We were absolutely pleased with our stay at Mark's Ark. It was perfect for our family. Plenty of room for all of us to be together. The arrangement of the bedrooms allows for private and quiet times too. Can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

There were 12 of us church ladies staying here ,we enjoyed the house and surroundings very much ,we would come back here again . very quite ans enjoyable.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Everything was just as we saw it on the website and more. The house was well stocked with things that we have normally had to add to in other homes we've rented. And even though this house is not right in the middle of the action, it was still easy enough to get to a small grocery and larger one when we needed it. The property was definitely clean and well-maintained and the owner helpful in answering all our questions. We most definitely would recommend this property. Since we have been to the general area often, we know where all the attractions, etc. are located, and it is nice not to be in the middle of that traffic and if we want to go to those, we would just plan the day and make the time. It fit our needs perfectly and we hope to come back again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I highly recommend this home. I love the wrap around screened porch with hanging beds and rocking chairs! The kitchen is fantastic. The bay is right outside the door. We loved the sea kayaks and canoe. Grocery store is a hike so come prepared - you don't want to miss time at the house running to the store. Owner is next door and very helpful.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The pictures on this page do not do justice to how beautiful the house is. It's huge, well-stocked and perfect for large or medium-sized parties. The sunrises and sunsets we saw from the back porch were amazing. I couldn't possibly recommend staying in this house enough.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

In the new world of beach condos, lazy rivers, crowded restaurants, and traffic, Mark's Ark and Perdido Beach remain much like the beach life I remember from the sixties. The house is immaculate and comfortably slept 10-12 every night. The layout provided privacy at night but plenty of shared space by day. Kitchen is a cook's dream. With linens (including beach towels) and beach toys provided, packing was lighter. Kayaks and canoes were a real bonus for all ages. Very few checkout requirements: start first load of linens, start dishwasher, take out garbage. No climbing in the car for the long ride home, already hot and exhausted from cleaning! So glad this family is willing to share this wonderful place.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at Mark's Arc and enjoyed every moment. The house is beautiful and comfortable and has all the amenities you need. The view of the bay is wonderful, the wrap around porch is comfortable and relaxing. My family included three generations and we cooked wonderful meals, played board games and enjoyed sitting by the fireplace. It was joy. Thanks for letting us enjoy your beautiful home and we will definitely be coming back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was our third visit to this wonderful house. It is a great place for our family to come together and make lasting memories. We are making our trips to "Marks Ark" a tradition that hopefully will carry on for years. We loved this house. It was everything it promised, clean, comfortable, loved the screened porch!!!! We highly recommend it and hope to come back. Photos are accurate, great for a large family or 2 families. Used the kayaks and canoes, enjoyed watching the water. Kitchen was fabulous and you can seat 14 for dinner.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed here the week (June 21-28). We had family & friends coming in and out throughout the week. We had a great quiet, peaceful, relaxing week. We enjoyed the layout of the house. Wonderful piece of paradise found at "Marks Ark". Old world charm of what I remember as a child yet full of every possible modern convenience you could ask for. Great for all age's with plenty to do for all or, just bring great music and books and forget everything else. If you desire "laid back" with just about everything you could find on the beach (minus people and traffic)this is your place. Wonderful owner and neighbor!! I took my kids (ages 22, 18, 16 & 4) along with some friends to Perdido Beach for Spring Break. It could not have been better. The house was absolutely amazing and even with 13 of us in the house - there was plenty of room. We cooked some great meals in the big kitchen - did smores and flew kites. The kids enjoyed kayaking and canoeing during the day. Priscilla was very helpful with where to get fresh seafood. It was the best vacation we have had and we look forward to coming back! WOW!!!!!! I don't know any other way to describe this house. We've rented lots of coastal properties and this was our first "Bay" vacation and it was the best!! This house is awesome and it is stocked to the hilt. The owners strive to help you have a great vacation. It was wonderful to be able to canoe and kayak on the bay, the ping pong was fun and relaxing on the porch was wonderful. We truly enjoyed our vacation here. The house is beautiful and very clean. We canoed, kayaked, fished and enjoyed the water. There was 13 of us all together but there was plenty of room for all of us. The water is perfect for small children. We will definitely vacation here again. We stayed here Aug 07 with two other families, all of us with kids from 2 to 7 years old. The shallow water in front of the house was perfect for all the kids. We had a sand castle building contest and took many kayak trips into the bay. Once the kids were in bed the adults cooked fabulous diners in the huge kitchen and drank wine around the bonfire. We stayed here with 3 families,6 adults and 5 kids. it was such a fun experience. There was enough room for everyone to come together, yet have their own space if needed. I highly recommend it to families with young children. The bay is so much fun to explore. it is easy to watch the children swim and run around.
