we stayed from july 25th-aug 2nd. the weather was lovely so we were able to use all the facilities. the house is wonderful with ample space for different activities to go on at the same time. the home owners living next door proved to be helpful on 2 occasions. plenty of privacy. proximity to track and downtown is less than a 10 minute car drive. i would highly recommend this house to families, or couples looking to unwind.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We stayed at the Rita Hayworth house the first week in July for the second year and had a wonderful time. We, as grandparents, as well as our children and grandchildren were able to enjoy it's amenities. We ate in the local restaurants, visited the town of Lake George, only 20 minutes away, toured Saratoga Springs and mostly relaxed on the wonderful grounds. The weather was very hot and we all enjoyed the large pool. The house had such warmth and a calming effect. You could feel that many good times were shared there. We hope to return at the same time next year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We rented the Hayworth House for a week and highly recommned it to anyone who loves the country life and wants to get away from it all but still be a stone's throw from all of the magic of the Saratoga Racetrack. The property owners are amazing and are nearby and available to address any questions or needs you may have. The house is spotless clean inside and out looks EXACTLY like the photographs, so there are no surprises here.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

8 of us stayed in the house. It was very pleasant house to stay in. It was clean and well maintained. The owners live next door and were very accommodating and helpful as needed. the house has central air which i wasn't expecting and was a nice surprise. The pool was nice and clean. We went to severl area restaurants including old byron and longfellow Inn. Pricey but nice. Also went to PJ's BBQ on Rt 9 which had excellent food at reasonable prices. Definitely check that out (the owners recommended it too). We did lots of fishing while there and the lake is a wonderful fishery. We did catch decent fish right from the shore (helps if you wade out a little). Also note that you need to cross the street to get to the lake (and down a bunch of steps) but it is fairly private (gravel) beach area once you get there. The only thing that would have made it better for us would be if you could dock the boat there rather than pulling it out of the water every day. There are many parks, etc in the area plus the casino and track but not within walking distance. We did most of the shopping at Walmart superstore which is off exit 15 on rt 87 (about 10 mins away). We would definitely go again and/or recommend to a friend.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.
