Welcome to The Lazy Lodge located inside the Coosawattee River Resort in Ellijay Georgia.
This is a brand new cabin just built. Enjoy all we have to offer. The cabin is decorated with rustic décor. It has beautiful hardwood walls and floors, and large vaulted ceilings.
Want to get away from it all, but still need to be connected to the outside world? Bring your laptop! We now have wireless highspeed internet and a computer for your convience.
You can completely relax and do nothing at all but listen to the sounds of nature while lounging on one of two large private back decks (both covered). If you choose to leave the cabin, the area is filled with things to do. Start the day with a treat at the coffee shop in Historic Old Ellijay at the roundabout, then stroll through the different shops and antique stores. The more adventurous can hike, mountain bike, tube, river raft, boat, etc. Day trips can be taken to Helen, Dahlonega, Chattanooga, Amicalola Falls, etc.
Our cabin is just 1 1/2 hours from Atlanta.
Here you can enjoy all the comforts of home. We offer a 3 bedroom and 3 baths, plus a "HUGE" Loft. There are three stories. The main floor of the cabin has a kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom w/queen bed, and full bathroom. The upstairs has a loft with a full size futon, separate bedroom w/queen bed, fireplace, and a full bathroom. The downstairs has a bedroom w/2 sets of bunkbeds, full bathroom. Large game room with pool table, air hockey table & foosball table,also a queen sleeper sofa. Perfect for the kids to hang out! We also have a Fire Pit located off the lower private back patio.
The kitchen has beautiful granite counter tops. And is fully equipped for all of your culinary needs. This Cabin also has a washer and dryer. The dining room seats up to 8 people, with 2 counter bar stools in the kitchen. The living room has a gas log fireplace and cable TV. Relax and enjoy the private back deck and watch the sunset, or sit on the front porch and drink your morning coffee. We also offer a gas BBQ grill.
This cozy cabin is perfect for everyone. Couples who would love to have a Romantic and Peaceful Get a Way, or for families and friends. You have full use of the Resort Amenities, when you stay at the Lazy Lodge. 2 out door pools, 1 inside heated pool, video arcade center, TV room, pool table, ping pong table, air hockey, mini golf, basketball, tennis, full gym, playground, doggy park, fishing at fish trap park in the resort. (no license required). Huge Picnic area on a lake, horsebacking, and have lots of fun tubing and kayaking down the Coosawattee River.

- The Coosawattee River Resort encompasses over 8,500 acres with the Coosawattee River and Mountain town Creek flowing through the property as well as many smaller creeks and branches. There are over 200 miles of roads in the resort, with four controlled entry gates. The resort has 5 parks for picnicking, rafting, canoeing, fishing, or simply relaxing; and 3 pool/recreation areas (2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor heated pool that is open year round) with volleyball courts, tennis courts, miniature golf, exercise/workout facility, and game rooms. There is also a stocked fishing pond, and walking and hiking trails. You will also find wildlife of all descriptions - deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, bears, eagles, hawks and more. 3 night min for Memorial Day, Labor Day & New Years - $150.00
4 Night min stay for 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Rate Based on 4 guest. Each additional guest is $10.00 per night per person
Resort Fee: $25.00 You have full use of the Resort Amenities.
Stay 2 nights and get the 3rd night at 1/2 off.
Stay 6 nights and get the 7th night free.

My husband and I have stayed in this beautiful cabin twice, once being the night of our wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay both times. It's very comfortable and a wonderful place to just relax and get away! We will definitely be back and look forward to working with Wendy again.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We met up with extended family to celebrate the 2011 New Year. We had a wonderful experience!! Wendy was very professional and wonderful to work with. The cabin is beautifully decorated and has many detailed furnishings. The cabin is roomy and a great place to take a breather from life. You can tell that a lot of thought and love has gone into building Lazy Lodge. In addition the people of Ellijay are extremely friendly! A++ Value!

Russ and Wendy are the most gracious hosts. I found the cabin to be comfortable and homey unlike many others I have rented in the past. The resort is clean and welcoming. The neighbors were wonderful! I have to say that we all were sad to have to leave! We are keeping the cabin on our short list of places we want to come back to!!! Thank you Russ and Wendy for giving us a wonderful week!!!!
