sand making various versions of castles. The upper deck was awesome. A great place for relaxing, reading and watching all the skiers. The boys spent a lot of time casting off of the dock. The croquet game was set up on the second day and not taken down until the last minute. Even our two year old selected his favorite yellow colored ball. Thanks for the movies and games provided. We even put together a "glow in the dark" puzzle. It was awesome. We took advantage of the fireplace on the beach and had S'Mores one evening. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners and learned just how nice they were when we realized that we had left "Curious George" behind. He was returned safe and sound after traveling with the family. Thanks for another year of great memories.

We had a great time here at the lake. The beach is perfect. The boys really enjoyed it. The upper deck was very relaxing. The boys enjoyed the washers and croquet set. We had such a lovely stay that we didn't want to leave. Clean and comfortable with an amazing (and private) yard, entrance to the lake, and bi-level deck. The house is not huge but no matter, with the outside, there is more than enough room to get some space. My two year old son absolutely loved it , he was literally naked (except for a life vest the rental provides) for 5 days straight. The owner even got us a sitter so we could hit the town, and boy did we! One note: There is only one room that would be considered private, otherwise you're pretty much all in it together (which turned out to be a lot of fun regardless!)

Thanks for a wonderful time at the Beach House. It was perfect. Relaxed and beautiful. we sat on the upper deck and watched the sun set. Had coffee in the morning listening to the birds sing and talking to the ducks that came up to join us for breakfast.. We kayacked, canoed rented a boat for sightseeing and my daughter and her fiancee waterskied for the first time. We enjoyed Austin, but the best time was at the beach house. We had two families with kids ranging from 5-12 yrs. old staying at the Beach House. It was a perfect choice as there was a lot of outdoor activities such as playing at the beach, kayaking or playing in the yard which kept them busy our entire stay. And the movies & board games were great for evenings. The adults relaxed on the deck and the location was great for eating out or ordering takeout. Overall our stay was great for everyone.

We rented this house for a weekend in January. It was perfect for what we needed, a nice home that could fit 10 people. The house has two great indoor spots for a family to hang out and outside is a backyard big enough for any outdoor activities. The two story dock is a great place to eat your BBQ (that you can cook on the propane grill provided) and enjoy the sun. The owner of the house was always available for questions and made payment and access to the house very easy. If you are looking for a great spot in austin that is on the lake this is the house you should rent.

Lake Austin Perfect Weekend Escape

We enjoyed our weekend stay---the accommodations were just right for our extended family. We chose a fall weekend and were not disappointed. The cool evenings and warm afternoons were just right! There were so many unexpected touches like luxurious linens and big thick towels -lots of them! We enjoyed having dinner and breakfast together while enjoying the expansive view of the the water. Our grandchildren were surprised by the armoire full of board games. The master bedroom is romantic and has a gorgeous water view. My expectations for a comfortable queen bed were more than met. My son's family stayed in the huge second bedroom. The two queen beds were perfect for them. The grandchildren were thrilled with the sandy beach exactly as shown in the photos. They built sandcastles, swam and fished off the dock with grandpa. We also roasted marshmellows down by the water in the fire pit. We all enjoyed early morning coffee on the patio. The owner called during our stay to make sure that everything was going well. It was a great escape from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives and we plan to come back soon.
