This home in Cardiff worked out perfectly for our 4-family get-together. The outdoor space was huge and great for kids to play and adults to enjoy the ocean views. The house was clean and well-stocked when we arrived. The walk to reach the beach from the house was very do-able, but we ended up driving to transport ourselves and our stuff for our beach day. Would recommend this place to others!

Perfect girls weekend!

We spent my sisters 30th birthday week at Sarah's amazing house! It was a perfect place to stay. We where close to the beach (walking distance) where we would walk every day. Great places to eat close to home. The little market seaside market was close and the kitchen was great to cook all together as a family. I would recommend this rental to anyone and truly look forward to coming back again soon. Thanks again !!

Relaxation at it's best!

While we only live 45 minutes north in Orange County, my husband and I found this to be one of our most relaxing vacations since having our children (ages 5 and 3.5). The kids LOVED this house and the fenced in grass yard...they played for endless hours outside while hubby and I kicked back on the deck with a glass of wine and listened to their giggles as we watched the ocean. Sarah has made this home so welcoming and comfortable (oh my word...the beds!!!! wow!!), that we felt at ease from the moment we arrived. We were truly able to exhale and take in the beauty surrounding us. In the words of my five year old, "this is the best vacation ever!!". Thanks, Sarah...we'll be back!!

Sarah's house is great for a multi-generation vacation. The grandkids loved the back yard (especially the hammock), the parents enjoyed the kitchen and easy acces to nice wine bars and the grand parents enjoyed the comfort and open design that facilitated togetherness. Great house in a very nice location.

We had a great time in this spacious and comfortable home! Sarah was very generous and available to help at any time. The house lived very comfortably for our family of five, but would also be great for two families. The yard is beautiful and was great for our kids!

We had a family reunion vacation in the San Diego area and stayed at this amazing home with breathtaking ocean views. The home was clean and well decorated on our arrival. This was a child friendly home which was great for our families. The view from the living room window is amazing. The location was also great as I was able to walk to the beach in less than 10 minutes although you do have to cross the railroad tracks for the short cut. We had a great time at the house and would highly recommend it.

Owner response: For future reference, construction began this year on a pedestrian crossing/underpass just one block away at Santa Fe. Expected completion is Fall 2012. It is a $3 million project that has been in the planning stages for 10 years. It will allow pedestrians, strollers, bicyclists, wheel chairs the ability to walk to the beach without crossing over the rail tracks. We are very much looking forward to our walks to the beach being shorter and safer.

We had a wonderful time in your home. The spacious light main floor was where we enjoyed being together, playing games, cooking, eating and a glass of wine after a day our and about. We went to Legoland, a whale watching cruise, the beach, golf, a yoga lession at Green Flash Yoga. We celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary as well as New Years Eve. We left a 1000 piece puzzle which we finished while here. Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home. Saskia and family (SF,LA,Phoenix)

We so enjoyed the view and the home! it was so nice to be able to gather with family and friends for dinner and visiting - this home was perfect reunion space for a small groups of us over the week...customer service, clean, and comfortably roomy atmosphere. all cooking gear is in great shape and made it easier to cook and grill. We loved the fireplace table and spent every evening in front of it! what a treat in the middle of a very hot summer for we Texans~!

Sarah's home was really terrific for our family reunion. Everyone who visited us commented on the open floor plan and view. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were very comfortable. Sarah was always very gracious and took care of all our needs. It was great to have her right on the spot. Someday we all would love to return to Sarah's house.

We had the greatest time in Cardiff by the sea and the best part was staying in your lovely home. Terrific views of the ocean from a comfortable patio with all of the amenities. So clean, so relaxing, so dramatic, the house is lovely. Any needs that we had were already anticipated and timely stocked. The bedrooms were comfortable and allowed each guest privacy. We had the best vacation ever here! I wanted to surprise my in-laws and instead of a hotel/resort, I booked this beautiful home in Cardiff. I was a little concerned because you never know if the description/pictures will match up when you get there. This home far exceeded our expectations! There was every amenity we needed, it was a short walk to the beach and the ocean views were simply incredible! We had a great time in Cardiff, since we wanted a quiet area and something within walking distance of the beach, coffee shop and grocery. We spent so much time on the lovely deck, just viewing the ocean. The house is very roomy and comfortable, and we cooked in every night, with a great kitchen.

What a beautiful place to gather your family around to enjoy each other and the wonderful weather, sights, and, of course, the ocean! This location is far enough removed from the bustle of San Diego, but close enough to partake of the many attractions offered there. The home itself is lovely, very clean, and the owner is available to handle any situation that may arise. I would definitley recommend this property!
