Go "off-the-grid" in a barn loft nestled at the top of a mountain pass in the Green Mountains. Lose yourself and relax as our guest in the pure beauty and remoteness of our private valley.

Newly renovated one bedroom loft with fully equipped kitchen, stone tile bath, and Vermont Castings gas stove. Sunshine pours into this beautifully crafted rustic home. Soak up the sun on your private stone patio or float dreamily on the swimming pond.

Located at the end of a dirt road, on scenic farmland. Enjoy uninterrupted expansive views. This home is both remote and connected -- it's way out in the middle of the woods, but just over four miles from Rochester, a village with fine dining, funky cafes, tennis courts, and art galleries.

Hikers and mountain bikers enjoy direct access to an extensive network of trails that lead to the summit of Mt. Cushman, elevation 2,750 feet. Or take a short walk from the door to nearby lookouts, moose paths and beaver ponds.

Enjoy several spots in the nearby rivers for swimming, cliff diving, tubing, or fly-fishing. We are 20 minutes from Silver Lake, a perfect spot for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. 30 minutes from Killington, Sugarbush, and the Green Mountain National Golf Course.

If you'd like, we be happy to help you venture off the beaten path. Ask us about secluded swimming holes, agri-tourism, berry picking, open artists' studios.

Furnished with one queen-sized bed, additional cots are available. Well-trained dogs welcome, with prior approval and pet deposit.

Beautiful and Peaceful Property

I spent four wonderful nights at this awesome property. It was very off the beaten path which was just what I wanted. It was also a great base for exploring all of central Vermont. I particularly loved that it was solar powered. The garter snake that seemed to live on the step outside the door was a bit disconcerting but harmless. My dog absolutely loved being there and being on vacation in general. Thanks for being pet friendly!

This property is a dream. Picture-perfect; renovated farmhouse and barn, pond, fields, streams, and totally secluded. The barn had very cool furnishings and was the perfect size for two people (and our german shepherd.) Our dog loved the long nature walks and hated to come back to the city. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful, utterly peaceful stay in the barn! We saw fireflies for the first time (magical), visited the meadows and beaver pond, walked to the top of the mountain, (Bunk-er Hill, "elev. Pretty high"), listened to a concert on Rochester Town Green, which was performed in spite of a deluge, with all the audience sitting in their cars! Vermont is green, green, green, and very beautiful, and you have a little piece of paradise at the end of Camp Brook Road. It was so quiet -- just the wind rustling in the leaves and the sound of bird calls and frogs. We walked, read, swung in the hammock, looked at the stars. We feel filled up…Thank you for sharing your land with us! The barn is beautiful -- the floors are gorgeous, the bed is sooooo comfortable, we thought the furnishings made from the weathered barn wood were beautiful -- everything is perfect, a feast for the senses. From two Canadians who'll be dreaming of the scent of night air in Vermont…

Thank you for a very relaxing and enjoyable week in your barn home! You guys have done a great job on the barn and the property. We were content to hang out on the patio (or the hammock when the sun got too intense on the pation), before floating in the pond (we got used to the cold water!) We read, ate good food, and completely enjoyed the peace of this special spot! If you ever want to sell, let us know! Our dogs loved the property as well. Thanks for letting us bring the furry family members. Beyond the property we especially ejoyed the great rtisan cheeses, strawberries, local breweries and ice cream! We'd love to come back for another week of "off the grid" life!

Very pleasant. Sunny location with patio overlooking meadows, adjacent to walking paths through the woods. Comfortably furnished. Would be great to to use either as a retreat or a base for local excursions.

What a treat to stay in this gorgeous place! The cabin is spotless and charming. Every detail, from the comfortable beds and luxury linens to the cozy wood stove, is perfect. Need I mention the natural beauty all around. Vermont, in its glorious color last October, was breathtaking. I can't wait to return for the other seasons!

I had a wonderful stay in your beautiful mountaintop getaway. The loft has been beautifully renovated and is cozy and rustic. And the stars were amazing -- so close it was like you could touch them. I actually saw a beaver in the pond nearby. Just for a second, but I heard a tail slap and a splash. Thanks also for welcoming my Goldendoodle, Charlie. We felt very much at home and that swimming hole you suggested was the perfect spot for us to take a swim together. I would love to come back again someday.
