Short But Sweet
Though our stay was short (too short) we felt right at home in this clean and breezy unit. The beach is just steps away and we took advantage of it as much as we could.

Not good for sleeping...
Not good for sleeping...
PROS: The condo itself was upgraded and clean, as was the property. The beach out front was pretty. CONS: Bed is VERY uncomfortable (and small if you're tall), the livingroom futon is terrible for sleeping, its VERY uncomfortable (even though they say its newer). The bedroom is backed up to the parking lot and you hear people and cars coming and going all night. Bedroom is VERY NOISY from all the traffic on Haleiwa Rd.,( which is about 30 yards from the property). All the locals use that road to cut through town and the traffic is nonstop. There was NO view because the tree (as it states) was in full bloom, but its also grown a lot since that photo. I think this is the only unit that is totally blocked by this tree (?). I would only recommend this unit if an uncomfortable bed and traffic all night doesn't bother you, maybe try for a unit in the front building instead, its further from the street and parking lot noise. The agent was very nice though.

Manager response: There is a beautiful Plumeria tree in the front that has blocked a portion of the ocean view during the last high growth season. The Management has recently committed to keeping it pruned. During winter months, when the leaves drop, much of the ocean view is restored. On the plus side, this tree is not only beautiful with fragrant flowers, but offers an element of privacy deterring beach goers from peering into the condo. There is a brand new futon with springs in the living room - it is more comfortable that the traditional futons by far. The queen bed in the master has a 2" high grade foam topper. The owners prefer a hard bed so we have tried to meet in the middle. The parking lot separates the condo from the road by about a 100'. Haleiwa Road is a road and not near the main Kam highway however there will be some periodic traffic noise. Closing the windows and turning on the fan usually works just fine. UPDATE: As of 1/2013, the tree has been pruned back and ocean front view has been restored. Enjoy!
