Front of Separate Guest House and Green and Green Craftsman Beach House
Location: Summerland, Santa Barbara Area, Central Coast, California, USA (Santa Barbara is only 5 miles away!)
Accommodations: Craftsman Beach House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)
If you want a mile and a half of sandy Southern California beach below you, with “Lookout Park” on the green bluffs above for barbecues and volley-ball games, all of which is 160 steps from your “Green and Green” vacation home, then look no further. This beach house premiers full views of the Pacific’s Channel Islands and easy access to an unsurpassed beach. You will not be disappointed because this is the real seaside location.
This three bedroom home has three full baths. One bedroom/bath with its private deck is in the detached guest house with a luxury Cal-King bed. All three bedrooms are terraced on separate floors, and two have private decks for sunning or reading or contemplating the horizon. All three bedrooms share a full BBQ deck with both privacy and ocean views. It is a one of a kind house, in a one of a kind community. This is where you want to be for your vacation, your honeymoon, your getaway, temporary home, or to write a book!
Located in the small cove of Summerland, adjacent to Montecito which is adjacent to Santa Barbara, this lofty home is only six miles from downtown Santa Barbara. Go downtown when you want to cruise State Street and its 75 restaurants and bars, or travel 45 minutes further to the wine country of the Santa Ynez Valley. If that’s too far, walk 100 steps down to the Summerland Winery on Lillie Ave. and taste fine wine to your heart’s content. Or there is local fine dining – just as it was written up in United Airline’s international magazine, "The Hemispheres," in January 2008.
What’s more is that this south facing home, which on the Santa Barbara coast means ocean facing, as well as the guest house are wired for high–speed wireless Internet, Cox cable TV, flat-screens in your master bedroom and living room, and a third story Master bathroom that allows you to look out 26 unobstructed miles to Santa Cruz Island as you are showering or bathing with a fireplace next to you. It allows you to watch the sun rise in the East or set in the West.
Also, there is a private driveway for parking below the guest house on Varley St. and a private driveway at the top of the property on Banner St. to enter the main house down stairs through double oak carved doors on the entrance patio. (There are six sets of stairs from top to bottom, so please take that into consideration).
Is there anything else you need to be happy? How about a sub-zero and a new cooking range with a convection oven, along with a mahogany bar for dinner parties in the big house? However, there is no smoking indoors, but plenty of deck space for those that smoke.
All rents can be negotiated depending on how many people, when you want to come, and how long you want to stay. More options provide more ways to make your time visiting Summerland into a perfect vacation, whether it is during Summer Solstice, Fiesta, or simply siesta time.
Please view the pictures which partially convey the surrounding beauty and exceptional split level architecture of the living space. With the understanding that pets are many times a big part of the family, their occupancy is negotiable also.
