Country Log Cabin in the Linville Area,it is a private vacation home. Very nicely furnished and made available to respectful renters. Only 2 min. from Central Linville, 10 min. from Grandfather Mountain and just minutes from the slopes of Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, Hawk's Nest, and Appalachian Ski Resorts.

This Country Log Cabin is tucked away in a quiet mountain community,minutes from the Grandfather Mountain where every summer the Highland Games are celebrated. During Fall Banner Elk has The Woolly Worm Festival. Also in Fall with the changing of the leaves enjoy Valle Crusis their Country Fair,crafts,food and live music ,admission is FREE.In Halloween checkout the Annual Ghost Train at Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock. Some popular attractions around Linville are Linville Falls, Linville Gorge, Pisgah National Forest, and The Blue Ridge Parkway.

For the golfer in the group,the mountain courses around Linville are beautiful as they are challenging. The Grandfather Course,designed by Ellis Maples. The Linville Gulf Club,designed by the legendary golf architect Donald Ross.

During the summer water rafting and zip-line are very exiting and popular,lots of fishing and lakes near by,like Watauga Lake just west of Boone,it can be accessed at several public and private boat ramps,and marinas for a nominal fee ($5 or less) to canoe or water sports.

Take a day and head to Ashville and see The Biltmore Estate, tour the nearby Wineries, Antique Shops, or drive to Mount Airy home of The Andy Griffin Show.

Boone is only 20 min. and there are plenty of restaurants, movie theaters, shopping.
Blowing Rock 25 min. it is a Norman Rockwell picture perfect town, plenty of shopping and restaurants.
Banner Elk is just 10 min. and also has plenty of shopping and restaurants.

  • The Whitetail Country Cabin was wonderful. We spent the last week of December and rang in the New Year! We can't wait to go again. The cabin is very comfortable, spacious and beautiful. It is in a very convenient location close to many attractions. We enjoyed hiking, Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Pkwy and the nearby ski resort. We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi after a long day of hiking. We hope to go back this year again.

  • Not many words are needed to express my stay at the cabin,it was the closest experience to feeling like I was in my own home. The cleaniness, space and all included amenities that were included, made it a home away from home. I hope to return to North Carolina sometime in the future and I will without a doubt make arrangements to make my stay an experience at the cabin.

  • The Whitetail Country Cabin is Wonderful! We just spent an incredibly peaceful 4 days and 3 nights here and I must say it was unforgettable. This was truly a getaway. All eight of us were very comfortable, the cabin is really spacious. The kids had a great time with all the Summer time activities nearby like fishing, canoeing, river rafting, gem mining and the Tweetsie’s Railroad attraction. We all went for a hike on Grandfather Mountain and really enjoyed the zoo up there. The scenic views on the Blue Ridge Parkway were nothing short of Majestic. It was better than you described. I can’t wait to see it again during the Winter. We will definitely be booking a whole week next time. Thank you so much.
