DELIGHTFUL STAY

We very much enjoyed our stay in this loft in a wonderfully colorful and lively neighborhood. Little Italy, Chinatown, LES, Nolita, Noho, Soho, the East Village, Greenwich Village and beyond, are all at your feet to explore. You are easy walking distance to all the big stores on Broadway, like Bloomingdales, Uniqlo, Crate and Barrel. Yet away from that hustle and bustle in a true NYC neighborhood. There are subway stations nearby to go farther afield. The apt. is comfortable, clean, very spacious for NYC, and light. The two bedrooms located in the back of the flat are quiet. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are handsome and new. The building with keyed elevator feels safe and secure. The elevator is very nice, new, and large, and opens right into the living room. The owners, Taunya and Mike, are extremely professional and responsive to any questions or concerns, and the manager/housekeeper Coletta is delightful, friendly, competent, and welcoming. The petite kitchen is adorable with top-of-the-line appliances. We very much enjoyed shopping for provisions in all the wonderful nearby shops (be sure to buy pasta at the ancient pasta shop on Grand near Mulberry, the best we ever ate! ) , and the huge Whole Foods up on Houston St.(they deliver), and enjoyed leisurely breakfasts and lunches at the apt. There are also lots of options for delivered take-out, as well as ENDLESS wonderful restaurants to explore. We liked Pulinos, Peasant, Public, Tartinery, Epistrophy, Emporio, Rubirosa, and Lombardi's Pizza, to name just a few within blocks. It's restaurant heaven! There is a 24 hour Duane Reade drug store located nearby at Spring and Lafayette, which was useful. Probably my one suggestion would be to add a small cafe table & chairs in the living room so guests can eat there, instead of perched on 2 kitchen stools or on the sofa. And to replace the curtains with easier-to-open blinds, as the views out both the front and back of the flat are charming. We hope to return in the future. We could have easily stayed a month! It's such a lovely alternative to a hotel.

What a fabulous location, and it's true what they say location, location, location!!! Between Chinatown, Soho, Nolita, and Little Italy. A little bit of everything. My family completely enjoyed th area and especially the loft. Spacious, felt like home, the kitchen is small bit extravagant. Top of the line appliances. Plenty of supplies and very comfortable for our family. We traveled with our 16 and 13 year old. Surroundings were safe, pleasant and friendly neighbors. Close to everything!!! Easy access to subway for all areas. Fabulous coffee shops for a bit of java and cookies and amazing selection of restaurants. Husband completely loved the fresh duck he was able to buy 2 blocks away... Both him andy daughter say, " the best we've had ". it really is about location!! Colletta was very helpful and always available. So comfortable. My kids ha their own room and bathroom. Every room has a flat screen and cable, complimentary wifi and plenty of privacy and space. Amazing time!! Will definitely return!!!!

I have just returned from a fabulous 5 night stay with my family in this lovely apartment. There were 5 of us -- my parents, my husband and I, and my sister, and we all slept very comfortably with plenty of room in the living room to relax after a long day pounding the NYC streets. The owner, Taunya, was great. She was very responsive and accommodating (she allowed us to leave our luggage in the apartment after check out). The apartment is clean and modern and perfectly located on the edge of SoHo and Little Italy, where you are surrounded by beautiful restaurants and shopping, and close to several subway stations. I would absolutely recommend it to a family, a group of girlfriends, or two couples. It's a far better deal than the exorbitant hotels in NYC.

We enjoyed our stay here in late August, despite Hurricane Irene. Location is superb, right on the northern edge of Little Italy. Subway is 2 blocks away in either direction. There are loads of touristy restaurants right outside the door on Mulberry. Or you can stroll a few blocks to some great spots: Cafe Habana, Torrisi, Little Cupcake shop, the list goes on. Small grocery stores are nearby, or walk 10 minutes to Whole Foods on Houston. Apartment itself is relatively modern and roomy overall. Kitchen is smaller than it looks in photos, but has top-grade appliances and plenty of dishes, pots, etc. Bathrooms are also small, but like the rest of unit were very clean on arrival. Lots of towels, sheets, and washer/dryer and air conditioners worked fine. Minor complaints: no soap in either bathroom and the bedroom windows leaked during the storm. But hey it was a hurricane. Taunya was great throughout rental process and checked in with us before and after. Terrific alternative to a 4-star hotel. You won't be disappointed.

