Villa Santa Rosa is a 2,400 sq foot three bedroom/three bath beautifully designed vacation retreat nestled in the popular town of Palm Desert. French doors from every room lead to a private backyard featuring a large swimming pool, spa and lush landscaping. Special features include a French country formal dining room, a colorful kitchen with granite slab counter tops and state-of-the-art built-in appliances. All bathrooms have been generously upgraded with travertine floors and granite counters. Enjoy a jacuzzi bath or spacious shower in the gentle light of glass block windows. All three spacious bedrooms have their own full bath.
The Jakarta room, the Master suite, has a stunning hand carved mahogany Cal king bed with matching entertainment armoire and islander furnishings.
The Monet suite captures desert views through French doors and has its own private, brick courtyard. The charm of a French cottage is captured in the carved armoire and luxurious linens.
The Sonoma room embodies a classic California craftsman style complete with plantation shutters and ceiling fan.
A large living room features an imported 17th century French stone fireplace. Hand-carved mahogany and pine furnishings, high thread count Egyptian cotton sheets and towels and original art work add that special touch of sophistication.

Alan and Jane live in Sonoma County wine country when not spending time in their Palm Desert vacation home. Alan is an ER physician in Santa Rosa and Jane is a fine art photographer and is active in art galleries in Sonoma County. Their home is decorated with many pieces of original art work; some reflecting the Northern California wine country and other pieces highlighting the beauty of the desert. Jane and Alan are avid travelers and have been using VRBO as a source for their own vacations. They purchased this home in 2007 and beautifully furnished it with the intention to retire there in the near future. Until then, they are offering it as a home for others looking to find that perfect desert vacation home.

We have had a lovely stay here in Palm Desert. What a delightful spot! The home is charmingly decorated with a European touch, fully stocked, and the local gardening, pool/house cleaning, and property management services were top notch. The owners were friendly and responsive to our questions. The fine art photographs created by the owner provide an elegant touch in just about every room, and were admired by our guests as well. Although the town of Palm Desert with all its services is just minutes away, the large private pool and blooming garden felt very secluded Even the weather was perfect for the entire month of April. We were very sorry to leave. We will certainly choose this home when we return to Palm Desert in the future.

We loved this place! Location is ideal, a few blocks from and accessible by foot or bike to the fun shopping and restaurant haven of El Paseo, and very close to the magnificent demonstration garden, the Living Desert. Quiet and private, it was perfect for our romantic sejour. Clean, impeccably furnished, nice neighborhood, gorgeous landscaping and very comfy. We especially liked the fact it was not in a gated subdivision so did not have to go through security all the time. We were spoiled and will definitely come again and stay longer.

I rented this wonderful home in April for myself and my family. From the description on the website it looked perfect. IT WAS!! We all had a fantastic time in this wonderful home. The description was extremely accurate but although the photos make the property look wonderful, they don't always do it justice. The breathtaking floral display at the front of the house was magnificent and a pleasure to pull onto the drive. Our friends that visited us during our stay were in awe at their beauty and the rest of the garden was also a floral delight. Internally this wonderful home had everything anyone could need. It was extremely clean and well cared for. While we were there we wanted for nothing. It is extremely well equipped, beautifully decorated and furnished and really felt like home from home. Fabulous pictures and floral arrangements, it really was well designed. The owners were extremely fast in responding to our queries and were very caring and helpful with our requests. We were renting for two weeks but were fortunate enough to extend our stay due to the volcanic eruption which cancelled the flight we were booked on to go home. The owners were extremely helpful and understanding of our situation and we were able to extend our stay by another week. How lucky we were to be staying at the Villa Santa Rosa. My Granddaughters (Age 8 and 5) thought the pool was fantastic and the youngest one learnt to swim while we were there. They would love to go back whenever they could and they tell me they have already started to save!! We all had a very relaxing time in the pool and spa and dining outside was fabulous. Both I am my family were fortunate to come across this wonderful home and I am hoping that I will be able to return to the Villa Santa Rosa in the not too distant future. All thats left is really to say a BIG THANK YOU to Alan and Jane for being so helpful and accomodating to us during our stay and extended vacation. I look forward to staying at the Villa Santa Rosa again very soon.

Our family spent the recent holidays in Villa Santa Rosa. This home is beautiful, comfortable and cheerful. The kitchen is posh but user friendly with immediate access to the outdoor pool area. Beds and baths are luxury hotel quality. Pool and spa were super clean and ready for our use upon arrival, also was cleaned once during our visit by their pool service. Grounds and gardens are lovely, we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds! Outdoor fireplace adjacent to spa is delightful after dark, esp during the cooler winter evenings. Cable TV and DVD player in top working order, easy to use with detailed instructions. Wifi ready. Perfect location for every activity and destination. Very quiet, close your eyes and hear only birds chirping. Bravo!
