We couldn't have asked for a more ideal vacation apartment. It more than met our expectations. The location was ideal, with an unobstructed and beautiful view of the Mediterranean and Nice coastline. It was a walkable distance or short bus ride to the center of town. The apartment was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable as well as furnished with every convenience we could want. It is well-situated for exploring the towns of Nice, Monaco, Cannes, Eze and other attractions in the area by bus or car. The front of the apartment faces the sea and we enjoyed walking the Promenade, watching the many bikers, runners, and strollers that frequent it. Behind the apartment, on busy Californie, are neighborhood shops, restaurants, and supermarkets all within walking distance. Several bus lines run along both Promenade des Anglais and on Californie, and one-way bus rides are 1 Euro, so transportation is both easy to use and inexpensive. We took a 1 1/2 hour bus ride to Cannes one day and the fare was only 1 Euro. There is also a bike sharing system called Velo Bleu which allows you to rent a bike for an hour up to a year with drop-off at 120 bike stands. There is a stand across the street from the apartment. We thank the owner for his generosity and thoughtfulness in providing initial refreshments and food staples so that we didn't have to go the the supermarket immediately upon arrival. We recommend this property highly and would rent this place again if we were in the area.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing.