Our family of 4 stayed at this Mulberry Street apartment for a week in August. I can't say enough about the amazing location. In less than 5 minutes, you're in Chinatown, Nolita, or Soho. Various subway lines were nearby so we easily made our way all over Manhattan. With all the Little Italy restaurants right outside the front door, we never cooked, but the kitchen in the apartment was very well equipped with a Viking range, refrigerator and dishwasher. The apartment is very roomy, especially by New York standards. It is clean and comfortable and we felt very safe. Traveling with 2 kids, having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was the ultimate luxury. It was so much better than cramming us all into a hotel room! The bedrooms face the back courtyard and are extremely quiet. Coletta met us there and was so helpful in showing us around and making sure everything was just right. The owner, Taunya, was great, very easy to work with and quick to respond to questions. I hope that we will be able to stay at the apartment for our next New York adventure!

We stayed a month (couple plus 2 small kids and our nanny). The apartment was great for our needs. The location was perfect -- 2 blocks from Chinatown for affordable shopping & great produce, 3 blocks from SOHO for fantastic restaraunts and shopping, a mile from the Brooklyn bridge and the financial district to the south and 1 mile from Washington Square Park, Chelsea and Union Square to the north.. The building is only 5 years old, so in great shape. The apartment is huge by NYC standards. The bedrooms are in the back so it's very quiet. The kitchen has a viking stove, a large refrigerator, dishwasher and an eating area which was perfect for cooking. The wifi, televisions in every room, and very compfortable beds were also great. Coletta was very responsive and helpful. The only issue we had was the air conditioning in the main 2/3 of the apartment stopped working before we arrived. It took over 10 days to repair, while NYC was having 90 degree, humid days. Coletta and the owner were very responsive and tried to fix the issue. But the fact remained we were extremely uncomfortable in 2/3 of the apartment for a big part of our stay.

The apartment was fine (rented from 6-18-11 to 6-24-11) but the description was not entirely accurate. It is definitely not in SoHo. It's in Little Italy which is only a couple of blocks long; the rest of the area is Chinatown. The description also says it sleeps 5-6. This is true if someone wants to sleep on a roll-away bed in the living room and another on a worn sofa. The bedrooms sleep two in each bed. The apartment could be really cute, but it is "tired." The living room furniture and rugs are worn out and slightly dirty as are the walls. Several of the wall plugs and lamps did not work as well as one of the hair dryers and one of the bedroom clocks, and the air conditioning unit in the living room didn't work which made it especially hard on the person who had to sleep in the living room. There is a balcony which connects both bedrooms but the door in the guest bedroom doesn't open. Only 2 sets of keys are provided which made it hard for 5 ladies who like to go their separate ways. On the plus side, the apartment was clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was plently of hot water in the showers. We are 5 ladies in our early 60's and always felt safe in the area. There are many restaurants on the same street and the one next door (Benito One) was delicious and very reasonable. Several times I contacted the owner by email and each time received a prompt reply.

My 2 sisters and a 20 year old niece stayed in this great apartment for 5 nights. I've stayed in several nice hotels in many areas of NY. Tribeca and nearby areas are the most stylish/accessible to me. Great restaurants and bars, human scaled buildings...layers of history. We really loved the beds in this apt. as well as the size and it was extremely well situated. The front doorway from Mulberry is in a well lit fairly busy area (not too busy but not dark and lonely either). We weren't bothered by noise however. It was a peaceful roomy place to come home to. The only downside is that Tribeca isn't adjacent to Central Park! Oh well! We had Bfast in the apt...Balthazar croissants..(2 blocks over) and our own coffee.

We have stayed in New York numerous times over the years. Always in a Mid Town Hotel. This was so much more comfortable and fun! Easy access to anywhere. This time we were in town for our son's wedding and it proved to be the smartest thing we had done. The floor plan is great! Had every convenience and we would rent it again.
