This cozy one-bed apartment is on quiet rue Greneta, just off rue Montorgueil, a bustling market street with several excellent restaurants and cafés.

The apartment is off the street, in an 18th century building. All the windows look out on a leafy courtyard. Recently renovated to a very high standard, it has double-glazed windows throughout.

It features a bedroom, living room with bar-style kitchen, bathroom and a nook for working, complete with a computer with free high-speed internet access. The apartment is ideal for two people. The sofa in the living room converts to a double bed so the apartment can sleep 4 people comfortably. It's on the 4th floor (5th floor American; no lift, sorry), so there is lots of light.

The apartment is in an area that boasts one of the best selections of restaurants of any quarter in Paris, but don’t underestimate how tempted you will be by the fresh produce on display on rue Montorgueil to try your hand at some home cooking!

It's very central – ten minutes' walk to the Louvre, Pompidou Centre, Pont Neuf or the Picasso Museum. It's just five minutes from Chatelet RER station, the fast train service to the airport. Three minutes to metro Étienne Marcel or Sentier.

  • We stayed for a week in October 2009 and loved the location of this small, but very practical apartment. The place was spotless and everything was in working order. What it lacked in view (it's in a courtyard) it made up in its unbelievable location. You simply cannot ask for better! We spent a full afternoon in Le Marais, another prime arrondissement and were happy to "come home" to Montorgueil. We recommend the Greneta apartment without hesitation.

  • My husband, daughter and I stayed in Greneta in June 2009 and loved every minute. We were there for only one week and found the location very handy to the Louvre, Metro stations, shops and restaurants. The stairs would be tricky for elderly people carrying their bags up but we found it no problem. Before we left we even managed to nearly get to the top before the light went out. Having the computer there was very handy and the phone made it easy to communicate with our friends. It had all that we needed especially a cork screw. Being new to booking online apartments we found Elaine very helpful. Thanks for your patience Elaine, we had a lovely holiday.

  • We stayed for a week in this apartment in Feb 2009. The apartment is light and airy as it is on the top floor, and not at all noisy as it overlooks a courtyard. It is simply but pleasantly furnished; the bed is comfortable. The bathroom has a good modern shower. There is a computer supplied with free internet access, which is excellent for getting information on what's on in Paris. The apartment's location is fantastic, just a few steps away from all the little food shops, bakeries, cafes and brasseries in Rue Montorgueil. It is also easy walking distance to e.g. the Louvre, the Pompidou centre etc, or there are several metro stations nearby if you prefer. The whole booking process was simple and worked well. Recommended.

  • Comment text: We had a fantastic long weekend in the Grenata apprtment and couldn't of asked for more. The location, was unbeatable, and took the pressure off finding somewhere for dinner every night as youo have so many excellent restuarants on your doorstep to choose from. The appartment was clean and very comfortable a little haven away from the busy Parisien streets. Slept like a log, need to change my matress at home now!!!!!!!!! Will definetly be coming to stay again. Thank you Elaine, your recommendations were spot on!

  • We loved our stay at Rue Grenata. The neighbourhood was wonderful - great restaurants, shops and people watching. One night, there was a music festival and we saw no less than 12 different bands all within walking distance! It's also very close to a transit hub which we used to get to Versailles, airport, Montmarte, etc.

  • The Greneta apartment is in the best location. We really felt like native Parisiennes. To be so close to everything and to be able to walk everywhere was wonderful. The climb to the 5th floor was a bit daunting at first, but we got used to it. The apartment is well equipped and bright and sunny. We are glad we found it. Elaine was very helpful.

  • This apartment was exactly as advertised. Close to Rue Montorgueil for the freshest food and most colorful working market in Paris. Easy Metro access or a ten minute walk to the Louvre. The location is ideal. Clean, quiet and safe.
