Upon entering through the Villa's grand doors, you will encounter a Balinese paradise featuring a rock wall and waterfall with stone steps leading you to the entrance to the first floor of the Penthouse. This floor features an open air living room, dining room and gourmet kitchen along with its two master suites. The design of the Penthouse allows for stunning views from each of these rooms, you can witness the gorgeous Manuel Antonio bay and experience the wildlife whether taking a shower, enjoying a cocktail, or lounging in the bedroom. Each master suite (one King, one Queen) are spacious with private elegant bathrooms with masterful designs creating the illusion of showering in the midst of the tropics, spa products,closets, flat screen TV/DVDs, luxury linens, ipod docking stations and marvelous breezes throughout.

Why the Owner Chose Manuel Antonio
To us, Manuel Antonio is as close to paradise as it gets. Our dream was to someday live in a tropical haven, near the beach and somewhere not too far from "home" (California). Having traveled nearly all the continents and vacationed on many of the worlds' best islands and tropical destinations, upon arriving in Manuel Antonio in November of 2003, we knew we had to live there someday. Not only was the place magical, the views heavenly, the beaches some of the best we've ever encountered but the friendliness of the people of Costa Rica, the emphasis on preserving their beautiful country, we knew when we arrived that we were hooked and that we wanted to make Costa Rica our next home. We found a gorgeous property with some of the best views we have encountered, bought it and started building. With Bali being another favorite destination of ours, we wanted to bring what we loved about Bali to Costa Rica--from the feeling of living outdoors to using natural materials and woods and stones to the top notch service they provide their guests. Our architect did a beautiful job taking our vision and in creating Villa Perezoso (named for the resident sloth), with every room having distinctive ocean and jungle views. We travelled to Bali to have all the furniture and accessories custom built for the property and had it transported to Costa Rica. It was a labor of love building it from the ground up and we love the finished product as do our guests.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
What we love most about the property is its uniqueness. From the views, to the monkeys, sloths and birds who frequent the property, to the wonderful staff, to the extra touches we provide for our guests. We built the property as an investment property specifically designed for the comfort of accomodating guests. From the high thread count linens and plush towels and down comforters, to the flowers in every room, all the amenities one could need being available, is what our guests say have them wanting to return again and again. The BEST thing however, is the staff. Unlike any other villa, the property was built with a separate live in quarters for the house manager who has been with us for years (we hired him at the beginning of the construction)and he is available 24/7 to meet any and all of your needs. His warm smile, contagious charm , his desire to please and his knowledge about the area and services, along with the chef is what our guests say makes the stay perfect. And as far as our brilliant chef ...he too has a wonderful personality and a great talent in the kitchen and he is part of our staff (all the other villas offer this at an extra cost). What our guests love about him (you can read more on our testimonials page on our website) is that the shopping, cooking and clean up is all taken care of by him! A true vacation experience (and his top notch, delicious food is better than most of the restaurants)! We also love that nature beckons right outside, I personally love the monkey visits and am always excited on seeing a "perezoso" in the nearby guarumo tree. If I could pick out two of my favorite things about Villa Perezoso is 1) the staff and how they spoil us and our guests and 2) the openness of each of the rooms (especially the bathrooms with floor to ceiling glass doors that open up allowing you to shower looking out to the vast jungle and pacific ocean. Its a slice of paradise found.

I just returned from a 1 week stay at the Penthouse at Villa Perezoso where I went to celebrate my 50th Birthday with my sweetheart. It truly was the most unbelievable trip of a lifetime! The Penthouse is exquisitely decorated and appointed, the location is fantastic, the Concierge, Victor, is the most generous, attentive, caring and kind person you could hope for. The gourmet Chef, Over, cooked such spectacularly delicious meals with grace and humor, and the housekeeping staff, Cecilia and her crew, managed to keep our chaos tidy and organized without ever being in the way. I wanted an indulgent, pampered and romantic experience with my sweetie for my 50th and that's exactly what I got. We both left our time there feeling rejuvenated, replenished, pampered, indulged and very well taken care of. It couldn't possibly have been a better experience! I highly, highly recommend it!!!!!

My husband and I recently stayed at Villa Perezoso and give it a five star rating. The property was lovely as described and shown on the listing. The views were spectacular. The property was maintained in excellent shape. We were well taken care of by the owner and manager. They answered all our questions and gave information on the area. This is our fourth trip to Quepos and we have seen so much of it we just wanted to stay and relax in this wonderful place. We saw howler monkeys just outside in a tree and exotic birds. I love taking pictures and got to get so much just from our balcony. Over, the chef, prepared food that would stand up to any restaurant in Houston and he served it beautifully. Each night we ate on the balcony of the upper level. All of the staff were so warm and friendly they made our stay much more comfortable and pleasant. I would highly recommend staying in this beautifl place and hope we can come back and bring friends and family next time! Thank you Victor, Over, Cecilia and Seda! In the area I would definitely recommend a mangrove tour and we found all the food in the area to be very good. We think Ronnie's is a unique place overlooking the ocean. Not formal but good. Costa Rica is all good - Pura Vida!

The Villa Perezoso Penthouse was all you could ask for and more. The Staff provided us with travel information and attended to all our adventures. The beds were super comfortable and the Bali decor is amazing! I loved it all. It was quite, clean, had fantastic views of the rain forest and lots of wildlife. The bathrooms are luxurious and spacious, I love the open showers! The TV watchers in our group were thrilled with the flat screen TVs in each room! The modern kitchen made our stay easy and comfortable. Beside the decor, views and comfort, the staff really made this trip special and pleasurable.

Our family of 4 including 2 teenage boys were fortunate to have discovered Villa Perezoso. We just returned from a "once in a lifetime" type of vacation and look forward to a future opportunity to return to paradise one day. Everything was just as it looks in the photos and the professional staff of Victor, Chef Over and Cecilia helped make our stay there inviting and unforgettable. The calming and attractive decor adds to the overall ambiance which coexists beautifully with the feel of the outdoors brought in. It literally takes your breath away. Pura Vida!!

We stayed at the Villa Perezoso last January. It was our third trip to Costa Rica but first stay at the Villa. From the moment we arrived to the last good-bys leaving, our stay at the Villa surpassed all our expectations.. The Villa was spacious and decorated with bright colors and warm woods Bali style... All the time we were there we were taken care of by the great staff. We enjoyed fabulous lunches and dinners prepared by the in house chef Over and the drinks prepared and served by the house Manager Victor on the terrace over looking the amazing views. When we think about this vacation those moments jump out and we can not wait to go and visit again.
