Franklin is the "Beverly Hills of Nashville." This property did not disappoint! It was a beautiful contrast to the busy, "LA" feel of downtown Nashville. The owners were so accommodating, sweet, and provide everything you need for a comfortable stay! When I am back in Tennessee, I will certainly be staying here again. :-)

We stayed at the cottage with our family of 4 and my parents and my in-laws (8 in total) and there was lots of room for all of us. The cottage was lovely, the pool was great and the grounds were absolutely beautiful! The photos did not do it justice. The cottage was located about 20 minutes outside of Nashville and it was an easy drive to the city. The cottage was located in an upscale neighbourhood and many beautiful homes. Wes and Linda were amazing hosts and always made themselves available to answer any questions, etc. Can't wait until our next trip to Nashville!!

Accomodations were perfect for our needs, we were traveling with my elderly parents and my children. The layout was perfect as the bed and one bath on the main level were at the back of the home. Home was stocked with everything we needed and was clean and neat. The grounds were beautiful and the location was great. We highly recommend this one!!!

We were two retired couples vacationing in the USA's foremost cities for music, New Orleans, Memphis and Nashville. Nashville was our last stop so we were ready for something a little quieter where we could relax, but still enjoy all that Nashville has to offer including the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. This cottage was almost perfect. It was spacious and quiet and had been very nicely restored to a near luxury level. For the first time on our trip we were able to sleep with the windows open. The host couple lived right next door and found the perfect balance of meeting our needs and letting us do our own thing. The two bathrooms were on the main level, a flight of stairs down from the two upstairs bedrooms. This was not a problem for us but perhaps a consideration for others. We will definitely stay hear again the next time we spend a few days in Nashville.

Owner response: Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a nice review. It always makes me happy to know our guest enjoyed their stay and the cottage. Please come back soon!

My family and my sister's family have used this rental as our home base when visiting Nashville twice in the last year. We love this rental. It's roomy, neat, well-maintained, comfortable, and a perfect space for families with kiddos to relax and spread out. Our boys loved exploring the grounds, visiting with the owner's dog, and jumping in the pool. The owners were exactly as other reviewers have said - friendly and welcoming without being omnipresent. In fact, we often felt like we had the place to ourselves... but were able to ask for anything we needed. Wes even went as far as to start a bonfire for us so we could roast marshmallows. I can't imagine staying anywhere else! From this location, we were able to visit relatives in Nashville and spent a day visiting Franklin (just a short, very scenic drive away). If you go to Franklin, make sure to stop at Merridee's Bread Basket for a killer breakfast!

Owner response: I love our repeat visitors! We are looking forward to hopefully seeing you again soon and thanks for taking the time to write a review!

Wonderful spot. It's in a very nice cul de sac neighborhood, each house having a huge piece of property, so privacy is not an issue. The guest house is attached by a porch to the main house, but that was never a problem. The owners, Linda and Wes, were friendly but not intrusive. The house itself was very comfortable and roomy. The only negative was that the kitchen amenities were minimal. We could have used more cooking utensils, plates and cups. The knives were extremely dull--had there been a sharpening stone, I could've taken care of that. Oh, the squealing kitchen faucet needs to be dealt with! These were all minor inconveniences, however. Another big plus is the proximity to (within 5miles) plenty of shopping and eating places--most notably my favorite, Loveless cafe.

This is a charming Property with plenty of room for 6 adults! My girlfriends and I loved cooking in the spacious kitchen. We had coffee every morning on the wrap around porch and sunbathed by the pool. Its a 30-40 minute drive into Nashville, so we enjoyed a lot of the sights and sounds of the city and then came back to a quiet retreat in the country cottage.

My teenaged grandchildren and I just got back from our 4-night stay at this beautiful cottage. The layout of the cottage was perfect. The two upstairs bedroom (with sitting room between) was a perfect area for my 4 granddaughters. They had their own perfect suite. The property is absolutely beautiful, and Denver (the dog) was fun and entertaining, too. I would definitely rent this property again when going to the Nashville area. The location is about a 30 minute drive to downtown Nashville, which may be too far for some folks, but it was perfect for us. We were able to enjoy the property in this location close to Franklin. Everything you need is close...grocery stores, restaurants, etc. Perfect stay! Thank you, Linda and Wes!

Our stay was so wonderful! The home was perfect for the 5 of us, and we truly felt at home. Everything is maintained wonderfully, and the grounds were so serene. Thanks for leaving up the Christmas lights and tree for us- it was a perfect Christmas celebration- even if it was the week after. I look forward to visiting again!

We just left here yesterday and I woke in my own house today wishing I was still here in this beautiful serene, cozy cottage. It was beautiful. It was spacious enough for 4 adults and 1 child to enjoy a down home southern Christmas. I would recommend this to anyone, and hope to go back some day. Thank you

If you are looking for a vacation home for a stay in Nashville I couldn't recommend this place more. The home is nicely furnished, has a nice pool, is extremely roomy, and the landscaping is beautiful. It was a perfect getaway for my family. If you like to hike or play in the creak you are close to a nice park with trails. Linda and her husband were extremely hospitable and were kind of enough to mail everything home that "my wife" forgot.

If you're looking for peace, tranquility and safety in an upscale area this is the place for you! The neighborhood is very quiet as well as the owners. The only activity we witnessed were cars leaving in the morning and returning at night. Despite the cottage being connected to the main house via a covered walkway it still feels private. Note that both bathrooms are on the first level which wasn't a problem for us but may be if older adults plan to sleep upstairs. We used the property in November, lovely weather for that time of year btw, with grandkids and children using the second floor bedrooms. Grandparents got the bedroom on the first floor. The property could be better marked. We arrived at night and passed the property several times but assumed it must be the place since the owners had kindly left many outdoor and indoor lights on in both residences. Downtown Nashville is 30 minutes away so a car is necessary.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage. The cottage was very spacious, with all the comforts of home. We came for a Sisters' Weekend in Nashville/Franklin and so enjoyed waking up each morning to the beautiful gardens, Tennessee hills and deer. The owners were extremely gracious and provided us with every convenience as well as great suggestions for sightseeing. Thank you so much!

We surely enjoyed our stay this past weekend at your lovely guest cottage. It was such a wonderful setting for meeting our son and his friend from St. Louis. I could not imagine finding a more ideal place for relaxing and for conveniently touring Franklin and Nashville. Also, I must say that having coffee on the back porch overlooking the flower garden and your beautiful grounds was just heavenly. We can hardly wait to visit with you again.

We had 3 couples staying at the cottage March 20-27, 2009. It was a beautiful place to relax and enjoy time with friends sitting by the fireplace and on the porch soaking up the sun. It is so much more intimate than a hotel. Thanks for making our trip to the area so relaxing.

March 6-8, 2009 -- A little slice of heaven! So much nicer than staying in a hotel. All the comforts of home -- there's nothing like sightseeing in Nashville all day and then coming home to curl up in front of a fire. I can't wait to come back and see all the flowers in bloom!
