My husband and I stayed in this house for 3 months during the winter, through the holidays. It was absolutely perfect! The weather in OBX in the winter is a little chilly but it is a great time of year to be there. Every thing is peaceful, you can go on long walks on the beach for miles before you see another person, all of the things like jeep tours are easy to book and less expensive. Corolla is such a wonderful place filled with really great people in the off season! The house was amazing, we could stay there and not leave for days if we really wanted to. It has everything you need to live for a week or 3 months! We even decorated for the holidays when our family came to visit. We loved the new xbox with kinnect! It was nice for the days where it was just a little too cold to be outside for long, we could still get some activity in. The owners were really nice and attentive to anything we needed during our stay, and have done a really nice job with the house. The hottub was a great bonus, even on the coldest nights, and while we did not get to use the pool, there is a lot of room for a lot of people in the pool area, lots of deck chairs, a nice grill and a nice table and chairs. The walk to the beach is fast - just around the corner and you are on the sand, we could hear the ocean from the deck. All in all this is the perfect house for anyone looking for a great place to stay, you won't regret it.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Stayed here over Spring break and had a wonderful time. Great house, clean, kids loved XBOX and big screen TV. We on the other hand took to the hot tub with wine in hand. Beach is an easy walk..beach access very close. Reverse floor plan with kitchen/dining/living room and king BR on top floor with ocean views. Kids enjoyed the basketball and volleyball too. Good shopping around and grocery close by. Spent a day visiting Kitty Hawk close by and the museum...great for kids. Hope to be back in the summer.
