Why the Owner Chose Bay Head
Having grown up in the area, Bay Head has always stood out as a town that offered a feel of days gone by. Being involved in real estate and construction, we thought it to be a great undertaking to restore this magnificent property to fit back with the other magnificent homes that line Bay Head's streets. We loved the idea of bringing The Bay Head House new life and ensure that it can be used for guests of this great town for another century. With many of the Bed and Breakfast's being converted to single family homes and not many accomodations otherwise, we thought The Bay Head House would fill a need for the town and at the same time let us use the home for our own family reunions and corporate retreats.
The Unique Benefits at this House
There is a wide array of activities that one can undertake while staying in this wonderful town. A simple stroll through this quaint downtown for one block for a stop at Mueller's bakery, proceed the extra block to the beach to pick up some seaglass and watch the surf & sunrise. The activities that we love best are bike rides through town, surfing, sailing, kayaking, bird watching, fishing and relaxing on the front porch! All of which can be done within a stones throw of the house.

The Bay Head House was established in the late 1800's as one of the first accomodations in this wonderful Historic seaside village. In 2010, The Bay Head House was completely renovated/restored to accomodate visitors as it has for over 100 years. We designed the home to have all of the luxuries you could ask for and retaining the design features and style of the turn of the century.

“This was our 1st summer vacation in Bay Head. Previously we’ve stayed in Point Pleasant Beach on a populated street. It was an absolute dream to be in a quieter region. It provided the true rest that many of us deserved. Also, the variety of rooms of this grandiose home allowed for solitude or quieter time. The children had a fabulous time navigating the many halls and rooms. The extra space was a major plus. Then the fireworks display allowed us to view from the 2 different balconies facing Bridge Avenue without the trouble of stepping out. We all had a great time at the Bay Head House! My family came to NJ to celebrate the Christening of my daughter in October 2008. We had plenty of room for all the adults and kids. The party was a success and the house had all the ammenities to host a party of 50+ guests. The location was excellent, close to lots of restaurants, walking distance to the beach, and lots of great shops! We would love to come back again! Thanks for a great time! We love the Bay Head House!!!

We stayed at the Bay Head House from before Thanksgiving until after Christmas (6 wks). Our whole family was with us off and on (20 in all). We all had a fantastic time and there was more than enough room for all. You are within walking distance of a great small town, the beach, shopping and resturants. There is a small park a block away which is great for kids. We have 11 grandchildren (ages 2 -15) and all ages had a ball. My husband and stayed in the house alone, between long weekend with our kids and grandchildren, and it was great. We stayed on the first floor and just closed off the upper floors. I cannot say enough good things about the house, location and the great landlord (Jamie)!!!!!!!! It is a great house for reunions or just a family vaction. Hopefully will get to go back and have as wonderful a time as we had in 2008.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.
